Cathlete
Around the 4 o'clock hour (at the end of the school day) when I get home, I am VERY hungry. I usually eat some dry cereal or peanuts, but find myself eating too much of them. I think I might not be eating enough during the day to get me through until dinner.
Here's pretty much what I eat daily, only dinner changes.
Breakfast: 1 cup oatmeal w/some walnuts and 1/2 banana and coffee.
Morning snack: ww toast w/natural peanut butter or ww crackers w/peanut butter
Lunch: Med. size salad w/a little bit of the "good" oil for dressing, a tomato basil wrap from Gardenburger, and low fat/sugar yogurt.
Snack (about 2-3): South Beach high protein bar (about 140 calories)
So, what the heck am I doing wrong? Is lunch too light? Do I need more protein? Any recommendations on what to eat between classes at 2-3 if that snack is the problem?
I don't get hungry at night. Just at around 4 o'clock time. I eat dinner at 6:30, so waiting until then to eat is a long wait.
Thanks in advance.
