Hi Roxy1965! Sure, our bodies are designed to walk as part of our daily function. It is not considered overload to the body, unless of course we make it that (IE: strap a weight on our back and walk uphill for 2 miles). How-much-is-too-much, is something each person has to decide for themselves. For instance, if you worked hard all week and you're so sore to the touch that even leisurely walking pains your muscles, then a day off of walking would be beneficial. But if you are feeling just fine and want to walk a couple of miles and take in some sights, then by all means, go enjoy the day. As far as working out one part of the day and walking the other part of the day...another yes! Good Luck and enjoy!
