Follow up: do you have a nail color you just can't live without?

Just for fun.

I don't really paint my fingernails--occasionally clear polish or some sheer whitener. But this time of year my toes are NEVER EVER without color!

So, I try pinks, I try bronzes, I try metallics, I try trendy stuff like blues & greens, everything under the rainbow, but I always go back to red. You just cannot go wrong w/red toenails. My favorite color was Maybelline Wet Shine Rainy Day Red--I loved the whole Wet Shine line, I never needed a top coat it was so shiny. In fact, it was such a great product it's been discontinued. Now I am once again on the hunt for the perfect red.

What's your favorite nail color?

I don't know the name of the color but it is this bright corally pinkish color that just screams "Summer" and "Tropical" on my toes. I am also never without color this time of year especially bright ones. (But not day-glo colors)

Generally the tootsies are pink but when I'm in the mood for a Mondo Red it's Revlon's Cherries In the Snow. An oldie but goodie.

Always clear on my fingers, some sort of pink on my toes. I don't have a specific color that I always choose. Whatever I'm in the mood for that day is what the toes get! I'm so plain and predictable. x(

Red is awesome when I want to be va-va-va-voom. But there's something so clean, elegant, and sexy about very pale sheer pinky-beige. It whispers "classy.'

I love to paint my toenails, but my fingernails are usually bare. If I were to paint them, something "pale sheer pinky-beige" is what I'd use. Do you have any specific recommendations?

I hardly ever paint my fingernails. As soon as I get one little chip I start picking at them and before you know it all of the nail polish is off. Does not really seem worth it to me. However I always paint my toenails. My favorite brand is Nicole. It lasts for weeks before I have to repaint them. My favorite colors are funky shades of purple like the darker ones. A deep red with sparkles that I bought at Hot Topic comes in a close second (when you put it on it looks like the famous red slippers from Wizard of Oz). However I do not us the red one as much because it does not last as long.

I don't really have a favorite. I just keep buying colors. I usually just paint my toes too. I figure finger nail polish is cheap enough that I can buys lots. I found a red made by orly that is really pretty and shiny. Not sure of the nail but I like that brand because it doesn't seem to chip as much.

I do my toes once in a while in the summer, usually a deep pink. I also like black. I used to have my nails done all the time but stopped soon after I started lifting. Now between lifting, gardening, chickens and other chores, it just isn't worth it. And I actually like the way my hands look naturally, anyway.

My toes, year-round, are usually I'm Not Really a Waitress or Bogota Blackberry (both OPI). I just lightened up with Berry Delicious (Revlon), and I'm really liking it!

China Glaze is the brand name of my favorite color and the color is Light My Tiki! It just sounds exotic! I also don't normally paint my nails, too much maintenance.

I'm Not Really a Waitress for my toes -- DH loves it!!

For my finger nails, I rarely paint them, but if I do, it's Revlon "Wedding White" with a Sally Hansen "Hard As Nails" clear topcoat, prevents the chipping.

Anyone ever notice that OPI just renames their colors..certain ones? They are the same color but with a different name?

I was loving Russian Navy last winter...for summer I love Cajun Shrimp-a bright coral, then I have them paint white daises on my big toes!:7
California Raspberry is a fave too...

For my natural nails you cannot beat Essie brand polish, they have the best light pinks around. I am into Limo-scene right now.

Oh! Sally Hansen makes these pens with polish, they are fabulous! I just painted my nails in under 3 minutes, and they dried right away.
