For those of us with "less than perfect skin"

So I have never had great skin...

I also have never had severe acne or anything either...

I have always just had sorta blotchy skin with a few blemishes...nothing really embarassing, but I would never go anywhere without a liquid foundation to even it all out.

Well finally I broke down and bought the $50 Proactiv Solution Kit and I LOVE it. I had tried many different facial products, the other imitation proactiv kits from other brands like Neutrogena, Loreal, etc. They were only about $20-30 so I bought those. They helped a bit but didn't clear up my skin completely and made my skin dry within a couple days. So I quit using them.

I have been using the Proactive now for just one week and my skin has never looked better. Not only are my few blemeshes disappearing, but the redness and blotchiness is also going away. It also hasn't dried out at all.

So anyway, if you are not completely happy with your skin or have a DD or DS with acne problems...I 100% recommend spending the money on this product.

Good for you! I'm so glad you're seeing results with Proactiv.

I do have acne, and Proactiv isn't enough. Serious Skin Care works really well fortunately.

RE: For those of us with

If anyone's curious about a BC Pill that helps with skin - YAZ. My dermatologist recommended Yaz, and my gynecologist was happy to prescribe it. It's a lower dose of Yasmin, but again - still excellent for skin.

I've battled KP (Keratosis Pilaris) on the backs of my arms for a few years now, and I've tried dozens topical treatments prescribed by my dermatologist, but Yaz is the only thing that worked.

A few years ago, I was on Accutane for some acne that wouldn't clear, so I'm sure the Accutane combined with BC Pill helped. But, this round, since my KP was my only issue, I thought I'd have to live with it. I needed the Pill for birth control reasons first and foremost, but it's got great benefits!

OMG! I've been treating my "acne" on my upper arms/back/shoulders with neutrogena acne wash and erythromycin topical solution per my doctor - nobody ever said anything about KP - but it seems like that is my problem... has anybody else dealt with this and, if so, what did you use to treat it?

Thanks!

Mary

RE: For those of us with

Dermadoctor makes something called KP duty, specifically for KP. I've never used it but I see it advertised in magazines all the time.
My whole family is practically plagued with KP.
Good luck!!:)
