I have read a lot of self help books. I usually feel good after I read them but after awhile you forget what they told you. I did tell my husband I wanted the new book by Joel Olsten, "Your Best Life Now" for Christmas. Has anyone read it? I have listened to him on TV and I really like his attitude.

Seven Habits of Highly Effective people.

Sink Reflections- a must for those who don't have time to spend hours cleaning and organizing.

Many self-help books for dancers such as Conditioning for Dance.

As far as books with get rich quick schemes. I avoid them like the plague.

I've read a fair few, and when it comes to the bit where they ask you to get a pen and paper and write stuff down, i think to myself "nah". Missing the whole point of actually buying the self-help book to begin with! I tend to read them like novels, rather than actually doing the exercises themselves.

I've read and listened to plenty of self help books. I mostly do it for motivation. It seems it's mostly common sense ond/or stuff I've heard before. I just use them for little motivation kick when I need one, I don't expect them to change my life.
