Hi All!
new to cathe love the workouts, will be traveling for about 2 weeks and wondered if the travel fit dvd would be a good choice to get and if so how often do i work out with it?
Thanks so much!:)

Well I haven't tried it on the road yet, but do own it. Travel Fit was designed for that specific purpose particularly since all you need is a band. As far as how often depending on the length of time you are on the road is something I can't speak to.

However I think any of Cathe's workouts that require little or no equipment would work just fine too like Cardio Core Circuit, Kick Max, and Kick Punch and Crunch. You could pick a couple out of the list to help mix it up.

Hope this helps some and I'm sure other Cathletes will respond :)

I was away for 1.5 months and brought Travel Fit along with MMA DVD's and STS abs When I can home I found that I hadn't lost any strength or muscle mass using the Travel Fit. I was very happy with the results.

Me too! Travel-friendly workouts

Hi! We're moving across country and driving/staying in hotels for about two weeks. I have been planning a "portable" workout plan.

Here are some workout videos that I'm going to use

Travel Fit
STS Cardio Core Circuit (tough! and no gear needed!)
HiiT (pyramid = no gear)
Ab Circuits (add-ons for workouts)
Kick, Punch, and Crunch (no gear)
Drill Max (Premix: Ultra Cardio Blast) (TOUGH! make simple modifications for the lack of hand weight and ball)

Because driving keeps the body in a stiff position for so long, I plan on doing quite a bit of stretching and yoga. Upward bows and "camel pose" really help stretch the hip flexors and back!

I plan on taking a 20 lb weighted vest, a yoga mat, stretchy bands, and videos. Just the vest alone (adjustable for weight) is AMAZINGLY HARD! I did the step portion of Low Impact Circuit last night while wearing it, and it was tough!!! Awesome!

Most of our hotels will have "fitness centers," but I know that it usually means just a bike and maybe a treadmill. It's hard for me to stay motivated on those. Plus, I think I'll have to put STS mesocycle 3 on hold for two weeks due to lack of equipment.

I'm excited to see how this works out!

I've used Travel Fit in hotel rooms, and I really like that it can easily be done in a small space.

Like myputer, I have found that I don't lose any muscle strength when using Travel Fit on vacation.

Stephaniein29, your plan wounds terrific!

I used Travel Fit and HiiT Pyramid for 2 weeks last September while on a hiking vacation. They were my first Cathe DVDs and hooked me immediately! I actually came back in better shape than when I left for vacation!

The movers are clearing out the house today, so I get to see if my workout plan is going to work! Maybe HiiT pyramid or Cardio Core Circuit...

Actually, I'll have all that glorious empty space in my livingroom tonight, so I should do a Drill Max premixed (the forward bounding and jumps)!!! So excited!!
