Good morning, Ladies!

Pippa, good job on the workouts! I'm not familiar with Jen Edwards, going have to check her out.

Yesterday ended up being an unplanned rest day. I worked a 12 hr shift and came home with a headache I couldnt get rid of. That's one aspect of this peri-menopause stuff that's affecting me, I'm getting more headaches than I ever have. I've even had an MRI to make sure my brain's all there!

This morning I did CTX Upper Body split, omitting the shoulder section. I feel my shoulders are getting a bit too overdeveloped from all the shoulder work in alot of my other workouts. I hadnt done this one in a while and it kicked my butt! My legs are still feeling DOMS from LBB and yard work. I'm going to preview HiiT 40/20 later tonight as it's in the rotation this week and I've never done this one before. I want to see what Cathe has in store for me!

Off to work (ugh)! Have a good one!

Hi everyone!
Stacy - Hiit 40/20 is quite intense. Sometimes it's more like 35/25 for me :p
I managed UY Strength last night - not as bad as cardio, I thought. I've just done uy yin. Loved that one. More like I expect yoga to be!!!
I did gym style legs this morning, and went for an accidental run (dogs ran off). Not so sure I'll make the Xtrain Legs I'm supposed to be doing.
I'll be glad of an easier rotation once Rock Bottoms has finished. But I'm stubborn - I'm going to get it done!
Laura - I've not heard of Jen Edwards either. Worth looking into???
Speak soon

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I walk/jogged 4 miles in the morning and I did Xtrain Chest, Back, & Shoulders last night. Today was somewhat of an unplanned rest day but I think I can get a Coremax premix in tonight before bed. Tomorrow will either be a walk/jog or spinning depending on the weather.

Hi all

Cardio leg blast today. I didn't have alot of energy today. I don't know why. I had a banana before the workout. Justine - Jen Edwards is okay, But I'm a sucker for buying new dvds and not using them. I've also just got Karen Voights new Core Conditioning and stretch dvd which I may do later. I think Karen Voight is the Queen of the stretch workout.

Anyway tomorrows rest day, thank goodness.

I will start again Sunday.

Have good ones ladies.

Friday is my rest day.

Planning on HiiT 40/20 + core + BBW for Saturday and UY for Sunday.

My first week of Rock Bottoms I feel will be a partial success. I did want to get in an additional leg workout. Still working on tweaking it to a 5 day rotation plus still getting in yoga and upper body, and working, eating and sleeping ;)

I'm excited!! I was able to complete 40/20 without needing CPR! It was actually more 40/40 for me, and I needed to modify a few moves, but I was dripping with sweat and felt accomplished! I had feared this workout for so long and this rotation and the ladies on this forum have been pushing me to do more than I thought I could :) Hopefully my thunder thighs will see some results! I followed this with Core #1 from Xtrain and then did the BBW but sadly enough didnt have the energy to tack on the Bonus Barre from LBB.

Here's the progress for my first week of my tweaked Rock Bottoms:

Sun: Afterburn (1-10 x1 premix) + abs
Mon: UY disc 5 Balance (not too tough so didnt really feel worked out)
Tues: LBB standing only + abs
Wed: unplanned rest day
Thurs: CTX Upper body (omitted shoulders)
Fri: planned rest day
Sat: 40/20 + abs + BWW (minus Barre)
Sun: will do UY #6 Detox

I dont realistically seeing my doing Doubles, but we'll see. Not sure if next week I should do the workouts I didnt do from week 1 such as KPC, Athletic Step, Plyo Legs, KickMax or start with Week 2 and tweak those selections of workouts. It probably doesnt matter too much as long as I'm doing the leg workouts, BWW and the walking lunges. I may pair up my upper body day with the barre work.

Off for a much needed shower! Have a good Saturday everyone! :)

Fantastic Stacy! You must be much stronger than you gave yourself credit for. If you can do 40/20, you can do any of the workouts! (We'll that's what I tell myself). ;)
I'm missing cardio. The rotation is a bit lacking on that front.
Will post about my w/o later.
Justine

Had a mad-crazy day yesterday. I did XT Legs, Timesaver XT Chest Back Shoulders, LIS Cardio supersets bonus, Lower Body Sculpt and UY Detox!!!
Today was a little saner - Legs and Glutes (first time ever - quite liked it, but could have gone heavier), UY Vitality and UY Core. Was really pleased with how well I did on the core - thank you Cathe.
Tomorrow is supposed o be 4DS Bootcamp, which I don't have. I'll have to think something up, but I'd quite like to get both cardio and bis and tris in.
Only a few days to go on this rotation. Yippee.

Justine you are insane, lol!! How do you find the energy and the time to do all that??? Holy smokes!!

Do you have Cathe's original Bootcamp?? I like that one much better than 4DS anyway.

I'm doing the UY workouts in order. Have not gotten to Core yet. Tomorrow is Detox. So far the only one I likely wont do again or often is Balance.

Hi All,
I don't have the original bootcamp - so I did HiiT 40/20 (inspired by Stacy) followed by a timesaver XT bis and tris. Having read the 4DS breakdown, that seemed pretty similar. My legs were really tight for the HiiT - I struggled at the start. Also, I only have 3 risers on my step, so I cheated a bit! Glad to have a lower-half rest today, though.
I'm about to do UY Mountain Pose. No idea what that will entail
Yesterday I did the UY Core in place of STS yoga inspired core. I liked it because with some ab work I tend to arch my back - but this one suited me. He suggests 15-30 reps of all the excercises. I managed (about) 30 on all but one (my hip flexors gave up).
Tomorrow I'm supposed to do cardio core circuit straight into butts and guts. NO WAY!!!!!!! That's about 2 hours
Stacy - I haven't tried balance yet. I like Yin the best, and cardio the greatest challenge so far. I'm trying to follow the 108 day order (roughly). Without the meditation / cleanse / vegan bits.
Justine

Good job, Justine. My step has heights of 6, 8 and 10. I do all my stepping at 6, and I'll put it up to 8 for some moves, but sometimes if I'm tired that seems too high and and I feel I'm at risk for injury. I'm pretty short so that seems to work for me.

How did you like Mountain Pose. I read that it's alot of standing around, literally. If so, I may skip this one.

I was previewing some of next week's workouts...like HiiT right into Butts & Guts into BWW...what the heck, is Cathe trying to kill me??!! I took a few days off work next week so I'm going to make the most of it with my workouts.

I did Detox today and really liked it. Alot of twisting moves and more for the my tight hips which is what I need!

Look for the start of a new July thread tomorrow, or whoever's first to post feel to start FITNESS NOT FACEBOOK: JULY :)

Hey all! I'm back from my hiking trip. I think we hiked approx 30 miles for the week, so that was my workout :) the food was quite good and quite a lot, so I'll be doing a bit of a fat loss thing for the next three weeks. For me that's spinning 3x a week, 1 total UB workout, 1 LB workout, and 1 HC workout. Well at least that's that I'm thinking. We see what that actually turns into because I haven't previewed any DVDs yet.

Today was a interval spin workout, which was fabulous :). I'll be doing 1 interval, 1 strength, and 1 endurance ride this week.

I'll be posting some pics from my trip in my profile in a bit if anyone is interested.
