Fave musical - Cats, but also loved Phantom
Fave song from a musical - same as Shelley - Memory from Cats... it's one of my favorite songs to play on piano :)

I took my kids to see Swan Lake when they were about 3 and 6. My DS, when asked what he thought, said,"It was OK, but there was too much dancing." DD, the 3 year old, said, "I liked it when their shoes squeaked." Some much for a cultural education.

NY25 - I was lucky enough to see Yul Brynner perform in The King and I live on stage in London's West End. He was absolutely amazing. For such a small man, he had incredible presence.:)

Allwildgirl - I'm jealous!! I have to leave with the video tape of the movie. I love his red outfit. Even as a youth, I knew hot when I saw it!! That man was toooo sexy (except for the smoking part).

Good grief! I'd completely forgotten to add 'Master of the House' and 'Do You Hear the People Sing' from Les Miserables. My mom saw that at Queen's Theatre in London last year. What a thrill it was for her!! I'm not at all verse on European history so I was surprised to find out in uni that the little waif girl was the model for the Statue of Liberty. Cool!

Faves:
Circle of Life from Lion King
All That Jazz from Chicago

Least Faves:
Memories from Cats
Anything from Hair :p

I always sang Broadway songs when I competed in pageants. I took voice music theatre in college and sang these (among others). I loved that class as it really taught me how to breath from my diaphram and project as a singer.

"Torromow" from Annie
"What I Did For Love" and "Nothing" from A Chorus Line
"And All That Jazz" from Chicago
"Is It Really Me? from Oliver
"Are You Having Any Fun" I can't remember the show??
