Good morning ladies!
Hope everyone is planning a greatly productive day. I have a million things on my list to get accomplished so I have to get moving.

Today is KJP or Step Blast (Lizzy, you're going to love it!)

Eating has been really good lately. Pinky you were right, the Zone has gotten much easier. Instead of trying to stick to a menu they plan for breakfast I usually look over the list and grab something quick (cottage cheese, apple, 1/2 pc whole wheat bread w/peanut butter, etc). I want my husband to start it to use him as a guinea pig... he has a great metabolism and eats whatever he wants but has been complaining about gaining little weight lately. I'm curious to make him Zone meals to see the results.

Went shopping yesterday- I'm not sure if I dropped a size or if the clothes I tried on were made big (always a possibility). I'm staying off the scale, though...

Good morning everyone,

I checked out yesterday's post and it looks like everyone's on track, which is great to hear. I envy all of you who have gotten the BB workouts and are making rotations with them. My DVD's are scheduled to arrive today, and I hope my order isn't messed up or defective.

I went back to upper body heavy lifting yesterday and will be doing lower body strength training today. I just got my Troy Lite bar (I got the bar instead of the whole set because I don't want my old plates to go to waste) and while doing barbell rows I forgot that the bar is already 5 lbs. and loaded my usual 50. So I got to move up in weight unintentionally and realize now that I probably should have done it sooner.

Good for you, Brenda!:) It does get easier, doesn't it? After a while you won't even think too much about it. I've been laying off on the starch (rice, pasta, potatoes) for the third week now and after last weekend's slip, I can really see the difference between how my tummy looks with the starch, and without. I still can't give up my slice of whole wheat bread in the morning. I just don't have time to sit down and munch on vegetables.

Hi everyone,

I finished Cardio Kicks last night. this morning did MIS legs, chest, back and will do the rest tonight.

Joy - It is funny that you ask about Charlene. I plan on doing one of her tapes tomorrow morning. It is suppose to be one of two rest days this week but I figure I could do a charlene because she isn't as strenuous as Cathe. I like Charlene, she is chatty but I usually concentrate on the workout itself and not what people are saying. I am looking at doing Low Impact, High Intensity. I haven't done it but it looks likes a good workout. I was lucky because a very nice person has loaned me quite a few of charlene's tapes and I have enjoyed each one. Hope this helps.

What do people think of Rice Krispie treats. I just had one and I didn't think it was too bad of a "treat".

Hi all,
Well, no workout today. I'm rather achy and I'm wondering if stretching can do this to a body. I started adding some different stretching because my hips are so tight. I know I'll be 'off' tomorrow to because my daughter will be home and she doesn't appreciate Cathe at 5 am (can't figure out why not...)

Pinky, all of my DVD's were in the right cases, none were scratched and so far all of the stuff works. I found one peculiar thing. When I load the Step Blast DVD, if I press the top menu choice on my remote, I get the step blast pre-mix menu. The top menu button works on ALL my other Cathe dvd's. I did find another menu button and it takes me to the top menu - I can live with that. 55# for barbell rows!! WOW.

Rhonda, thanks for the info on Charlene. I decided that I will wait to try one of hers as I have some others waiting in the que. Maybe I can trade for one on VF. About Rice Krispie treats. I think I would eat more than one :9 If I remember the recipe, you melt some margarine with some marshmallows and stir in the krispies and press in a greased pan. So, I'd have to say they are carbs + fat yum yum. However, they are fairly light - one recipe makes a big pan, so as far as a treat goes, cubic inch for cubic inch, they seem like a much better choice than cookies, ice cream, cake, or cheese cake.

Lizzy I hope you like Step Blast. It is my favorite of the body blast series.

Lori, did you get to do KPC? How did you like it?

Oh yea, I did KPC!!!! WOW!!!! I loved it. I can not gush enough about this series. I am hooked. I have not looked this forward to working out in forever.

I have never done Charlene. I have done Firms, and I have the Slim Series, but have never tried Charlene. Maybe I will have to some day. Well, I gotta hop in the shower. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Lori, we must be on the same schedule. I finished KPC at the same time but had to run out to do pickup (need to shower now!)

I don't know... am I doing something wrong? KPC is by far my least favorite tape. Is it meant to be cardio & sculpting? I was sweating but I don't feel like I got that intense a cardio workout. I did Body Sculpt lower body when I got done to make up for that unsatisfied feeling (I'll probably be sore tomorrow). I work out in front of a morror to make sure my form is correct so that wasn't the problem. I'd rather do Step Blast or MIC.
Does anyone else feel this way or could it be I just don't like kickboxing? ugh.

Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to do a strong cardio and then upper body.

Rice Krispy treats aren't that bad - sugar, a little fat, but compared to cookies nutritionally they're much better. However, it's almost time to make the peanut butter cookies w/the kiss in the center. That's a day off diet, no holds barred...

Hi everyone,

Today was a scheduled day off so I got to sleep in a little bit which was nice. While I'm glad that I got a day off, I'm anxious for tomorrow and MIS. I can't believe that I missed working out! I would have never said that a few years ago.

And I'll need to seriously crank on MIS (although I know I'm not ready for 55# barbell rows, WOW!!!! I'm impressed) because today was the first of three office holiday luncheons. It was at a nice Italian restaurant so there was plenty of bread, pasta, and some amazing desserts!!!! Definitely not Zone friendly. And because I ate some many more carbs than my body is used to I feel very sluggish and tired right now. ICK!!!! So MIS has to burn some of that off.

Question for you all: what other instructors do you use besides Cathe (if you do use others)? I'm always on the look out for new workouts and instructors to supplement my predominantly Cathe. I like Petra Kolber, Christi Taylor, some of the Firms, some Kathy Smith, Jay Blahnik, Kari Anderson, and Gay Gasper. I've only tried Mindy Mylrea once so far but I think she may get added to this list.

Once again I did not work out again this morning. I do full time in three days so I am just wiped out. Tomorow I am off so step blast is in my schedule. I hope you all have a great night.
