Disc 19 Ramble Good & Bad

Just got done doing Disc 19 Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. My arms are fried and it's feels funny to type:) Anyway, yesterday DH and I put together my weight bench that I bought about a year ago. It was a must since I've nearly killed myself the last two weeks trying to lift my loaded bar up to do bench press. It was awesome having the bench!! I'm sorry I didn't take the time to assemble it sooner. Space is an issue but I'll make room. Now my only problem is hoisting the dumbbells up to do flys. I did okay until my last set of incline flys. I literally couldn't get them into position and had to drop down in weight. I can't think of a solution. Is there one?? I also had to drop my reps then my weights doing the seated front press. They were tough! I hate not being able to lift what my workout card says I should be lifting but I know I need to listen to my body-and it was screaming :) This program is great and the one thing that I can't stop thinking is that now I REALLY know what it means to work until failure. It's tough but it really works! It gives me a wonderful feeling of achievement.
 
I have Disc 19 on the schedule this morning. I'm nervous just looking at my workout card:confused:. I've been using my Valor squat stands and weight bench for BP as there was no other way I could lift my bar to get into position.

I just wanted you to know that you're not alone with having to lower the weights. I was so hung up on the numbers and getting frustrated when I couldn't lift what was on my workout card. I think the muscle failure factor (which I didn't have when testing for 1RM) makes a huge difference on performance. I agree with listening to our bodies and dropping the weight when the form starts to suffer. Don't need any injuries!;)
 
Double Wave Load...aka Double Wipe Out

When I finally finished getting wiped out...I was wondering if she does this in Meso 3 and how I'm I suppose to be able to handle more weight!

I guess I will have to do some shopping :D

i loved this workout. and i am looking at a bench online right now. the one i have does not adjust low enough, cuz i am so short, my arms are not long enough to get the barbell off w/out killing myself. did it yesterday, but next month w/even heavier , don't think i can do it. i am lovin STS.

Cathy which ones are you looking at?
 
Yeah-I thought about Meso 3 as well. I was going to look at the workout cards but I think it's better if I don't know! My Troy Lite Barbell only goes up to 60lbs. and that's what I'm using now. I have some older metal plates-I guess I'll have to pull them out.

I'm too chicken to look at meso3 also.LOL
