Don't stop the preorders

Hi Cathe,

Happy New Year and thanks for all you do for us. Please don't stop the pre-orders for your loyal fans. Even though the pre-order process opens doors for people to be disappointed when timelines don't work like they think, the bottom line is we, as loyal customers, get great pricing but we have to be patient. If everyone will realize that other instructors don't do pre-orders, so nobody can gripe when it takes time for THEIR workouts to get on the market..."what you don't know won't hurt you". Because you give us advance "warning" of a kickbutt workout series, we get these great expectations. I think the majority of us appreciate the great effort it takes and enjoy knowing something is looming on the horizon for us. You put out more workouts regularly than most "authorities", so please know most of us appreciate it and are happy to wait.

That said...BRING IT ON SISTA! :D Love ya!

Joni, glad you started this thread. Cathe's workouts are ALWAYS worth waiting for. I will continue to preorder and have never been disappointed.

I will third that - The anticipation can be torture(in a good way) and so much fun at the same time. I know that it is money well spent - and how can you argue with the prices.... I have been VERY disheartened by the posts of the past few days it is so nice to see people popping in with positives today.... Which I know we are the majority here... but hard when the minority get so, well... you read um too.... :(
 
This is my first pre-order and I can assure you it won't be my last. Every DVD I have purchased from you has exceeded my expectations in every way. Thanks for everything and take the time you need to heal and be well.

I love the preorders and don't mind the wait either, because I know you're gonna kick my hiney into shape for an awesome price. This is my 3rd time preordering and I know it will be worth it.

I have no intention of cancelling my preorder. I pretty much submit my order and forget about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm always anxious to receive my order but I know from ordering through Cathe and other instructors to expect delays. I would rather the instructor take the time and put out a great workout then rush to film one just to get "something" out. Cathe is still my biggest inspiration.

I agree with all of the above, and like Robin, I just pop my pre-order in the first or second day, and then spend the intervening months training up for the new arrivals.

I made the mistake this past weekend of buying DVDs from a couple of big-box "Brand X" instructors, and they were just dreadful. Dreadful. I can't even bring myself to give them away, they're so dreadful. Made me that much more appreciative of a producer who puts out a killer product AND is someone I can welcome into my workout area week in and week out.

Me personally, I am just adrool for "Drill Max". I'm hoping it'll be Boot Camp on steroids.

I agree with everyone too. I have saved a TON of money through pre-orders. I would hate to see them go away.
 
Me too! I have pre-ordered since Cathe started offering the option. And I'm with A-Jock, I just pre-order early and start preparing for the new workouts with all of the outstanding Cathe workouts that I already have!!:)

I really don't want to lose out to a few persistent voices so I'll voice my vote rather than regret my silence.

I like the current pre-order arrangement. I have never been disappointed. I have always received what I expected and at a good price. I would probably not order as much at full price and would definitely have missed out on some good workouts. I vote to keep things the same.

I don't need updates about nothing. It is nice to hear how the process is progressing from one stage to the next. Mostly, I usually just order and forget about it until the workouts are done.

Your forum, your rules. I appreciate the information and the motivation that I have received over the years. I would hate to see changes or charges for board membership due to increasing demands on time.

This was a big concern of mine after the thread yesterday. I think there will always be some people that aren't completely happy with the process but I don't want to lose my opportunity to preorder because a few people are unhappy.

Even the smallest injury can take forever to heal. I am sure it's frustrating for you Cathe, but I will still be here when it does heal and I get my workouts. Glad to hear that you were able to enjoy Christmas with your children.
 
Definitely don't stop them, but DO consider rethinking them.

If preorders began when filming was already scheduled, instead of when the workouts are not much beyond the stage of an idea, I think that would do a lot to reduce the frustration that people have about not having updates, and the wait between preordering and the finished product would be more reasonable.
 
Don't stop the preorders and don't rethink them. Most of us are happy and satisfied to wait b/c you deliver the best workouts on the market. I usually order on the first day as I did this time. Long wait...yes! Worth it...YES!!!

I also love the preorders and feel we get a great deal!:7 It would be disappointing for me if they were not continued. However I know I would still buy the product the minute they were released at full price. I love Cathe's workouts and feel I get great results from them, not to mention hours of fun! Helen

I didn't get involved in any of the previous postings with regard to this, but I must chime in to say I did preorder for the first time and I've just put it out of my mind. I'll be so happy to get the new DVDs and look forward to them!!! In the meantime, I'm enjoying all of your DVDs that I currently own, as well as my own workouts.

I am an instructor and I know how long it takes for me to create a routine, break it down, pick music and an outfit, and then tweak, practice, tweak and practice. And I'm not filming anything for mass production!!! I can appreciate all the time it takes to produce a quality class.

I've stayed out of it because I do believe and respect the fact that people have invested their money and have a right to voice their requests for updates.

But, in light of recent posts, I would hate to see preorders be no longer available.

Take care of that calf!!!! And thanks for all you do.

I did the same...preordered then put it in the back of my mind. I know you guys are working on it. I haven't even checked for an "update"...just happened upon the "fire".

Personally, I don't need an update. Just e-mail me when you are shipping them...that'll do! If someone were to ask my opinion, I'd say "Don't give updates" because you give an inch, they want a mile...a mile you don't even have! Rationally, though, the masses appreciate the updtates and are satisfied with the content. I'll check for an update when I have nothing else to do.

On that note, Thank You Cathe and Thank You SNM for all you do for us...you are super and the majority greatly appreciates your attention and continued excellent customer service.

Take care of that calf! Oh, rub some Arnica gel on it...we have dubbed that stuff "miracle cream".
 
I have to agree with this. I love the fact that you offer pre-orders. And yes, like many others, I ordered and then put it out of my mind. I have many other Cathe workouts to do so in the meantime, I'm happy.
I think we live in a world where we expect fast gratification and we HATE waiting for anything, especially if we've paid for it already. But I understand that this is a large process for you and you do your best to give us the best product you can. And this process takes time. Like I said, I have many of your workouts so I'm not even the smallest bit worried that the product you produce won't be the best, well planned, and challenging workouts yet!!

I have been a little taken back by the negative responses about the pre-order process so I thought it best to offer my support and loyalty!

I pre-order every advanced series you put out and will continue to do so. I have never been disappointed and feel your DVD's are head and shoulders above all others. The waiting has never bothered me. Like other posters, I just put it out of my mind and enjoy the ones I have (which, incredibly, I never seem to tire of).

Thank you for putting out such a superior product!:)
