Fat right above the knee cap...Is there help??

Hi,
I have heavy knees, meaning right above the knee theres a chunk of fat
anyone have this and if so were you able to get rid of it or at least reduce the appearance of it?
I have had it all my life but it has gotten worse with age.. maybe the weight increase, it has gone down some but it's hereditary?
Please advise, it just makes my legs appear less shapely.:-(

My leg routine consists of squats,lunges,deadlifts all the cathe &
I've started to jump rope to help further improve my legs.
Do you have the bun & thigh rocker, would this really help?
 
Ok, I am braindead at the moment, what's a leg extension?? i'm sure I've probably done plenty of them, but can't place them right now!
 
Leg extensions can be done anywhere(floor,chair, with a leg extension machine and standing etc)! Think of a front kick motion(the extension of the kick)Stand with your feet shoulder width apart Displace the weight evenly across your right foot heel through toes.
Flex your left leg and lift your thigh parallel to the floor maintaining your balance and posture, now extend your leg straight out(hold ) then bend the leg and return to starting position! HTH
 
Francine - thanks for the description, and well, I don't think I have done those!! I guess that explains why I didn't know what they were :)

I'll have to try them.
 
If you have circuit max, Cathe does them using compound moves working the upperbody at the same time(hammer curls etc) What a great exercise that strengthens the quads !
