Don't THINK I missed anything...

Hi all. I sure don't want to be a pest, but I'm wondering if there's any updated word on "things." KAS - I know you said you would start a thread when the e-mail went out last week and I don't see a thread, so I'm pretty sure you all are steadfastly and fastidiously putting together details, etc to get off to this year's RTers. Thanks for that.

Like many others I'm still on hold in some of those travel plans and some of that depends on RT details. Do we know if there was any reconsideration of the Sunday a.m. class, or if not a class, any chance of getting the gym open early for RT access? No pressure --- I know you all are busy. Just hoping to square up some other plans here where folks are needing to know my availabilities. TIA

I was just thinking the same thing! I'm debating on driving vs. flying and was curious about Rapid Rover prices (anyone else know from last year?). I'm also echoing what you said - being patient, not trying to pester whatsoever, just curious ;-)

Hey y'all!

Hey everyone,

So sorry we haven't gotten details out yet, but believe it or not we are all STILL trying very hard to nail down a few agenda-related things for y'all that have this "ripple" effect throughout your informational documents. That's why we haven't posted or sent you the usual slew of MS Word docs stuff. I promise CROSS MY HEART that full disclosure is forthcoming shortly.

Rapid Rover pricing is really confusing, but as best we can tell (and we are verifying current prices before we "publish" to you), their pricing to us will have gone up only a little bit from last year. We still think they're the best deal around, and you are nowhere CLOSE to any deadline for calling them. It's all good. :D

If you have not made your final RT travel plans, here's what I suggest:

  • Plan on arriving early enough to attend ALL of the Meet & Greet on Friday (it starts at 4:00), because you WILL (repeat: WILL) have your first class with Cathe immediately after we complete your registration on Friday afternoon. She's still pondering what format that class will be, but it'll be high energy and a great start for our weekend, I can assure you! So be sure to bring a workout outfit for Friday afternoon in your airplane/train tote bag!

  • And plan on sticking around on Sunday til after the Farewell Brunch. Staying for the whole morning will be worth your while. Cathe herself will post more about this soon. ;)
If I say more, Tony Soprano will send someone after me. :p

I am reading this with interest just in case I should get a spot, but at the same time, hoping nobody else has to cancel! Last I heard, it was at #123 or so. I am #131 - any thoughts on a chance of making it?

Hey Meowracer!

I haven't checked on this in a few days so your info (#123) may be more current than mine. ;) But judging from my past experience being a Coordinator on the last four RT's, I can tell you that we generally do have a few cancellations during the last month beforehand, just because people are reshuffling their summer schedule and dealing with intervening life priorities. And at this point we also find that sometimes people on the wait list will (always sadly :() decline a spot if offered one because of the complexity and cost of arranging last-minute travel.

So I'd say keep your fingers crossed. :D

Just curious what time things will wrap up on Sunday. I am hoping to book my flights next week. I will certainly be there with time to spare on Friday but I don't want to miss anything on Sunday. I also don't want to hang around the airport all afternoon either. Would a 1:40pm flight on Sunday be cutting it too close?
Thanks!
