Good morning girls-

thought I'd start the post to get my mind off the halftime show post - I'm so fired up right now it would be a good time to workout!

Anyway... Sabine, I think your workout routine is great and I'm going to start following it w/modification today (I don't have the S & H series so I'll substitute the pyramids).

What are we going to call this month?(besides "get me off my lazy expanding butt and stop eating cheese balls and workout" which seems a little long)

Actually Saturday I did MIC so I took yesterday off. Did well all weekend nutritionally until I had fried chicken last night during the SB. WOW, I forgot how good it is. Back on track today...

Pinky and Tracy, don't use the bat yet! When my family is here I try to change my workout time so its not so obvious that I'm doing it. Then I can avoid any discussion about the subject- don't stop working out though, because the mental health aspect is mandatory to survive long visits!

Good morning all,
I see I need to go back and read the weekend edition as I have clearly missed something.

Brenda, I don't even think about doing all of MIC anymore - just too much for me. (also I'm holding my fingers in my ears when you talk about fried chicken...)

Saturday was Pyramid Upper Body - full pyramid then Athlete's classical stretch.
Sunday was IMAX 2 then Yoga Stretch
Today I started a "CTX/PS 2x per week" rotation, which I may only do for one week. Today was CTX Power Circuit + PS/CST. I'm pooped.

I actually missed the 1/2 time excitement. I had put the tv on mute and was reading!

BTW, I caved and preordered the 3 new dvd's. Well, actually, my daughter did the ordering for me since she has a computer and I don't. I called her up and requested she try and she obliged me. Also, I chose the Panthers as the winner so :-( no mug for me.

Sounds like everyone is off to a good start.
I am busy cleaning today but I did take a hour break to go for a run:) I am planning on working out again this afternoon.I need to do weights.I don't know if I will do a full body video or just upper or lower.

Brenda- On the weekend edition I had suggested renaming the check in 'Beat the winter blues' for February. What do you all think?

As far as rotations go, I am quite smitten with the one I created and posted in the weekend edition of the check in so I will be following that for February. I saw Cathe's posted rotation and was not wowed by it. So today I did S & H Legs and Shoulders and had a great workout! Wow! Did my shoulders feel it with the super slow count. Tomorrow is a step cardio workout so I might do either Step Blast or CIA 2206 Step2BeFit. Hmmm, maybe tomorrow would also be a good day to finally tackle Step Heaven? I'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow.

I really enjoyed the Super Bowl even though I was more disappointed than I thought I would be that the Panthers lost. I thought the half time show was stupid and then the Janet Jackson breast thing happened and that just sent me over the edge. It was so obvious (at least to me) that it was staged which leads me to shame on CBS for pulling this stunt during a time when families would be watching. As an adult, I'm thinking 'Big deal. So I saw Janet's boob'. But I imagine that parents with children were not amused. How do you go about explaining the whole scenario?

Anywho, gotta run and do some work. Talk to everyone later on.

Well today I did C&W, I'll be following Cathe's rotation albeit modified a bit to include my taste.

Tommorow I plan either IMAX2 or Stepblast; maybe the last mentioned as I feel I need to get better use of my BB series dvds. Haven't tried them all out yet.

I like the idea of beating the winter blues ...should've been Jan for me but it's all good. My floor is a work in progress and the dd is getting tired of having a gym in her room ...oh well!

Gotta go get the kids from school so you all have a fantastic day ! Ahhh the sun is shining so bright today ...it's lifting my mood :)
 
Hi everyone, today was PUB. I still pause the DVD a lot during the biceps segment. I didn't want to overwork my shoulders like I did last week so I skipped the ball ab work and used the LL/PH abs combo in Ab Hits instead. I was so hungry afterwards I practically inhaled my oatmeal with protein powder.

Brenda, I don't plan on stopping my workouts for a family that has never shown much respect for me. Neither do I plan on changing my workout time. This is my home, and I should be able to do as I please.:) Thanks for the thought, I do appreciate it a lot.

Sabine, I like the name you chose for this month's check-in. I'll look forward to seeing it tomorrow.:)

Tracy, the baseball bat was actually a gift to my son from my brother. I think he got it at Oshman's? My son hasn't shown much interest in playing the sport, or any sport for that matter. He is, however, learning to use the computer so well. He's 3, and he can surf through his favorite sites by going through his bookmarks. All I did was point out which ones were his. I'm amazed... I hope your daughter is doing better.

PINKY- I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU REMEMBER EVERYONE??!! THAT IS GREAT!!! OOPPSS.....

Well, I am switching to a Slim Series Rotaion w/ 4 days added in of a 1/2 hour of cardio. I hate to admit I like something other than Cathe, but I do like these workouts. I think next week I will do a Cathe week, and then go back and do a Slim Series week again, and so on.

I bought a new scale today. One that goes to the tenth of a lb. My husband compared it to the scale we have now, which just reads whole numbers, and this one put him a 1/2 lb. below the other one. I will feel so much better if it just drops even .2 of a lb. I weighed today for my Discovery Challenge, and it went up one lb. i wasn't upset though, I did really well on eating last night, but whAt I did eat was salty. I only need to look at salt and I retain water. I am looking forward to next week!!!!
