i woke up this morning at 5:45 to do 30 min of sprinting. it felt so good this morning knowing that the majority of people are hung over and i'm not since i don't drink. just had to share:D

DH and I said the same thing this morning, too. I haven't decided what to do for a workout yet, but I'm ready for 2008 - going to go buy a new journal for the year (one of my resolutions is to journal my thoughts instead of eat them), clean out drawers and cupboards, workout and get ready for our vacation in Mexico. Can't wait!

WELCOME 2008!!

Marcia.

It does feel good! I "slept in" until 6 am, and just finished a two hour workout. And doesn't it even feel better knowing you're all done? :p

Good job! I must admit I slept in today, but it was very well-deserved. I live a hectic life with work, kids, and a career-transition, and etc etc - not to mention the holidays! I probably won't get to working out until after we put away our decorations - like 6 pm!!

BUT, back to my 4:45 am schedule tomorrow...

I got up at 10! :) But, I wasn't hung over, just tired. I've been cleaning and puttering around the house, and now I'm about to do Muscle Max. ...and put my very first sticker on my brand new Cathe calendar!! Am I a dork or what?! :7

Good for you! I didn't drink a drop, but slept in till 11:00 because I could. :p I love having the whole day...I mean afternoon...to work out too!! :D

I didn't drink a drop but still had a hang over!!! It was either the lightly salted nuts or the homemade banana bread (simple carbs in the form of bananas and applesauce). The lowfat egg nog toast (non alcohol) is most likely the culprit. Likely a combo of the 3 had me feeling like I had been at a bar instead of home with the kids.

Nothing 32 ounces of water couldn't wsh away in minutes.

HOWEVER, as I did my sprint workout...I was thinking the same thing!!! How great it was to not be hung over and not have the resolution to FINALLY get in shape.

This was my Blow Off day but I'm back to working out tomorrow and back to work (12-hour days again!) Thursday. So good to just decompress before the craziness starts again.

I was not hung over yesterday and I DO drink. I enjoyed some chocolate martinis New Year's Eve and went for a run yesterday morning too.

In fact, I drank saturday and sunday too and was not hung over once.

Just because a person likes to inhdulge in a few drinks now and then does not mean that they will automatically over do it and be rendered useless the next day.

Even if you DO over-do it while celebrating on occasion, who cares!?

It's what we do MOST of the time that matters. :)

JMHO ofcourse.

your absolutely right fit mom. i did not mean to offend anyone who drinks. i was just simply stating how great i felt on new years morning.

I also felt good waking up on New Year's Day having no hangover. It's not because I don't drink, it's because I spent the night at home so I could avoid the obligatory kiss at midnight.

Ya know, I'm not one to react like that and I am sorry for that although I DO believe in what I posted. Thank you for understanding. I was not trying to be nasty. I guess your post came off wrong to me. It's all good though. :)
