Do the bands stetch out?

I just bought a heavy tension band and noticed it's shorter than my medium tension band and they're both supposed to be 6 feet, so I measured them and my new one is 6 ft and my old one is 7 ft, but I never measured my old one when I bought it so I don't know if it has stretched or if the company mistakenly sent me 7 feet. If it has stretched than I guess that would mean the tension isn't as strong as it was when it was new, and also it's probably about to break. They are the non latex bands by the way. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, bands do lose their elasticity. I've read somewhere that bands need to be replace every 3 months, depending on use, of course.

Thanks for your response, but every 3 months? Wow that's really often! I've had mine for about a year. I wish I had known that since I just ordered that other band, now I'll have to pay their minimum shipping again. Thanks again.
