Favorite Instructors Besides Cathe?

Great. Thanks Amy. Perhaps I need to just try it out and see if my hip can handle it!

Elsie, I have all Jessica's Smith dvd's and love them. Maybe Jessica having a 4th of July sale too? Also check out Amazon.com she runs specials on her dvd's :) You can make her workouts as hard as you want or as easy you want :) On youtube she offers FREE workouts, maybe you want to see if you like her fist :)

Belinda, : ) oh, *fingers crossed* that she'll have a sale. I do enjoy her youtube channel. A lot of the workouts are fairly short for me and I use them as add-ons usually. She is one of the instructors that I find myself forgetting about for some reason, but I always really enjoy what she does and feel great after her workout. I quite like how she incorporates rotational work.

Elsie, Jessica's ‪#‎SummerofStrength‬ Challenge begins 7/6 :) Here you sign up for her challenge and email updates. How long do you work out? I don't find her workouts to short. If the workout is 30 min, I usually go for a 30 min walk.

I've never bought any of her DVDs but I do like her workouts on her website. I often use them for a quieter day but I usually find them tougher than they look. I really like her personality (and the dog!).

Who are some good instructors with with decent choreography and intensity besides Cathe? I also like Christi Taylor, but know there must be some other good instructors out there that I am missing.

I like Tracie Long because she has some innovative moves, cues so well, and possesses a jaw-dropping figure designed to inspire people towards fitness. I love her no-nonsense but warm engagement with her audience. Her form is off-the-charts flawless, too...

Jenny Ford is just an adorable step aerobics instructor who also cues well, has some good music to work out to, and makes step easy-to-learn. You have to love someone who is pretty young (40-ish?), yet chose the now-unusual path of becoming a step aerobics (group teaching) instructor. Teaching step is not easy, and an instructor without certification won't typically suffice, but most gyms have gotten away from offering step classes. Other than perhaps with Zumba, gyms no longer see much profit from step, so they don't offer it. (I think that's a shame.) Jenny also stands out for making her workouts free on YouTube in HD format, while also having them in an inexpensive downloadable version from her own website. I really admire that she's willing to put her very hard work out there for free, then trust that if people like her stuff enough, they'll buy it. She obviously has a big heart, and wants to see people get started in fitness on the right foot. I find that attitude admirable and wonderful.

I will always have a soft spot for my favorite trainers from The FIRM, Susan Harris and Jen Carmen. Both are so inspiring, energetic, and really "get" what you're feeling in the moment of exercising. You know, those tough points where you're ready to give up, that's where they always know to say an encouraging word. Since they're doing the work right along with you, it makes you grit your teeth and bear it!

Oh, Ronne ....isn't peanut just cute as a button? :D I really like her personality and that she seems to find difficult what I, too, am finding difficult. She's in great shape.
Belinda, I usually like my workouts be at least 55 mins. I don't quite feel worked out if they're not. All of these 20 min ones do nothing for me, unless I suppose it is a real challenging tabata and I can only honestly do those no more than 2-3 times per week. Thanks so, so much for the reminder of her challenge. Don't you love when folks put on challenges? I do.
