Don't tell anyone

I have really BIG FEET :eek:

Okay, I was reading the thread about the pegged jeans and stir up pants making a comeback and almost cried.
I CAN'T wear either one. I am 5'2" (almost) and wear a size (tight) 9 shoe.
I look like Bozo the clown in those pants!!!!!

this is our little secret right?????

Our little secret Ellie!! But WOW!! Size 9 huh? Does it run in your family?

I never cared for the peg leg or stir-uppants so I hope they don't come back either. I love the boot cut look myself.

No way!

I will never wear peg legged jeans again!!

And don't feel bad, I wear a size 10 and have since the 7th grade!! (but I'm 5'7"!)

I won't tell if you don't say anything about the fact that I have feet like Fred Flintstone-absolutely no arch! And, they're always sweaty(tmi). Drives my poor husband nuts when he cleans my elephant prints of our hardwood floors. And finding cute flat shoes is no walk in the park, either.

As for pegged jeans and stirrup pants-yuck! I wore both back in high school and am very happy to have left them there along with my mall hair and various other "don'ts"

So, your secret is safe with me;)

I'm 5'6" and wear a size 9 shoe. I always thought my feet were big too, which is why I love boot cut jeans, they cover half my shoe, lol.

Me too

I used to think I had big feet, then somewhere in the 80's, it seemed like a lot of people (younger generation) were wearing that size.

Now, I think they are just fine and dandy, and they keep me more rooted to the ground than if I had tiny feet.

(Though I must say, when I put on my size 10! Earth walking shoes (run small, but I also wear thick Thorlo socks in them, so go up a 1/2 size from that), I do feel a bit like "Bigfoot"!)

Klaudia, you're a flat-foot too huh? You know, I worked a couple of years in costume at the Yorktown Victory Center & we had to wear those silly no-left/no-right/no-arch historically accurate shoes, & I must say they were the most comfy shoes I've ever owned!

What kind of sneaks do you wear? I'm loving Asics Gels right now.......

P.S. I still have mall hair & probably will for the rest of my life.

Hey Laura,
I wear Brooks Adrenaline for running and Avia's for crosstraining. I am in need of new shoes very soon. I love all the pretty ballerina flats that are out, but everytime I try on a pair my feet look ridiculous. Thank goodness I can start wearing my boots again.

As for the mall hair-when I was in high school getting ready to get my passport pictures taken to go to France, they made me take my clip out-my curly hair was too big for the picture!:0

elliemom!!! I am 5 foot 2 and also have a size 9 (d width foot)! Maybe we are related! LOL

OMG I thought I was the only one!!! I am very self conscious about my feet when I wear pants of any type. It's not so bad with dresses or skirts and I can even do wide or boot leg jeans. But skinny leg pants NO WAY!!!
elliemom :D

Woops I was going to ask if there was anyone else out there who orders kids clothes. I'm 5 feet tall and have a size 6.5 foot. I buy kids sized uggs and winter coats from the Lands Ends Kids catalog. I would be so happy to be 5' 4".

WOW~ my daughter is 4'9" and has a size 1 foot (yes, kid size)... She is currently very grateful for small feet (rather than big ones!) Hey, you just made my 14 year old very grateful!

Stirrup pants? Oh say it isn't so:confused:. I will not wear them, or peg leg pants or leg warmers or bustiers with big full skirts and high top tennis shoes and fingerless gloves and raggy thingies in my back-combed hair, or anything hot pink, etc......:rolleyes::eek:. Okay, let's not get carried away here--take a deep breath.

I'll leave the trendiness to my daughters.

(sorry to hi jack your thread--I'm 5'4 and have size 8 feet--I guess that's fairly big for my height, but I never gave it much thought)

Maggie (who was the queen of eighties fashion back in the day--I need a barfing smiley:eek:)

OH PEE-SHAW! I am 5'4 and size 9 1/2 - and I have never blown away in the wind. I am firmly planted on earth.

I'm a nurse, and the old birkenstock clogs were a godsend...and made me look like a smurf....
