Try to lose those 10 - 15 pounds.
Get to a Cathe Roadtrip.
Give backpacking a try, again. I haven't had a pack on my back for 21 years (ever since DS was born), but hope to take it up again if he goes to camp this year.

Great thread!

I would like to:

get more muscle definition in ALL areas
lose 15 more lbs
be able to do pushups on my toes with PROPER form
stop having so many "cheat days"
do all the pikes in a Cathe workout

- I want to be able to do fancy jumps with a jumprope.

- I want to go powerwalking/jogging with my x-vest at least twice a week.

- I want to learn how to skate properly - I almost crashed into cars stopping at a four way stop going downhill - I was going relatively fast and got too scared to stop so I went into the grass.

- I want to have 270 workout days 2006.

I want to be able to do power squats w/o crying for my mommy ;P

I want to continue improving my endurance/speed w/ running

To continue chiseling my muscles and looking like a hottie tottie ;)

Ummm, I'm sure there's more. Give me time.

I lied. I meant power lunges. Those bad boys make me say things a mommy shouldn't say.

* Go on a 2 week hiking trip to New Zealand next December

Good thread!

I think in 2006 I'm going to go for trying new things, cause I'm kind of bored with the same old same old. I've included some mental fitness things as well :)

- try a dairy free, meat free diet. This will be tough as I eat alot of eggs and am a Cheese Fiend.
- go for strength gains, especially with my biceps and shoulders.
- take up kayaking again with DH
- learn a new sport/art: snowshoeing, kung fu, something.
- take advantage of the "drop-in" meditation classes at the local wellness center
- learn to RELAX RELAX RELAX, for god's sake woman will you RELAX?!

I'm looking forward to 2006!

Thank you for posting this it has made me think a little.
My goals for 2006...
1.To do an unassisted pull up.
2.Heal my Plantar Fasciatis.
3.Run in an Autumn Marathon.(assuming I succeed in goal #2)
4.I want to increase my focus on strength rather than cardio. (except for my marathon training, of course)
Heather

Not sure yet, but I'm thinking..

Want to do the Mtn. Lakes Challenge in Ashland, Oregon again and beat my time (97 miles in 6 hours, 54 minutes, 7000' of vertical climb).

or

Tinkering with the idea of doing the "Death Ride" in July. I'm scaring myself just thinking about it .

Participate in our bicycling club's local Time Trial series and topping my best time of 37 + minutes for 12 miles.

Be able to hang with the local faster riders for a longer period of time.

Be able to do the "Shasta Jamboree Century" on May 1st. Awesome ride, did 70 miles of it last year.

Jeanette

Oh boy. If I write them down, does that make them real?:p

Run a marathon (I'm training right now)
Be able to do unassisted pull-ups
Match or exceed Cathe's weight for biceps in ME
Eat cleaner (more clean?) in order to lose the layer of fat over the muscle I know I have:)
Do a day-long hike this spring

what 1/2 marathon are you doing in may? i did the cleveland half last yr at the end of may. i might do it again this yr or the flying pigs marathon()half that is)

I'm going to focus on:

1. Cleaning up my diet
2. Taking a spinning class once a week
3. Maintaining current upper body strength and definition
4. Toning up my lower body
5. Having a more positive self image
6. Losing 10 pounds

Although, if I'm successful with #s 1-5, #6 really doesn't matter much to me. It would be a nice bonus, though.
