First Time Posting

Just want to add that this one is great roller! I have it too! :)
Yay!!!! i just bought the LMR Pilates dvd this morning! I have the LMR Barre and Yoga still wrapped. Going to try one or both this weekend!

After looking at the list FitSaxe posted, I noticed that Push/Pull is her only Total Body that is 45 minutes. That’s a sweet spot for me because I usually only have an hour during the week due to my current work schedule. So, lucky me that was my first ever Cathe strength workout!! Haha This time period gives me a chance to add on something else to my workout (which over the last few days has been the Restorative Yoga bonus-love it!!). Does anyone know if there are any total body premixes that come in under 45 minutes? Sorry to keep pestering with questions!

I’m off to look at clips for the new LMR series!! Omg- she is SO addicting!!!!!

The new LMR2 hasn't been produced yet; she's still filming the bonus "while you wait" heavy weight workouts.
Ah, gotcha! That explains why I couldn't find it! Thanks for letting me know!

Ok, thank you on the recommendations! I still have to explore the workout blender. Will try to check it out this weekend. I wish the weekend was 3 days long!! So much to do and so little time!!

Oh boy, if you have the blender, you are in for some fun times for sure. You can blend
as many shorter TB workouts as you want, from any & all her workouts that are in the
blender. If you have any questions about the blender, post here, & I will try to help.
Oh, I haven't looked yet. Is that a paid service? Sounds like it might be worth the money. Still haven't checked yet but will. Thank you for your kind offer regarding potential questions!

Ok, guys...I totally lied. I received Travel Fit and the bands today so I just finished that workout! I am sitting here writing this message dripping in sweat. HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH DID MY MUSCLES BURN SO MUCH WITH A BAND WORKOUT!!!! Seriously. I have done band workouts before but never like this! What I have learned with Cathe is she is legit! No shortcuts and very thorough. I'm like she wouldn't dare do this after doing that. Wrong! She absolutely is going to do this after doing that!! No mercy with this one!!! hahaha That first bow and arrow where she is like now rest....Ha- just kidding back up again- did not leave me smiling!!! I was like, Ok, lady...so it's gonna be like that is it!! lol Her cueing and form pointers are the best I have experienced with a video instructor!! Very impressive. I love how she is all happy and chippy and then sweetly asks if we can feel it yet. I actually answered her and screamed at my tv with a "YES, CATHE. I CAN FREAKING FEEL IT"!!!! She crammed so much in this workout! Although, I did have to laugh that, apparently, her version of "low impact" is the same at The Firm!! Bwahahaha Not too bad though and easy to modify. This is another keeper!!! I'm 2 for 2!!!! Woohooo!!!!!!!:D

PHA is a type of TB workout where you alternate an UB exercise to a LB exercise. They have a definite cardio effect. There are currently 3 dvds: Step Boss' PHA3; LITE's PHA2. & the original Strong& Sweaty's PHA. There are also some in the Cathe Lives (streaming ~$10/month, but included with On- Demand, and often there are coupons/discounts).

Thank you for that information on PHA workouts!!

Regarding the on demand- I tried that with both Jessica Smith and Ellen Barrett. I just don’t like streaming. I don’t like having to navigate through everything. I don’t like all the choices on the screen. I just like popping in a dvd and being done!! Haha

Which one is PHA please? Thanks!
PHA (with no # after it) is part of the Strong and Sweaty series. Before buying individual workouts from a series, you'll want to check out all of the workouts in the series, because it's cheaper to buy the whole set (if you're going to buy them all eventually) than to buy the separate DVDs.

In response for your question regarding less lengthy workouts... Supersets (probably on your Push/Pull DVD) is 55 min, Supercuts (from X-train series) is 45, Flextrain is 50, Power Hour 55, Boss Bands 60 (includes abs if I remember right), Muscle Max's premix timesaver (removes duplicate sets) is 55, and Pyramid Pump (from LITE series- the bonuses from the rest of the set on one DVD make a nice T.B. workout) with pyramid up and pyramid down premixes (both are 3 sets, rather than the 5) being 50 minutes or 1 set of everything being 25 minutes. Some of the ones I've mentioned (ex. Flextrain) are fairly metabolic, so you'll want to look at Cathe's descriptions and video clips or check out reviews on 2 Lazy 4 the Gym to get an idea of what the workouts are all about. T.B. Barbell is around 50 min. Oh, Body Weights and Bands (from LITE series) is just under 45 min. Others have all mentioned the 3 PHA workouts, and I agree that they are excellent. Don't let the length (around 45 min. each fool you) - they are shorter, because there's not much rest time in between, because it's not needed when you go back and forth from upper body to lower body - you're working a different body part during your "rest time". lol

Cathe's workouts are well chaptered, so don't let the length of a workout keep you from trying it. Take a peek see at the menu/chapters/list of exercises and push "skip" on your DVD player to skip duplicate exercises (IF there isn't already a timesaver premix that does that for you). I have restricted time for working out and frequently have to do that. You may also find that you enjoy splits with Cathe. I was always a total body type of gal, but X-Train and the Gym Style series opened my workout style a bit. I still do T.B. most of the time, but about once a month... I'll change things up, because Cathe's workouts are so well designed that I want the benefits from all of them. lol

I have to add that I laughed at your description of Cathe with the bow and arrow "rest". lol She's ornery! I'm constantly "talking" to her and sounding like I'm crazy - my son laughs at me. lol You should have heard some of the things that came out of my mouth (and worse... my thoughts that I couldn't say outloud with my son there lol) when I did Turbo Barre! I was still muttering and mumbling 3 days later, because I had DOMs so bad I couldn't sit on the toilet properly. lol

I believe this was answered, but the workout blender is for those that pay for Cathe on Demand. I, like you, prefer DVDs. I never got into the streaming thing, so I don't have access to the blender.

Thank you, Braille! That’s really great information!! Thanks for taking the time to share all of that! I’m so glad I am not the only one that talks back to Cathe! Haha In fact, I just got Turbo Barre delivered! After reading your post, I think I’ll wait a bit before doing that one!!!:D I hope I can use a chair or my portable barre (which I put in basement because it was taking up too much space). I didn’t see the Fit Tower offered on her website. It said Out of Stock. I did go through a “barre phase” with Barre 3, Bar Method, P57, BarreAmped, Booty Barre, and other offshoots. I haven’t touched those DVDs in months (years??). But, I saw Cathe had barre DVDs and had to buy them because….of course I did. Smh My husband is now like “You got ANOTHER package from that Cathe”. I’m going to have to start intercepting them because he’s starting to get suspicious!! Hehe I’m so glad that I FINALLY tried Cathe!! I never, ever thought I would be able to do her workouts. I was just so intimidated. I still think that way for her cardio but I can, shockingly, hang with some of her strength workouts! I am sure I am not alone for being afraid to try Cathe. She was sort of marketed for the most hardcore type of exerciser- the 1%. So, I never even considered her but I’m glad I did. I was missing out!!

You are hilarious:D:D
By the time you complete almost the entire collection, you will write a book full of comment on Cathe's quotes.

You may as well look at this thread talking about Cathe quotes;)
These are just few of them.

So what is your plan, what is your goal/desire:D. Starting from Total weight lifting program or just randomly working out depending on your mood?

Well? Inquiring minds want to know... have you had a chance to do any of the new Cathe workouts yet? Or, have you been screening them on your DVD player in fascination... your mind exploding with ideas of all the different ways you can use them? lol We need an update on your Cathe journey. :) I hope you feel that same sense of pride and accomplishment with every Cathe workout that you felt with that first one. I still get that feeling, even if it's an "old" workout whenever I realize I'm "digging a little deeper" (upping my weights, going down further in a squat, mastered a difficult (for me) step move...). I hope you are loving every minute of it (except burpees - I don't love burpees lol). To those of you that love burpees... you are fierce, and you rock! (I'm a burpee wimp lol). Oh! I hope you are discovering new powerful moves. I remember the first time I did a move (I think it was "kick butt" or something), and I felt powerful. I'm not even close to back to that level with my fitness yet, but I'm looking forward to being able to do all of Cathe again someday, and enjoying the full variety (and benefits) that come with her workouts. Hope you are loving it! :)

I'll join you as a fellow burpee wimp! :D The fast down and up movement of burpees makes me dizzy. I usually have to modify by only coming up to a squat rather than fully standing.

You're a better burpee wimp than I am. I don't bother coming back up - I just drop and do push-ups, which isn't even close to a legitimate modification. lol

Hello, all! I am pretty new to Cathe and have steadily been collecting dvds this year. I have always been so intimidated to try her workouts so they just sat on my shelf. Well, yesterday I bit the bullet and unwrapped Push/Pull because I read (while lurking on forums) that people think that is her easiest workout. Well, not only was I able to do the workout but I matched Cathe’s weights (except for one exercise because I don’t have a 25 pound dumbbell only up to 20 pounds)!! I know this is her easiest workout but I was SO FREAKING proud of myself! This 51 year old woman was jumping around like a toddler on Xmas morning!! I ran out to my husband and told him and honestly- I was on cloud nine!!! I felt so powerful afterwards like I was Super Woman!! Haha

Cathe is AMAZING!!!! I can’t believe I am only discovering her at this point in my fitness journey!! I love everything about her!! I love seeing such strong, powerful women! I loved her cute personality! I loved her timely pointers. She’s pretty dang awesome!!! I splurged during the Labor Day sale so I have more workouts coming (and that cool round mat)! Thanks so much for listening to this Cathe newbie babble on! I was nervous to post but after lurking here for awhile feel this is a very supportive community. Do you all remember your first Cathe workout where you finished it feeling so proud of yourself?
Welcome! I'm so glad you did the workout & you were so pleasantly surprised! It's such a great feeling when we are able to go beyond what we THINK we can do! Cathe is my absolute favorite of all the workouts I have. I was intimidated by the heavier weight workouts & Tabata, but discovered I actually CAN do them & find it easy to modify her harder workouts on days I need to. Keep working out to her amazing routines & "Cathe on!"
