Edge Booty Extreme Vol 2

This set looks so tempting! The clips at Mary's look good, but I wish they just sold the dvds only. Has anyone done these workouts yet??

I ordered from Mary and am still waiting for mine to arrive but looking forward to trying them. VFF has some info on one of their threads with a few descriptions of the exercises and it sounds pretty tough.

I ordered it and did the first workout this morning--Weighted Legs. It is the hardest lower body workout I have ever done. I was struggling by the end. And I LOVE it! It is the good struggle! This was the "leg" workout btw and it worked my glutes harder and better than any other lower body workout I've ever done. I am both excited and frightened of the "glutes" workout! No buyers remorse here. Even after one workout, I think it is money well spent. I have previewed them all and they are all similarly brutal.

I was having a look at Vol 1 (I just ordered a couple of Jari Love for 8 dollars woohoo and Cathe Cardio Supersets), and I was thinking 60 bucks for one DVD?!
Glad to hear they are worth the investment! :) That's always a relief eh?

If you like it, I know I will too.
Hope you do a review in your blog soon!

The lower body stuff has the step up lunge /hip thrust, glute bridge , curtsey all of my favorite lower body moves. I ordered from totalfit also waiting patiently

@Cafelattee

Please let us know the rep range on this. All exercise listed above are all effective exercises to build glute but is there any other
*new* exercise? I have also seen glute bridge on swiss ball and standing band exercises. I like those too. They are all effective.

90$ is a high price for what it offer, even including a nutrition plan IMO.
Plus never heard about this trainer before.;)

gbs123--yes, I will be reviewing EBE2. It will probably go up in a week. I am not doing the program, just sampling all of the workouts since I am starting another round of STS in September w/ a glute focus, so I will be incorporating the EBE2 workouts if I think they are good enough (and so far they are!).

Nathalie--It was expensive but I also got a 20% off coupon from Oxygen (Oxygen20). And the rep range is 12-15, and every workout is set up in supersets. So 4 sets of every superset and every exercises is 12-15 reps--except the plyo workouts and you do the plyo exercises for either 20 reps or 30 seconds. And frequently, what makes a workout effective it isn't the fact that there are new or different exercises but it is the way a trainer puts the exercises together. There were actually two new (to me) exercises in the Weighted Legs workout but IMHO it is the way she put the workout together that makes it so challenging. It not only hit my glutes hard but it was very metabolic. You get very little break between exercises. You do get a brief break between supersets but when in a superset you get little break between the exercises. I was drenched in sweat and my lower body was wasted by the end. I was really struggling to push through.

I did EBE2 Weighted Upper Body this morning and for a 34 minute upper body workout it was excellent. I will say Cathe is still the best, but this was the best 34 minute upper body workout I have ever done.

No--I bought it from Ingrid Romero's site (the trainer in EBE2). Oxygen sent me a sales email about the program w/ the coupon code and that was where it linked to. It was the same price as Total Fitness DVDs is selling it for. Plus, when you receive your receipt you get a link to the digital version of the fitness guide so you can read it immediately if you want. You will also get a hard copy w/your DVDs.

totalfitness has 1off for 10% and free shipping for US folks. I paid 80 and was on the fence but I really like the look of the workout. I can get all the moves combining Cathe stuff but I really like having a workout that's going to have them all in one (at least that what I'm thinking) Totalfitness also does returns if you use it once and don't like it. I've returned a few KCM that just weren't challenging for me with no problem

Can you smell my credit card smoking? That's the fastest I've spent money in a long time. Jen, I'm going to use these workouts like you are. I'm starting another round of STS in September and will do STS M/T/W and then use EBE2 glutes or legs on Thursday and EBE2 upper body on Friday. I'm so excited for these! :)

Jen thanks so much for the feedback - i didn't think any leg work could be harder than BodyBeast so i'm a little worried now LOL! May have to use light weights to start....

LMOL:D:D--- I can sense the same smell coming out from the burn:eek::D September. Enjoy your STS prep.
There is few of us re-starting September.

Thanks Jen---The trainer form look good. Her voice and her sweet spanish accent sounds pleasant to listen to.:)
I noticed she advised short cardio. This definitely make sense as far as building glute is concern.;)
;)

In her rotation calendar she has you doing cardio 5 days a week, but it is only 20-30 minutes. She doesn't have a DVD for that but she outlines what she wants you to do in the fitness guide. You do doubles frequently, too. Now, she does have one cardio workout. A 30 minute HIIT/Plyo workout DVD that you do every day the 7th week--the Peak week. It looks really tough. But we'll see. I have that one scheduled for Sunday.

When previewing the workouts I thought I would find her more irritating than I actually do. She is very perky and bubbly and calls her crew "Momma" constantly. It is irritating, but she works you so hard I stop noticing it!

Body Beast Leg workouts are brutal--but they hit the entire lower body and seem to have a big quad focus. Also, the difficulty seemed to eb and flow through Body Beasts workouts--some exercises weren't as brutal, giving you a bit of a rest. Now, I have only done Weighted Legs to date, but this one seems very glute focused plus, every single exercise was equally challenging. I felt like during a superset I got zero breaks. She just pounded my glutes and legs non-stop--and was super happy and excited about burning my glutes to a crisp!

Are the doubles x2 30 minutes? That is fine for me. I can workout up to 1.5 per day at the moment.:)
