Eating like a horse!!!

Hi all!! I've posted several times since I started the bb rotation, but I'm just amazed at some of these things that are happening to my body!! I have noticed a significant increase in my appetite the last week or so--and like I said, I feel like I've been eating like a horse!! or at least how I think a horse would eat!LOL! And it's not just "munchies"--my stomach's growling all the time, the whole 9 yards! I was just wondering if anyone else notices this same thing happening to them when they're doing a challenging rotation?

Oh yes! It seems like the more I work out, the more I eat. And how can you lose weight if that is happening?? Also, when I work out a lot, I sweat a lot during the night and in the morning when I first wake up. It is like when I first wake up in the morning I can feel myself "heating up". (its not menopause, this has been going on since I was 28). Its almost as if all that extra activity fires up the metabolism.

That happens to me too; the more I work out, the hungrier I get. And, when I lift weights a lot (which seems to be pretty much every week lately) I crave ice cold skim milk like crazy. How weird is that? I could go through a gallon a week just by myself.

This is interesting! For me its the opposite.. if I am on a rotation that is heavily focused on cardio..my appetite skyrockets!!

Where I really notice are on the days that I do a long run (5-6 miles). Man, the inventory in the fridge DEFINITELY gets lowered post workout!!

With me it is not the heavy weight training, it is the hi intensity cardio. The more & longer high intensity cardio I do the more I want to eat. If I keep cardio around 30 min., I have more control over my appetite. Otherwise I am heading for the cupboards a lot.

I find intense cardio inhibits my hunger. Heavy weights on the other hand, makes me very hungry and sleepy. It's so interesting how we are all so different in our experiences. :)

My DH has been riding his bike a lot more lately and his appetite is GONE. Meanwhile, I'm always famished....

Wow, this has gotten interesting!! Mine is definitely from weight training! But what's wierd is that I'm not hungry after my workouts, it's always earlier in the day. I work out in the afternoon, usually starting around 3:00 or 4:00. But I've noticed that I eat breakfast at about 6 am:9 and by 8am I'm hungry again!! So I eat something small, like a half a protein bar:* , and by 10am I'm hungry AGAIN!! This goes on all day until my workout. I drink a nectar protein drink for recovery, but then I don't want anything for a couple of hours or so. Wierd, huh?}(

Weight training always makes me hungry - I eat before and after my workout because I'm HUNGRY before and after my workout! I figure I'm trying to build muscle and my body needs proper fuel in order to do that. When I'm training heavy, or doing much more resistance training than cardio during a given month, there's no way I can "diet" - I can eat clean (limit processed foods, limit white flour and sugar, drink tons of water) but I can't cut calories.

Cardio, on the other hand, seems to dampen my appetite - sometimes I have to force myself to eat after a hard cardio workout.
