DVD Cases for STS

BelovedHeather

The STS storybook cases are so pretty on my bookshelf and so not practical to use. Thankfully, I have not cracked mine yet, and I want to keep it that way and save the pretty cardboard covers from shelf wear. I have been handling my cases with tender loving care and taking my time gently removing each DVD without force (which is a slow process). I wanted to find stronger cases that would release the DVDs without a struggle so I can get on with my workouts! Not to mention, I do not want to break a DVD in the middle of my rotation and have to wait for a replacement. I like the case for the optional squat rack leg workouts, so I searched and found these (which I believe are similar to the ones Cathe was originally going to use):

I found 12-disc cases on several websites, but they either sold them in bulk only or charged expensive shipping fees. I ordered 8-disc cases for the 8 upper body workouts from each mesocycle and 4-disc cases for the 4 leg workouts from each mesocycle. Based on the dimensions given, this takes less shelf space than two 6-disc cases for each mesocycle. I believe this will be more useful to me in the long run when I complete the STS rotation and want to reach for my favorites. The shipping charges are very reasonable ($2.63 for Fed Ex ground shipping from Pennsylvania to Texas). Disclaimer: I have never ordered from this company before.

Are there any creative peeps who want to design pretty printable cover inserts for me? *wink*

Blessings,
Heather B.

Thanks Heather, this is just what I need. Shipping to Los Angeles was low too, only $2.34, so for less than 10 bucks, it fits the bill.

I have a nice color printer/copier that I'll use to copy each cardboard case cover for the cover inserts. Not creative, but it works for me.

I don't have much of a problem removing the DVDs but I do want something more portable and like the idea of all the leg DVDs together. I have a DVD yoga set that has a cardboard cover and it is pretty dog-earred, so this is a small price to pay to keep things pretty and practical!

I just bought 4, 12-DVD storage cases like this ^ on Ebay for $6.95 plus shipping and tax (for all 4: 45 DVD capacity total). One case for each Mesocycle.

Hi all!

For us Europeans I found this: http://www.dvd-and-media.com/dvd-cases.htm (scroll down to bottom for the 12 way DVD case - there are 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 way cases)

in U.K.

Only drawback is you cannot order less than 5 cases, but they're quite cheap and I'm sure I'll fill the remaining two with the DVDs I have scattered all over the place!
I just ordered them and I'll report back on quality etc as soon as I get them.

Cheers,
Chris.

Just a suggestion here... but I use a "bible" cd holder where I slide my dvds out. Most of those types of dvd holders keep the backs fo the dvd clean as they slide in and out of the holder plus you are not poppng the dvd on and off every time you use the dvd.

I started using this type of holder when one of my workout dvd's cracked in the middle right where I place the dvd back in its case. Since then I have switched to that "bible" or "book" dvd holder. It seems to be a very safe way to store Cathe workouts! ;)

I'm glad people are finding what they need to hold their beloved STS DVD's. I have had absolutely no trouble getting my DVD's out at all. I don't even feel like they are going to break, thank goodness. Granted, I haven't gone through all of them but am very pleased with the cases.
Hope not too many others need to replace the cases with something easier.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Vicki
