Hi Cathe I would love some pointers to which strength programme would be best for me .
I will fill you in on my sitution and try not to ramble , I'm a 41 yr young gal from the uk who's weight has crept on over the last 10 years and my weight is now 290 lbs
Three years ago I was diagnosed as being hypothyroid and high bp both of which are now controlled by meds but my symptoms didn't improve .In May after much more prodding and poking I was diagnosed with Autoimmune liver disease and the treatment is quite high dose steroids to start continuing for 2 years at a reduced level until I go into remission. Back in Feb I started going to the gym before I got the diagnosis confirmed to help with my symptoms and that has been a great help but now I need to get serious .
I have upped my cardio to every day to stave off the steroids , I do a mix of eliptical and swimming at the gym and kettlebell at home but I feel I need direction with the strength part and as the steriods rob you of muscle mass and bone minerals I want to do more . Doing a full STS rotation is a goal for the future but for now I have downloaded STS total body and High reps and was wondering what would be the best way to work them into my week ? they both looked great I couldnt choose so downloaded both
oooooo those instant downloads !!! I can see they are going to be bad for the bank balance especially when the low impact stuff comes out
So that is me , sorry to ramble on any help and tips would be greatfully received
Thank you in advance
Jo
