Favourite lines from TV or movie

OMG, I almost forgot my all time favorite:

"I got Abby Normal's brain, just like you asked"--Igor in Young Frankenstein

My favorite is from Casablanca -- is this movie loaded with one-liners or what!?

Captain Renault: "What in heaven's name brought you to Casablanca?"

Rick: "My health. I came to Casablanca for the waters."

Captain Renault: "The waters? What waters? We're in the desert!"

Rick: "I was misinformed."

My family quotes Napoleon Dynamite almost everyday. I hear "eat, Tina, eat" every night at the dinner table and "but my lips hurt real bad" a few times a week.

We also seem to quote a lot from A Series of Unfortunate Events, such as, "soda, soda, banana" and "Bourdelare orphans to the courtesy desk" and "I'll just go get my milking gear, those tiny little utters are hard to locate.", when asked to help milk the snake.

And our newest-can't stop quoting-line is from the Simpson's when Flanders is skiing in a unitard and Homer has a flash back of Flanders coming down the slope saying "feels like I'm wearing nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all" and Homer says "STUPID SEXY FLANDER!"

My daughter has a unique talent for remembering lines from movies, word for word. She's always cracking me up.

"...no way you could ever forgive me, not with this Sicilian thing that's been going on for 2,000 years!"- The Godfather II

"You can't really dust for vomit" This is Spinal Tap

"Oh please, please change your name to O.J.!" Seinfeld (spoken by Elaine, trying to convince her boyfriend, who has the same name as a known serial killer, to change his name to a sports figure's.)

"How often do you get to see teenagers speak iambic pentameter and kill themselves?" Gilmore Girls (Lorelei singing the praises of watching the high school production of "Romeo & Juliet")

"We, none of us, want to be in calm waters all our life." Persuasion

What a fun thread to read!

From O Brother (I love that movie):

"I don't want FOP god d***it! I'm a Dapper Dan man!" (Everett)

"D*mn, we're in a tight spot!" (Everett... again and again..)

Robert DeNiro, to Charles Grodin, in "Midnight Run":

"Yeah, I got two words for you - "Shut the f--k up!"

Susan L.G.

"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." Clark Gable in Gone With The Wind. My all time favorite line and favorite movie!

"If you build it, they will come". Field Of Dreams. I know everyone has heard these both a zillion times, but they are still good.

Edit: This isn't really a line, but I still laugh when I hear Phoebe from Friends sing, "Smelly Cat". "Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you? Smelly cat, smelly cat, its not your fault!":7

Shelley - That Princess Bride line is one of my faves...I say it all the time.

Steel Magnolias - "What's wrong with you these days? Have you got a reindeer up your butt?"

"Snot face, wake up!" and "I LOOOOVE those breaking noises!"
~Drop Dead Fred

Don't ask me why but I LOVE that movie!!!!:p :p :p

How could I forget "M-M-Mrs. Mulch?" from Wallace and Grommit-Curse of the Warerabbit. Anytime there's an earth shattering belch in this family, it gets the "Mrs. Mulch?" response.

"In time you'll drop dead and I'll come to your funeral in a red dress" (Moonstruck)

"Not only is she merely dead, she's really most sincerely dead" (Munchkin coroner reading the Wicked Witch's death certificate in Wizard of Oz)

Lisa

>"Why is the rum always gone?" Johnny Depp as Captain Jack
>Sparrow

Yikes! Here I go breaking my own rule of top 5 but there were TONS from Pirates that I’d been thinking about too. Par exemple:

Elizabeth (dressed as stowaway sailor): I’m here to find the man I love.
Jack: I’m flattered, son, but my first and only love is the sea. (then he signals Mr. Gibbs to throw her overboard :7 )

Davy Jones (in that perfectly sinister Scottish lilt):
“Do you fear death?”
“What is your purpose here?”

“You have an air of destiny about you.” – Tia Dalma

I won’t even start on my favourites from Seinfeld. *starting anyway* :p:

“Do you ever just get down on your knees and thank God you have access to me and my dementia” – George

“I’m rife with fleas” – Newman

I am Arthur, King of the Britons. Monty Python's Holy Grail

Why is the Rum always gone? (do you have to ask?)

Somehow telling you "I told you so" just doesn't cover it. Will Smith from I,Robot

We're on a mission from God. Elwood and "Joliet" Jake Blues

Oh, Dave, that reminds me. I love when Will Smith says "The difference between you and me is I make this look GOOD" in Men In Black, referring to the black suit.
