feeling shy about the road trip

Hi Susan! We'll definitely connect w/each other in the banquet hall for dinner. I'll have to place my screen name on my blouse so you'll know its me LOL I don't know anyone either b/c I hardly ever post anymore. I do know, however, DebbieH, Francine & KathyS due to being on these forums for soooo many years. Don't feel shy. I can't wait to meet you sweetie!! Kathy:D

I am coming alone too, and I am looking forward to meeting all of you, we definately have things in common, we all love to workout and love Cathe, there are a lot of things we can talk about, you are definately not alone. We are all girls, we like shopping, eating healty, dancing etc...
 
Don't feel shy. :) No worries...most of us are all meeting each other for the first time. :D It's going to be a blast...you'll see!

Dani, Emily and I are leading impromptu step classes in the O'Hare terminal while we wait to board the plane. And we will pass out resistance bands to all passengers to follow along with Stretch Max in the aisle of the plane. :)

Yep, I took Imax 3 out after 5 minutes my first try, but by the third time I was having sooo much fun. I'm not a quitter and made myself learn it and soo glad I did. (Hmmm, maybe I need to dig out Step Blast) I still end up on the wrong side sometimes or have my back facing Cathe when I should be LOOKING at her! I think it's going to be an absolute HOOT! Hope you'll be able to fit in a class while you are there. If you are choreo-challenged stand next to me so I don't feel alone. ;-)

Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you! You have all made me feel so much better now. I tell ya when you get older and have kids it is harder to do that whole socializing thing again. I have gotten so used to interacting with moms and kids that I think I kind of forgot how to just be me on my own without my kids and husband. but, I really am excited and i can't wait to meet all of you lovely ladies.

Susan, Don't feel insecure at all! Only a few of us have ever truly "met" each other in person, so we are all "virtual" strangers to one another. (Hee hee, get it...virtual as in practically AND virtual as in cyberspace...oh never mind!) :)

But seriously, I think ALL of us are worried about not fitting in with the others. A few of us have even been worrying in our SLEEP, and having bad dreams about the trip. In my dream I was told I was only on the Standby list, wasn't allowed to be there and to GO HOME! Someone else (Luna?) dreamt that no one wanted to talk to her.

So you are a part of this this large group of women (and men) who project confidence but hide insecurities, sometimes even from ourselves. I'm worried everyone will notice that the skin over my lip is dark....ooops now everyone WILL notice :p

I think SOME people (who shall remain nameless) are even threatening their room-mates with violence to scare them into being nice. Wooden spoons and blood stains...you big bullies! ;)

So all I'm saying is Look forward to this little vacation if for nothing else than for getting to meet Cathe....and getting FREE PIZZA!!! :)

Really, none of us REALLY know each other, even though you feel like you do from talking to them on the forums!!

I almost canceled before the 15th because I just didn't feel like I knew anyone. DH convinced me that by the sounds of these posts (He had to check everything out for me!) this is going to be one big fun party. He now has me on a mission to get pictures of me with Cathe & crew, he thinks Jai is beautiful, and my 4 yr old wants a picture of mom with Cedie. So see, I now have work to do in NJ so I MUST go :7

Just by Cathe, Debbie, Lorrayne and Kathy's posts, I really think we'll all be laughing our butts off by Friday evening.

So Susan, as you can see, I think a lot of us have the jitters a bit. I'm right with you!
