Does anybody else use a purple resistance band?

Cathlete
I use the purple (more difficult than the green) resistance band for all Cathe's videos except Low Impact Circuit's bicep work where Cathe and crew use a resistance band with their barbell.

Does anyone else use a more challenging resistance band than the green one?

I just don't feel worked out with the green band.

I use the purple band also. I actually broke it doing back work in LIC last week. I was able to finish because only about 6 inches broke off from the end.

I did order new bands last week and they came today.

Count my in too :D . For Christmas one of my gifts was a purple Dyna band and a purple Spri band. They arrived at a perfect time for me to take things up notch.

I use a purple band for the back work (lat pulldowns etc). Green is just too wimpy for back work, IMO (unless I double the band, then it works alright for some exercises). I sure as heck wouldn't try a higher-tension band for the barbell+ band bicep curls, though!

Hi Kathryn. Also a bit off the topic, but does Cathe do lat pulldowns with a band in any of her workouts? I always enjoyed doing lat pulldowns at the gym, and I miss them now that I workout at home. How exactly do you do them with the band? Thanks a bunch.

yeppers! i use the purple WAY more than the green! i use the green for some shoulder stuff cuz i'm still have some twinges from an injury i got last year... (and i don't want huge honking shoulders anyways) but otherwise it's the purple one!

for the new workouts where you do the lat pulldowns with the band doubled and the back rows... i use the heavy silver band doubled....

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

Hi, Deborah!
Cathe does these in LIC. You hold the band at arms length above your head, then pull out and down. (I've also seen it done holding one arm up and pulling down with the other, which I think hits the lats a bit more.)
