exercise on days off

Cathe I finally bought your basic step and total body stretching. The resistance tubing is tough. Iam following the rotation you suggested and I wanted to know if it is ok to walk on the treadmill or outside on the days off? Also is it ok to exercise in the am then walk in the pm?

Hi Roxy1965! Sure, our bodies are designed to walk as part of our daily function. It is not considered overload to the body, unless of course we make it that (IE: strap a weight on our back and walk uphill for 2 miles). How-much-is-too-much, is something each person has to decide for themselves. For instance, if you worked hard all week and you're so sore to the touch that even leisurely walking pains your muscles, then a day off of walking would be beneficial. But if you are feeling just fine and want to walk a couple of miles and take in some sights, then by all means, go enjoy the day. As far as working out one part of the day and walking the other part of the day...another yes! Good Luck and enjoy!

Ohhhh, just great, another possible Cathe workout...she's going to have us strap weights on our back and do step aerobics, I can see it now.

I'm telling ya, the girl was a torture expert in a prior life, so why do I come back for more?? Because deep down, I love it..:7

This makes me laugh because this morning after walking my older kids to school, my preschooler and I got caught in the rain! Running uphill in the rain for 3/4 of a mile pushing a 35 pounder in the stroller! Whew! I am thankful I didn't have to carry her! I know people push their kids in strollers all the time when they run....how do they do it??

>Jodi, as someone who can do 15 chinups I bet you had no
>problem at all pushing that stroller. :p
