Doesn't take long to gain fat

WOW!!! Taking a break between working on taxes, setting up a Corporation, going to night school to be a MT and trying to fit in my Cathe, I have been looking at my year end exercise log AND my stomach or ab section or pelvic cavity!!

Back in September and October, I was looking better than I had in my life. Then came November, just by doing 10 less cardios for the month and eating 3 Kashi bars a week, now I have a pouch in that pelvic cavity ab section or whatever is term to call it. LOL And my waist isn't as tight as it was back in October.
Hope I'm making a little sense. My brain is lost between choledochojejunostomys and dividing all the farm year's transactions into thirds. lol

It sure doesn't take long to gain fat. I had so hoped to start the new year in better shape than last year. I should think of the procresses but I just can't believe how fast you can get that awful fat back.
Looking at the label on the bars, I noticed alot of sugar. Eater beware I guess. ??? Cheetos, I found out isn't my friend either. LOL

I haven't been on board here for awhile. Just thought I'd pop in and let you all know I'm still alive....just a little bigger. hahaha

I'm thinking of starting the new year off with at bang. Using the intestity of the Premixes and hit it hard with endurance and cardio. My workouts for Sept-Oct was a killer.

I know what you mean, back in October I had dropped 15 pounds and looked good for our trip to Vegas, now with the holidays over I find myself with 15 extra pounds to lose. But thankfully all the Christmas goodies are out of the house and as of this morning I am down 4.5 pounds already. Goes to show you what a few goodies can do and I was exercising all the same also. My waist and stomach and hips were up about an inch each so I have to work on getting them back down again.

Glad to see you back on the board. We missed you!:) I think after the holidays we are all a little bigger:-( :+ . All our New Year's resolutions will be to lose our holiday gains,LOL!!:7

Hope we can all do better!:D

:D Tell me about it!!! We had eating parties at work and I felt so guilty. I haven't really gained, but if I don't keep eating Drakes devil dogs nightly I will gain!! I absolutely love them! Luckily, I only limit myself to one a day. Hurry box, be gone! Thank god for Cathe!!!

Hi, Wanda! I understand what you mean. That fat sure doesn't waste any time climbing back on board, huh? x(

Guys have it made don't they?;-) They can be whipped into shape in no time and eat anything they want and still have rock hard abs. GRRRR

I think I was just (and am) aggrevated by seeing what it takes for me to have the abs, waist and hips that I want. I guess I should take it as fortunate that I know the formula. Yet that formula for me is lots of very hard work. I have to train like an olympian to get there. And like I mentioned at onset, it didn't take much to lose the results of my hard work.

Ah....the joys of middle age. ( I say with satire) The age where one can't bounce back as easily and as readily as in youth. But....have you seen any clips of Charlene Prickett's new Crazy Step? I just have the Collage catalog and noticed that she is 57 years young and still going strong. :p

Thanks everyone, for letting me vent about my lack of self control with Kashi bars and cheetos. }( Last year if was Krispie Cremes. At least this time, it was a little bit more healthier. LOL

I know what ya mean, I was at 110 before the holidays started and I put on 7 lbs, because not being consistant in exercise, now I have started to get back into my routine, took of 2 lbs, put 1 back on lol .. oh well it will come off soon. This is what happens at holiday time huh ......... I hate those poochy lower abs grrrr .... Rhonda

Wanda, I am in the same boat as you. In November I felt the best I have ever felt and saw the most awesome results with L&G's. My legs are VERY stubborn and I was just thrilled. Long story short, I injured my hamstring very bad and have had to cut out cardio and all LB work for the past month or so and now my legs look the worst they have in years! :-( Talk about a downer. I am being seen by a sports ortho right now so I am hoping to be back in the swing soon. I miss my Cathe workouts and my Hi/Lo, Step & Kickbox routines bigtime. Good Luck as you ease back into your workouts this New Year! Thinking of you!

Oh Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear about your hamstring injury. That hurts, I know. I was recovering from a hamstring injury when I first came on board here. I believe you gave me some helpful advice back then.
As so many of us was doing great this fall and then bam....maybe it is something in the air....someone sprayed fat cells in the air.
It isn't what we ate...we didn't really eat that much. It is the air! LOL
Glad you are seeing a Sports doctor as they can help you to keep going and yet isolate the injured part. I think that helps the self esteem as well. You know that what you are doing at point A..is going to get you back to the point B...the place where you were before injury.

I'm sitting here with a new injured ankle. I was doing TimeSaver 1 last night and missed my step. The sound my ankle made as it twisted was like bone going through a grinder. I iced it right away and I'm giving myself the day off. No brainer, right? Hey, I may even paint the toes red....Hahah
I'm grateful that nothing seems to be broke, just sore Yea!
So, I know what you mean. I had plans to do a 90 min premix to start getting back to my point B today. Well...when we all get back to it....everybody had better look out, boy. Cause we will be coming back with a vengence.}(
I guess we can see what our potentials are. What if we never saw any improvements? (just trying to think positive as I join you in pain and agony)
Thinking of you as well. My poor hubby. When I get injured and I'm laying over my step box, he runs away as fast as he can. I asked him why he does that. He says he can't stand to see me in pain and he doesn't know what to do.
:( Guys are strange huh?

I was in a "same but different" situation for a few weeks this past fall; I weirded out something in my upper left arm where the biceps and the anterior delt intersect, and I literally couldn't do any lifting at my normal weight loads for weeks. Also had to cut out barbell bench presses, barbell triceps extensions, triceps dips AND standard and hammer biceps curls. Had to go to much lower weight loads on everything else just to get through my set.

All of that to say: The Case Of The Disappearing Muscles. Man, they shrank fast! Am finally back up to my normal loads and types of exercises, and am getting my beloved lean meat back.

Glad to have you back, Cathe4Me2!

A-Jock

Hey Debbie...

Sorry to hear that.... wow that's too bad

I got great results in Nove w/ L&G too. After I finish the intensity series.. I'm going to be sure to go back to that.. maybe I'll add that in one day now.. you are right the results were amazing

Robyn!

I LOVE that tape. The music is fun too! If I could, I'd be doing it RIGHT NOW! Have fun.

What a relief!! Someone else finally posted what I have been thinking, and it is so nice to read the responses! I feel like I have fallen off the wagon, and every attempt to get back on leaves me face down in the dirt. I will say that I stay on the boards just for the reminder of how important this exercising lifestyle is, and to stay encouraged. I feel like if I stopped reading about working out, that would mean I really have flopped in some way. At least by being here, I am keeping the door open.

This is not to say that I haven't been working out, but it is not with the intensity of summer. I homeschool my three kids, and since September, it has been so difficult to work it in consistantly. There was such a freedom of "my time" over the summer and being able to make that a priority. I did something just about every day. Cathe was 5-6 days a week, and on top of that was my mountain biking. Some days I just rode my bike and didn't even count that if I didn't do Cathe to boot. It was just fun.

Now, it is a couple or maybe three days each week and I feel awful. I feel guilty, but worse than that is the lack of energy and not seeing the benefits of working out the way I did over summer.

It sure feels good to come clean with it, and also to know that I am not the only one out there:)

Oh boy ain't that the truth. Five weeks now and this ankle is still a mess so cardio is out for me. I swear I have gained 10 lbs and 2 inches all over my body. God my underwear feels tight!

I need this ankle healthy again so I can start back up with my Cathe cardio workouts. I miss KPC so bad!

:(

Wanda,

I just got Crazy Step. It is a really good workout, one of the best (IMHO) that she has ever done. I really do like her workouts, this one is definitely advanced!

The only thing is her background is that all white like a few of her others - and that does bother me - depending on when I do it - do you know what I mean.

Charlene looks great and she keeps adding on this video until the end and it is a full one hour and 3 minute video - no warm up or stretching - I was sweating buckets by the time I got done!

I did purchase the DVD - and I have to add - when I got it I thought "What's this?" It is in the cheapest plastic cover I have ever seen - with nothing written on the cover at all. Of course, the quality of the DVD is not even comparable to Cathe's - but it is a good workout.

Cheryl

I think all of us should form our own little group...The former injured club or 1 month and the fat comes back club or some other catchy title....
Then start our year in February and hit it hard. LOL Who says the new year has to be January. hahaha

It just isn't fair how quick the clothes feel tighter when you really haven't ate That much and you haven't slowed down That much.
We shall get past this. We will get moving like our old selves again. We will heal, we will get this fat off. We're tough. We do Cathe workouts. }(

I think I will look at the Charlene workout sometime in the future. I can't get enough step....(she says while resting her sprained ankle.):( :(

My thoughts are with all of you as you heal from your injuries and battle with this same perplexity that I'm in. I made this little workout book for 2004. I put pictures of Cathe from the new BB series, the printouts of when the workouts were in the talk stage all the way to the release. I made workout log pages, food diaries, all ready for get go.
Think, I will take my own advice, tear rearrange my workouts and just start a month later on my cardio intensity. That will relieve alot of stress as I can't make my ankle heal any faster than it wants to. Look out upper body....I can still lift weights. LOL

Amen sister!!:7

Where do I sign up? As long as you will take someone who is just "too busy"...and am no where near as justified in my behavior as someone with an injury. I wish! I am just a procrastionator and a busy mom.....sooooo sad!
