Favourite Broadway Musicals/Songs

I absolutely love Broadway musicals. My DH and I will take trips to NYC just to go see shows I have a hard time picking favs though. I first show I ever saw was in San Francisco and it was Phantom almost 8 years ago. I've seen it about 7 times now. Other ones that are my faves are:

Wicked (seen it 4 times)
Mary Poppins
Aida (seen it 5 times)
Les Mis (seen it 6 times)
Mama Mia (I saw this for the first time in London, seen it 5 times now.

All the songs are great

Also liked: Les Mis, Wicked, Phantom...

Don't like: Music Man (too corny!!!)
Lion King (just wasn't impressed)

I've seen only one Broadway musical and that was "La Cage Aux Folles' back in the 80s. Nothing stands out...I prefered the French film it was based on.

I guess the only Broadway musical I really liked was "Jesus Christ Superstar." Don't know much about the Broadway production, but, when I was a kid, I loved the album version with Ian Gillian from Deep Purple as Jesus. Judas had the best songs, though..."Heaven on Their Minds," as well as "Jesus Christ Superstar" are probably my favorites.

Edited to add that I just remembered...I absolutely love "Somewhere" from West Side Story!!!
