Finding it hard to use my other DVD's...

I may just donate them to the local thrift shop where the procedes from sales go to the handicapped.

I know having a good variety is great and all, but I am hooked on Cathe's videos so much so to the point where I find myself not being able to use my DVD's from other instructors, because she's just that good at what she does!

I have been the same for years--haven't done a non-Cathe workout in I can't remember how long! But, alas, after all these years of Cathe's high impact I'm feeling it in my knees and back and am now having to mix in a few of my other non-Cathe's that are a little less high-impact. ;( And I'm not happy about it...

Jerry, I am inclined to agree. In fact, lately I've been thinking of thinning out my OTHER collection...you know which one! I've since gone hog wild with Cathe's videos ;-)

Jerry, I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm so hooked on Cathe that I'm afraid I won't like anyone else like I like Cathe's work outs.

I'm just looking for something a little easier on days that I don't have the energy for Cathe.

I do a Firm dvd or yoga with Bryan Kest on my not-so-energetic days. I would have gotten rid of my Firms a long time ago, but they are still such great workouts (the older ones anyway), and perfect middle ground for me.

Right there with you Jerry. The only other instructors I use are for yoga. I wish Cathe would bring out a hi/lo floor workout though. I have been looking to get one of these workouts from another instructor but I just don't want to waste my money in case I don't love them as much as I love Cathe.

Hi Kim,
Do you have Maximum Intensity Cardio or Step, Jump and Pump? Both of those have awesome hi/lo floor workouts-especially MIC. One of the best, most fun hi/lo workouts I've found.

I tend to agree. The only plug I'll put in for using other instructors once in awhile, is when you go back to Cathe, you love her that much more, and the workouts kick your butt all over again. There is something to be said for adaptation. I have done IMAX 2 so many times that I don't think it is too hard any more (but very fun!). However, I did IMAX 1 today after doing only one other time this YEAR and it totally kicked my butt, and it was like a new workout since I couldn't anticipate the choreography!

Hi Allison,

My knees are also feeling the painx(! The past 6 months have been brutal and I think I will be working in some other lower impact dvds, too. I don't want take it too easy though ;) Please share any that you think are worth while...

Thanks alot,
Trish

Hi Allison

Thanks for the info. I have only just go SJP so I will check out the hi/lo premix on that. I don't have MIC but have often debated about whether to get it or not. I have read such good things about it. I will check that one out too. Thanks

Kim :)

I was ready to get rid of some of my older videos until I ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks with sudden double pneumonia. I remember using my 4" step, very slowly with 5# weights and using my oxygen. I was glad I had some of my older videos to fgall back on and that I hadn't gotten rid of them. I had to start back at the beginning and gradually work up until I was strong enough up to go back to my later videos.
