I bought a " Kick Punch and Crunch / legs and glute " DVD several years ago. I love it and use it quite often. Yesterday when I tried to use it with my DVD player it said "unknown disc" so I cleaned the disc and tried again. It still said unknow disc. Today I tried the disc with my computer, the result is the same.Seem like my dvd had expired. This never happened with my cathe's workout DVD. So I wonder if this happened with others and how long do I expect that my whole bunch of cathe DVD would expire. If I need a new one do I have to pay for it in full price or can I just return this one in.

DVDs don't expire. That's weird! Was it exposed to anything highly magnetic? I lost a bunch of photos on discs a few years ago after going through airport security overseas. The discs were unreadable after that, and it's the only thing I can think of that could have ruined them.

I did not do anything differently with the disc at all. Just put it on the shelf as usual . I looked through my online orders and found out that I ordered it from collage since 2005. I emailed them already. let's see the result.:p

Did you try your other Cathe workouts? Sure there is a good reason behind this. Please update us. Thanks.

In most cases this just means that the DVD disc needs to be cleaned. Just spray it with some glass cleaner and try again. Also, DVD players don't last forever. As they age the laser lens becomes dirty and will also eventually burn out just like a light bulb. Toward the end of the life of a DVD player you will start to notice more problems with some of your DVDs and then one day none of your DVDs will play. But always try cleaning your DVD when you encounter a problem like this. It solves about 50% of problems. You can also buy a disc cleaning kit and a laser cleaning kit that will solve even more problems.

I had this happen to me before. I cleaned my player and my DVD. It is frustrating, but it took care of it for me. Good luck!
