Can anyone recommend a rotation with the shows on fittv? I tivo them for my wife but she does not have a schedule and is confused by which shows she should do and in what order. We only have time to work out about 4 times a week. We just had a baby girl. Well any help would be great.
Thanks!

You can do two total body workouts and 2 cardio workouts. Her total body workouts that are on FitTV include Push/Pull, Supersets, Muscle Endurance and Power Hour. For cardio, she can do Kick, Punch & Crunch, IMAX 2, Rhythmic Step, Step Blast and Low Max

OR

You chould do two circuit workouts and two cardio.

Her circuit workouts include Boot Camp, Step, Jump & Pump and Cardio & Weights.

A rotation would look something like this:

Week 1

Mon - Power Hour
Tues - IMAX 2
Wed - Supersets
Thur - Kick, Punch & Crunch

Week 2

Mon - Boot Camp
Tues - Low Max
Wed - Step, Jump & Pump
Thurs - Rhythmic Step

Week 3

Mon - Muscle Endurance
Tues - Step Blast
Wed - Push/Pull
Thurs - Kick, Punch & Crunch

Week 4

Mon - Cardio & Weights
Tues - Rhythmic Step
Wed - Boot Camp
Thurs - Step, Jump & Pump

Hope this helps. Congratulations on your baby girl.

Thank you so much Marcy! Some of these shows I dont have yet on tivo. I will work on getting them. Cathe has the bes workouts I have seen put on tv. I have been working out a long time but when it comes to helping my wife with a rotation I could not figure it out.

Are the shows listed above the names of the shows? I need to look for them.
I have push/pull, abs and stretch shows. ok quick question would it be easier if i bought a bundle of dvds? If I did that will it give a routine with it? I am confused and I wann help her get back itno shape.
tahnks again.

A good one to get would be Cardio & Weights/IMAX 2. This DVD also has premixes which are shorter versions of the workouts. You might want to get the whole Intensity Series which is IMAX2/Cardio & Weights, Boot Camp/Muscle Endurance and Pyramid Upper Body and Pyramid Lower Body. I forgot to mention that the Pyramids are also on FIT TV. Before you buy them, try doing all of them from Fit TV first to see if you like them. If you're like any of the rest of us, you'll want to get them all. Another good series is the Body Blast Series. This has Supersets/Push Pull, Step Blast/Step and Step Jump & Pump and Kick Punch & Crunch/Legs & Glutes. I also forgot to mention that Legs & Glutes is also on Fit TV as well. Legs & Glutes is one of my favorite leg workouts. It's also one of the toughest. It moves very quickly so you almost feel like you're getting a cardio workout as well. I also like the music in the Body Blast series and it has a music louder option. Both of the series have the premixes. The Body Blast series has premixes which mix up both workouts on the DVD.

The shows I listed are the correct names of the shows. Also on Fit TV are Core Max and Stretch Max. These are also good workouts. The Core Max DVD has three workouts (one with no equipment, one with the stability ball and one with the stability ball and medicine ball). It also has 3 premixes. Stretch Max also has three workouts (one with no equipment, one with the stability ball and one with the resistance band.) Core Max and Stretch Max appear in their entirety on Fit TV. All of the other workouts are not the whole workout. For instance, Low Max and Kick, Punch & Crunch are missing about 20-25 minutes worth of the workout.

Hope this helps.

How about for a more intermedia type of workout?

I saw her rotations for basic and beginners but I am a little bit above the beginner..

I don't have Body Fusion or Low Impact Step DVD's but have her basic Step DVD that came with the stepper I bought.

Any ideas similar to Body Fusion workout?

Thanks.

I saw the pyramid shows listed. I see what you mean that is the name of them because I logged onto fitTv.com and saw the shows. I just dont want her to overtrain with doing the same body part to much you know. Are you one of the instructers on the show? Is that why you are so helpfull? It is really nice to have help like this. I wish fit tv would show them in the order of the rotation. Cathe should get them to change the way fit tv shows her shows.(just kidding) I could talk all day about fitness. I love it.
Thanks again.

Hi, you can find Cathe's entire schedule for the month of October on fittv.com. It is very simple.

1. go to fittv.com
2. click on tv schedules, or weekly schedules.
3. click on the calendar
4. pick the time frame you want and make sure you have fittv. (it gives the schedule for all of the channels owned by discovery.)

This will give you the line up for the entire month. This should help with creating a rotation.

You could also check the guide to all Cathes rotations and sub in Cathe's fittv workouts.

Hope this helpful.

Thank you! I went and looked at it. I see that they are going to have Kick, Punch and Crunch which I love. Eventhough its not a beginners or intermediate, I can do most of it. I love her kickboxing session.

Also, my husband wanted me to tape the Bootcamp, and they will also have it on 10/26.

I would love to see Body Fusion and Step Blast.

I am going to have to buy those, though. I don't think I've ever seen them on Fitness TV.

Can you only get Cathe's videos online or can you get them somewhere else?

I went to a Discovery store and happened to see her videos there. But they were very limited.

Hi Mommy and Cake Baker :),

Cathe's videos are **legally** sold only on her site (here, of course) and at FitTV, except for the videos that are included with the Original Step and with the boxed mini-step set that is/was sold at Target for a while. While there are Cathe tapes available on eBay often, a lot of the ones that are marketed as "new" are actually pirated copies that are illegal and also of inferior quality, and you're gambling if you buy there, in my opinion.

For the most bang for your buck, buy your Cathes directly from her. You'll get the full, unedited workouts and her volume discounts. :)

P.S. Body Fusion isn't on the FitTV rotation yet, but Step Blast is on pretty often. And it's a ton of fun!

No, I am not one of the instructors on the show but thanks for the compliment. I only started with Cathe a year ago but like you, I started TIVOing all her shows and decided which ones I liked. (Of course, I would up buying all of them.)

Good luck. Enjoy your workouts.

Marcy

If your looking to buy dvds check out Amazon.com. They have used and new Cathe dvds. I have had success with buying from them.

Jenn

P.S.
step blast is on fittv.:)
