DO ANY OF YOUR HUSBANDS DO CATHY?

My husband has gained about 35 pounds since we've been together. I've had three kids and look the same, thanks to Cathy. I tell him to join me on my work outs but he wont, i mean Cathy is great for anyone. Do any of your men work out with the Cathy dvds?

I think he would if I didn't know about it...Says he'll do the weight training ones with me this winter, but we'll have to see...I can't see him doing the cardio...

MJ

My DH doesn't use Cathe but supports me doing it 100%! We have a bowflex and weights so he does those or goes to the gym. I know there are a lot of people here though whose DH's workout to Cathe.

Yes my husband does the ab workout from Muscle Endurance and sometimes he does the abs from KPC and Coremax. He alternates Cathy abs with Ab Ripper. He runs for cardio and does weights at the gym at his work. He's getting a nice little butt there I'll tell ya that!!! Oh and his abs are looking good too.

My DH probably WISHES he had the problem your DH has! lol He is super thin and can't gain weight even when he TRIES! We have been together for a total of about 5 years now and I think he may have gained about 10 pounds S-L-O-W-L-Y over that time. The only difference when you look at him is now he has small love handles that he never had before but otherwise he is still as thin as ever!

My weight has fluctuated between 125 and 143 since we started dating (not including when I was pregnant ofcourse). When my weight has been on the high end, I weighed MORE than him! Keep in mind that I am 5'3" and he is like 5' 10 or 11"!

My BIL went on Weight Watchers and lost all of the "I got married" weight he had gained while my sister lost her pregnancy pounds. Maybe he should try that instead??? My BIL did not exercise...neither did my sister and they still lost lots of weight on WW. They did the points plan I think.

Oh Dh tried a couple of times and I almost died laughing!:7 First time, he had been drinking the night before so he kept saying he wasn't himself. Then the next time he said that he didn't have a good nights sleep.
He did pretty good.I wasn't aloud to tell anyone what he had done. But when she would get the band out and pulse for 15 reps, he would stop dead and look at her and call her crazy. It was funny.
But as usual his life gets busy and he makes up excuses for why he can't workout.BLAH BLAH BLAH!
Lori:)

Sometimes my DH will do BC, KPC or ME with me. Step - forget it! He has no coordination and it does not interest him. Usually he likes to run and lift at the gym. DH doesn't do much of anything these days b/c of working full time and law school part time. Still looks great though. Wendy, my DH is like yours and probably couldn't gain much if he tried. Though about 5 or so years ago he started lifting seriously and put on about 20 lbs of muscle. Woo!

My DH used to workout with Cathe all the time, mostly the strength work and also BC, KP&C and sometimes CTX-Kickbox. He just couldn't do challenging choreo so the other workouts were not an option for him. He would fast-walk, spin or do the treadmill. He absoluletly LOVED working out with her and would talk sooo highly about how great her workouts were to his friends/family/employees. Then, his schedule changed and he got away from it all. Just two days ago he said, "I need to get back to it because my whole body aches." Sooo, off we went to the basement and did MM BIS & TRIS only. We didn't want to do too much too soon. Lori, he was DYING on those 15 count band pulses too and I was laughing at the faces he was making! Of course, I was right beside him making the SAME faces! :7 I am just hoping he starts feeling better & better and sticks with it. Goooo Cathe!

My husband does a lot of the weight workouts. He hates the band though, sometimes I hear him cursing when he has to do the pulses.
I try not to be in the room when he works out, though because he once tried to do cardio, and I was laughing so hard because he is so uncoordinated, and he has not done it since. I keep encouraging to try cardio again.

The mere question makes me break out into hysterical laughter:7 :7 :7 :7 :7 . I don't care if my DH does Cathe--I just wish he would do something on a consistent basis. He has a very expensive membership at a private club but he never goes. I think he went all of 3 or 4 times in the past year. He has some dirty gym shorts and a towel parked in a locker there and I told him the rent was a little high for a small closet!! He used to have a standing appointment to box with a trainer a couple days a week but that fizzled out a long time ago. I worry about him--he has an incredibly stressful job and works about 14 to 16 hours a day. He has very little time for workouts and/or relaxation;(

My Hubby is fit and an athlete, occasionally will do ME or MM to substitute his routine. Like most male athletes he tends to sacrifice speed for form with the reps.

My husband has taken ME or MM out to encourage my stepdaughter, who is overweight (18y.o.), to connect with fitness and exercise. They will do it together and I respect him so much for doing this.

He always enjoys wathcing me work with Cathe early in the am. "good for you" is what I hear a lot.

But, he's not a fan of the forum thing. I won't go there :)

My DH does not exercise. EVER. I would fall over from shock if he did. He is very tall and very thin and doesn't think he needs to exercise. We've been together long enough that I know I will never will that argument!

Lori

My husband use to go to a gym in the am before work and use there elliptical trainer. He really enjoyed it. He lost about 20-30 lbs.
He started taking graduate classes and has stopped working out all together. It worries me. He gets winded easily. I don't say anything anymore. I always get I have no time excuse. He would never use Cathe.

My DH has been a weight lifter forever, but he is content in the basement with his bench. I get bored out of my mind down there and so I prefer the family room and Cathe's workouts.

DH also used to run long distances, but for the last 2 or 3 years, he has had trouble with his knees. He has taken up stepping instead, but doesn't follow any set workouts. He usually pops in a movie or some kind of educational video from the library and then just makes up his own steps. He started out wearing a heart rate moniter so he knew how hard he needed to push himself on the step.

My father has taped most of her weight shows off of FitTV. He's given it to a guy a work and is making a copy for my brother, too. He talks all the time about wanting to do the workouts - just hasn't gotten to it yet. He doesn't know it, but he will be getting the Gym Styles upper body DVDs for Xmas!!

My hubby doesn't work out to her much anymore as he works out with free weights on his own, etc.

So far he has worked out to:

Super Sets
Low Max (LOL)
Boot Camp

i wish but he doesn't think its tough enough. if he actually tried he would be surprised. but you know men, the ego think they rather waste time in the gym, and i mean waste time b/c they talk more then they work LOL
