Difference between exercises in PS and Sixpack

I love the PS series and have gotten great results with them. I'm just wondering how your new tapes differ as far as the exercises go. Are they different exercises, sets, reps etc. Will I continue to get results with these are just maintain what I have. I know the exercises that can be done at home are limited since there are no machines involved. The tapes sound great, but I just want to make sure I'm not going to be doing the same exercises as before. I would love to hear from you. Thanks Cathe.

Hi Denise! I try to give each and every workout that I create a new and refreshing feeling. I do this specifically so that you can use them as new rotations. While I may repeat some exercises on the new tapes, I have added new exercises and combined the new and the old in different ways. I have also added a wide variety of rep styles. The tapes were designed as maintenance in the sense that you do not hit one muscle group for a very long time or use the heaviest weight possible. So, generally speaking, if you are currently at a certain strength point, you could probably maintain that strength point with these tapes for about 6 weeks. After that, I would suggest going back to PS tapes and push harder to get further strength gains. Guess what? If/when you do this, you will most likely find that you can actually lift more weight with the PS tapes after returning to them. That is because you gave your muscles a long rest in one department(focused strength) and utilized them in a different way with the 6 pack(muscular endurance). Hope this helps!

As a side note in case anyone is wondering, it is important for me to point out that while I have mentioned that the 6 pack tapes are good for maintenance, it truly will vary per individual. Example: If you are new to lifting weights and suddenly use the weight sections of the new 6 pack series to get fit, you are definitely going to develop a signifigant amount of strength gains, while somebody who lifts heavy and with slow and focused efforts regularily, will find that these tapes are tough but more from a muscular endurance stand point.

Another Question for Cathe

Hi Cathe. I've been on a non-specific weekly rotation for the last 12 weeks, and two of my options have been MIS 3X in one week for endurance and PS 2X in one week for strength (plus cardio to make 6 workout days). Based on your response above, I should use the CTX series (I'm waiting for the DVDs) as an endurance week like I use MIS, right? I wouldn't do an MIS week and a CTX week back to back, or I'd have the same focus both weeks? The non-specific rotation has really helped keep my body from adapting during this phase of my 'fat/weight' loss plan and has kept me steadily losing.

Once I reach my goal, I'll start doing longer rotations and focus more on building strength, firming up, or whatever.

Thanks.

RE: Another Question for Cathe

Hi Joni! The 6 pack is the same thing as CTX, isn't it:-hmmm? Wow, thats pretty bad if even I don't know :)!

I think that every single rotation will provide a slightly different effect. And therefore, in your case where you mention that you are doing a "non specific type rotation", that you SHOULD consider a week of the CTX series. Not only does the CTX tapes work the muscle groups in a different format(than MIS)but they fit perfectly into the category of weight/fat loss. Hope this helps.

CTX & 6-PACK!!

Yes Cathe & Joni~The 6-Pack and the CTX are the same thing. I don't have mine yet but I have been reading lots about them. ;-)
