Fit for Xmas - 12/1

Good morning girls,
I ended up taking an unexpected day off yesterday (we got caught up in getting Christmas decorations down, cleaning up, etc) so I'm going to work on cardio today. Looks like All Step or IMAX2 - I'll see how I feel when I get there.
Hope everything is going well- looking forward to a great week!

Hi Brenda, I'm glad you posted this! I've been on WW maintenance for four weeks now, and am not really surprised I've gained three pounds over the goal I made on October 27, because I've been paying NO attention to my diet for the past couple of weeks. So, today I recommitted to counting points and eating clean! I also did Muscle Endurance, having missed it yesterday because I was feeling sick. I have that cold everyone else has had! However ... today I felt very strong!! I've set a new personal goal, and am back on track with my workouts, and feeling better already! It's amazing how a good, strong solid strength training tape can make me feel energized and alive again!!

Sabine, Lizzy, Joy and others- I just noticed Cathe posted a Body Blast Dec rotation. I can't remember if you all have it or are waiting for the DVDs? It looks like it might be interesting. Let me know if you'd like to give it a try (or substitute videos to match):)

Hi everyone,
Today is my first day starting a WW program. My goal is to lose 10 lbs and firm myself up.(I am 5'7" 140lbs) This is the most I have ever weighed in my life. I am 32 and I feel my metabolism is definetly slowing down so it is time for me to make some changes.
Today I did ctx power circuit and added chest.
I ordered the bb dvd's and I am going to do the rotation Cathe posted.

Can I join in?? I am starting my 4th week on WW's. So far, I have lost 1 lb., but at my weigh-in tomorrow night, I hope the scale rises some more. I am going to work out to The Firm today. I like their LB tapes, and compliment w/ a Cthe UB and you are all set. I will probably do ME Ub. I would like to drop 4 lbs. by Xmas. This weekend was a struggle but I stuck with my points.

Hi Brenda, I wasn't able to sneak in any other workouts Sat. and Sun. I was able to do Pyramids whole body last Friday though. I'm going back to my PS-UB today now that the soreness is gone. I stuck with my Zone-based eating the entire long weekend. NOT easy. :) But the scale hasn't budged so it's good. Maybe...

Good Morning everyone,

I did Step Fit yesterday and it didn't go very well. I was so winded and tired about 2/3 of the way through. Had to stop the tape to take a break and on both the 2nd and 3rd combos I had to just march in place a couple of times before joining in. Needless to say I was disappointed with my effort.:-(

I did print out the December rotation and it looks good. Unfortunately, I ordered the DVD's (and they haven't yet shipped) and Santa will be bringing me the DVD player to play them on. So that looks like it will be my January rotation unless Cathe posts something so fabulous that I will want to do that instead.

I think that I will do the July rotation this month with quite a few substitutions. Today, since I don't have CTX upper body I did all the upper body work from MIS. I also upped the weight almost all exercises and boy, do I feel it now! Overall, a good workout. For the rest of the week it will go something like this:

Tuesday: Christi Taylor Totally Hot Cardio
Wednesday: Leaner Legs
Thursday: CIA Step to Be Fit

Beyond that, I can't recall what should come next. I believe it might be Muscle Endurance and then I'll finish with CIA 2k01 with Gay Gasper.

Will anyone be doing the Body Blast/December rotation? I'm so jealous that some people have already had the workouts for almost a month now:p

Anyone heard from Joy? I'm a little worried about her.

Hi everyone...
I just finished Step Blast and then had enough time to do Supersets before taking a shower. Sabine, I know what you mean- by the time I got to the blast sections of Step Blast I was struggling. I took a little breather and then started again which seemed to help. Ugh.

Nutritionally, not a bad weekend. Trying to stick to the Zone (thanks for everyones help w/my questions, Pinky & Carole!) but the holiday season has definatly started (cookies, leftovers, fruity cocktails, etc)...

I'm up for waiting and doing the Dec Body Blast rotation in January when everyone is on the same track. Should be fun!:) Anyone care to join us??

Thursday - 10*10*10
Friday - Boot Camp

Do whatever workout you feel works for you. We're all kind of doing our own workout variations, but will post for moral support!
 
Since I don't have the BB series yet, I will do the December rotation starting in January. I will just stick with the CTX until then. Of course, if I get my BB I will be doing some sampling, but I won't start an actual "rotation" until January.
Does anyone have any trouble sticking with a rotation? I start off good and then it fall's apart on me. Hopefully checking in with you ladies will keep me focused.

For me it depends on the rotation. If there's a good amount of variety and I can substitute pretty easily some of my favorites from other instructors I can stick with a rotation no problem. But I doubt I could do 4 weeks of all CTX, or even the 4 weeks of the new Body Blast (I'll join you at least for a couple of weeks in January). For one thing, I can burn out on Cathe if I do just her and no other instructor. And another thing is that with Cathe's intensity my bad knees can't take the impact day in and day out. Often times I take the ideas in Cathe's rotations and substitute with something else. For example, if her posted rotation calls for a step tape, I may substitute with a step tape from someone else or switch it to hi/lo or kickboxing, as long as it's cardio. Same for strength and circuit style workouts.

I think I'm babbling now. A check in does help, not so much with sticking to the rotation, but with making the commitment to do something:) .

Can I join in too? I have been neglecting weights lately and maybe if I had to check in then I'd get motivated.:p Today starts my 5K training and I put in 2 miles in the morning and did CST before dinner. Yesterday was Imax 2 intervals 1-5 then 9-10.
 
Good Morning everyone. Today is my weigh-in!!!! I am excited, I truly like to go to WW's. I am going to do Imax Extreme today, skipping the weight parts. I hate to say this, but I am really getting into my new Firms. I have 3 more on the way. Yesterday I did 45 min. Body Sculpt, and then did ME Ub, plus abs. I am totally sore today. Those tall box climbs are a killer. I had a ton of them a few years ago, and sold them all on Ebay. Right now I am having fun mixing them w/ Cathe's. Together, I think they compliment each other well. All of their cardio's are easier than Cathe, and shorter, so I will do a cardio, and then tack on a CTX cardio, and it is fun. I am also not the best w/ rotations. I get bored and off track, but come Jan. I might try Dec.'s rotation with you. I will do a couple of the Body Blast's when I get them, but right now I am enjoying doing what I am doing. I am most looking forward to SJP and KPC. Talk to everyone later.

Hi everyone,

New to this check-in but would like to join. I need help mainly with my eating. I had given some serious thought to buying the WW home version but never did. Anyone have this version and does it work good. I know it takes willpower from you but was wondering if it was worth the $$.

Sabine - I am also doing the July (fat blaster/strength) rotation. So far I have all the videos for this week so I am on track. I did CTX Upper yesterday and Imax this morning. I think this evening I will plan on doing a short walk and get a good stretch in.

Whqt is the WW home plan? I also need to start taking my eating habits more seriously. So I was just curious if there was a new WW system out there.

Yes. there is a new WW System out there!!! It is Flex Points and it is awesome. The WW's at home kit is well worth it. I do still go to the meetings, they help me stay on track better.

I know you already answered this question, but for 59.00 for the first 3 months and 15.00 for every additional month seems a bit costly. Is the online plan that great and does it keep you motivated? It sounds interesting and the way my weight has been drifting upwards lately I am searching for a way to keep me in check with myself.
I tried the zone and briefly Atkins, but way too structured for me.

I tried online last year, and it was really hard for me. I am much more of a reader, a visual person, and to have to keep coming to the computer was really hard for me. If you get the At-Home version, you get al of the books, the calculator, a ton of stuff, and it has workrd for me. Some people like the online version and would have it no way else, it just depends on what works best for you. You get a ton of "computer tools" with the online version, and the At-Home version, you get "visual tools."
