I had posted awhile back about gaining wt like within a few weeks. I just cant budge the wt. I feel and look more bloated thru my stomach and my thighs and butt feel so heavy when I run. I dont feel good when I am doing activities like I use to. I want running to feel good again, I feel like I am running thru mud. please help me. Iturned 39 august and dont know if age is part of it or what. I fell disgusting and fat.

It's OK, try to follow this for a few weeks and see what happens. You will lose weight, there is no doubt in my mind.

Good Luck, Hey, if it is any consolation to you, I'm going through the same thing. Just take a little more aggressive action.

This is a Metabolic Training:

From what I understand, you do a full body workout, example only:

1. Stability ball push up to jackknife 10-15 reps
2. Split Squat to low cable row 10-15 reps each side
3. Dumbell front squat to press 10-15 reps
4. Deadlift 5 times, walk 10 yards turn a round and repeat 4 times without stopping.
5. 10 push ups
10 cross body mountain climbers
10 burpees
10 jump squats
10 recline rows

Rest 30-45 seconds between each exercise, perform these one right after the other. Rest 90-120 seconds after the fifth movements and repeat for 4 circuits. This will be done 3 times a week.

I will add a High Intensity Anaerobic Interval Training in-between these workouts. Then I will have a rest day and start over again.

Don't give up whatever you do. I think you should change up your routine and do something completely different for a while. I don't know what your eating habits are but I had that same problem and realized I was consuming way too many salty snacks in the afternoon, like pretzels and popcorn. I started lifting heavier in addition to my usual cycling addiction.

Where did this workout come from?

Tis the season!

Yes, I am frustrated too. I've been pretty good at eating (up until last few days) and working out like crazy and I gained weight. Was a real downer. But, earlier this month I thought I was doing pretty good so I kept telling myself "dont listen to that little voice in your head" that tells you you still look fat! Because every day when you work out, you feel better and you look better. I always feel mentally better after working out, so keep it up.

We're all in the same boat.. However, the post about the salty stuff may be the key - soy sauce, etc. makes you retain the weight. ALso try to eat more veggies, healthier carbs, oatmeal, etc.

Good luck and Have a Merry Christmas. I'm taking the day off from exercising. Tomorrow we can hit the gym again!!!:D
