Good Monday everyone...
Not a great weekend nutritionally or working out but still a nice little break.

Looking forward to going heavy weights mixed w/cardio this week
so I'll be doing Upper Body Pym. w/the floor work of MIC.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hi all,
Well a good weekend for me but this morning I woke up feeling like I had been run over by a truck. I decided that the December rotation has this day as a rest day for a reason, even if I did modify yesterday's workout. (this is day #10) I just couldn't face legs & glutes after doing push pull, so I pulled out a different one - Janis' brand new butt and I tried only the pilates section (not my strong suit) Guess it might have been harder than I thought...

I looked back on the weekend thread and hmmm eating is definately a problem...I am also a member of that club!

Sabine, Great on Muscle Endurance. and especially those tri's. The leg presses in ME really get me.

Now I have to confess on ME, PLB, L&G and PP I just cannot keep up the pace on those step ups. I either do 1/2 - 3/4 of cathe's reps or do them all and pause the tape so I can catch up to cathe & crew. If I try to go her pace, I just push off with my floor foot and defeat the purpose of the step ups.

What's everyone up to this week?

Hi everybody. I hope your weekend was not as terrible as mine. Finally got to sample Leaner Legs yesterday afternoon when my son was napping. However he woke up while I was in the middle of it and it was hard concentrating from then on. I waited until everyone else was asleep very late last night to try CTX Upper Body split. Crawled in bed at around 2 a.m. Looking forward to trying out the many CTX cardio workouts before my BB DVD's arrive at the end of the week. Hard to be excited when my motivation is shot.:-( Oh well, this too shall pass...

Have a great and fit week everyone. Again, thank you for this thread. It has been a lot of help.

Hi everyone,

Did the Treadmill workout on Saturday. Sunday was a rest day for me. We went to a concert last night so got home late and couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning. I am planning on doing the step part of BodyMax tonight and then finish up tomorrow. I will still be on schedule this week because there are two rest days so I will just use one and catch up on the second rest day.

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm having a very hectic day so I am so glad that I got my workout in this morning.

Did CardioSculpt from the Firm BSS1 this morning. The workout didn't feel particularly hard and I felt like I got a good workout none the less. Did the step ups with my 12's hoisted on the shoulders which felt great, like it really worked the butt and hams. Also used one of my 12's for the overhead tricep extensions for the first time and felt good with the weight. All these Cathe workouts ae paying off as I'm feeling so much stronger than when I first got my Firm BSS1. I remember when CardioSculpt used to kill me!

Am working on cleaning up the eating a bit. Made a homemade quiche last night which I had with a nice pear. Granted, a quiche is not exactly low fat or low cal, but I figure it's got to be better than a burger and fries. Today I started a split pea soup in the slow cooker and will have the for dinner with a nice green salad. Being that I'm single I'll be having both of these for the better part of the week as I have lots of leftovers.

This week is actually pretty light on Cathe workouts. Here's my plan.

Tuesday- CIA 2K01 with Gay Gasper Hi/Lo
Wednesday- CIA 2K01 with Gay Gasper Step and Kickbox w/ abs.
Thursday- off
Friday- MIS
Saturday- some sort of cardio. Can't decide if I should do a new to me workout like Step Heaven (thanks Joy!), try to master a workout that I've only done once or twice (like Totally Hot Cardio or Still Steppin'), or do an old stand by.
Sunday- either Muscle Endurance or Pump Party from Mindy Mylrea's Extreme Intervals tape which I did yesterday. All I can say about the intervals is 'OH MY GOD!!!!' They were never ending!!!!

Hope things are going well with everyone.

I have totally fallen off the wagon for 4 days now. I am really going to think tonight about my plan. I think I am ghoing to start back doing BFL. I am just so confused, I think I have to be on a certain program at all times. Why can't I eat like healthy person and control my portions???

Hi again everybody,
Well Pinky, I'm sorry you got interupted. That really disturbs me. I get so involved in the workout that its like someone really invading my brain when I have to stop! (what brain? LOL) I hope your motivation returns AFTER you get a good long sleep. LL and CTX upper body in one day at normal hours is a LOT of work.

Hey Rhonda, will you be doing the Step part of body max with or without the intervals? If I remember right, there is about 35" of really fast really high impact/intensity step and then about 10" of intervals. The step alone wipes me out. I think it is Cathe's fastest step. In my younger days (like a year ago;-) ) I would do all of body max in one session...whew, what was I thinking? Forgive me I forget which rotation you are doing, is it July?

Sabine, you sure have a good variety planned for this week. Mindy is really funny - a real hoot.

Hey Lori, have you fallen off the workout wagon, the eating clean wagon or both? I have had eating issues my entire life. I think I may have learned them as a young child. I envy people who eat until they are full and no more. I've had a good spell here for a little while, but oh man, when I am bad....I could confess to the sins of dessert, or italian bread dipped in olive oil, or dessert, or peanut butter on crackers or bread or toast or a spoon, or (did I mention) dessert?

I know the most successful I have been is when I have said to myself that I will try to maintain some control and I will try to eat healthy and I will let my weight become whatever it becomes...Hang in there believe me, you are NOT alone.

See you all tomorrow,
-joy

Checking in - ended up doing Boot Camp followed by a few sets of abs and back. Tomorrow I'm going to do what I had planned for today... I just missed Boot Camp since I hadn't done it in a while.

Lori, don't worry, we ALL fall off. Just think, every meal, every day is a new beginning. I found myself picking at everything this weekend (pizza, chicken wings, Xmas cookies, etc) and I'm not going to let it upset me. Today I was back on track but the day isn't over yet... we're here to support you so don't beat yourself up.

Pinky, that happened to me three times last week which is making me consider switching to a.m. workouts before everone gets up like I've been repeating myself about, I just feel so tired!

Sounds like everyone had a pretty good day. Sabine, who's Mindy and how do her workouts compare to Cathe's?

See everyone tomorrow.

Okay, so I did the step and kickboxing segments of Step & Intervals -- times two. Didn't even bother viewing the workout first. Just got in there, learned the routines then did them again to get my body more familiar with them. Finished off with the arm drills of CTX Kickbox, all in all a 45-minute workout, which is all I need today.

Got a glimpse of myself in the mirror while I was punching my demons away. I have deltoids! And my upper body is no longer skinny. Miracles do happen...

Lori, like Brenda said, tomorrow's a new day. The holidays bring many fitness challenges -- the weather can make it hard to work out, and all those goodies can mess up all your good intentions. Last Saturday I had breaded catfish and french fries. Ended up very tired from all those potatoes. Sunday was hectic, and even though I had no junk, it was impossible to follow my usual 40-30-30. Today has been good fitness-wise, considering how crappy I'm feeling right now. Hang in there. Eventually the "vibes" will come and get you. I'm waiting for them right now.;-)

See you all tomorrow,
Pinky

I am going to study my book, "Eat, Drink and Be Healthy" by Walter Millet tonight. About a month ago I got so sick of dieting, I just read this book and tried to follow his guidelines. I really think i started to slim down witrhout even trying, then I started counting my points again. WHY??? I was excercising GREAT portion control and eating well. So tomorrow I am going to go back to that. I am ghoing to do LB w/ 1/2 cardio, then UB w/ a 1/2 hour cardio, then an all aerobics day, then repeat, every week. At least for this week. I am previewing my Legs and Glutes right now, that is first on my list for tomorrow. I have had my BB DVD's since Friday and have not touched them yet. Is that sad or what?? I just got so discouraged Friday when I was faced with all of this food and I knew there was no way I was going to be able to stay on my points. Well, I am probably 2 lbs. heavier, but tomorrow I am back to a more healthier way of eating. For xcardo, I will probably do one of the premixes of KPC. I was really looking forward to these two the most. talk to you tomorrow.
Lori

Hi Brenda,

Mindy is Mindy Mylrea, another exercise goddess. She is most noted for her interval style workouts, which is what Extreme Intervals is. In this workout there were 3 sections: step intervals with step horizontal, step intervals with step pointed toward the TV, and hi/lo intervals on the floor. The choreography is really basic so there's no real learning curve so you can just jump right in. The intervals just seemed to go on forever!!!!! I'd say that each section had at least 6 intervals in it. Granted, the some of the intervals only lasted for 30-45 seconds (others were longer), but man, the heartrate was just pumping!!!! And I was sweating buckets. I considered this training for Imax 2, which I believe may be a Christmas present from Santa. As far as comparing Mindy and Cathe, I think intensity wise they could be quite similiar. I think the major difference is in level of choreography. And in personality on screen. Mindy is quite chatty (how she can do that while leaping all over the place is beyond me) which annoys some people immensely. In this one video, however, I didn't mind. I like this one so much I'm thinking of investigating her other workouts and buying those in the future.

Hey, Lori, try not to get so down on yourself about your diet. It's only 4 days!!!!! You have the rest of your life to commit to exercise and healthy choices so 4 days isn't going to be the end of you. Just think of those people who have never given any regard to their health or diet. You are so ahead of the game!!!!!

Glad to hear everyone's doing so well.

Hi everyone,

Joy - I did the step part and the power circuit from Body Max which leaves the upper body training for this evening. Yes the July Rotation.

this morning I got up and did Step Max sections 1,2,3. Boy forget what a workout that can be. As I said already, I am planning on doing the upper body workout from Body Max. Then I will be back on track. tomorrow is cardio kicks.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Rhonda
