i use dumbells in place of the barbell in ALL cathe videos...i just dont have the room in my house for a barbell and the plates (dumbells/step take up enough!!). am i not getting the most out of my workouts by doing this?
I have always been a strictly dumbbell kind of girl until recently I finally aquired a barbell!! I felt like one of the crew . I use it for squats, don't care for it on the lunges though. I thought the bicep curls & deadlifts seemed a little harder with the barbell even though the weight was the same. Maybe it was just in my head ????
I flip flop between the two, I have found that I prefer the barbell for squats since it is to taxing to hold a pair of really heavy dumbells in my hands. I don't know how they hold those heavy ones in STS ! Cathe is one tough lady!
