Didn't See it Coming...

Oh, man, anything about "daddy" gets me every time. Fortunately, my dad is still living. I can't even think about hearing these songs after he's gone.

Well, there's a Christmas song that just turns me into a weepy mess called "Christmas Shoes" about a boy buying these shoes for his sick mother at Christmas. It's so sad. When we went to Vegas a couple months ago and I saw the Fountains of Bellagio I felt choked up. (Shivers up the spine) They went to the song "Time to say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman. I always get weepy though especially in movies. I went to see "Monster" this past year and I swear I was teary from the very first second of it until the end. Sometimes things just affect you.

I have had a few times driving in the car where I have tears in my eyes. Luckily it didn't cause an accident. That Tim McGraw song is even more sad when you know it's about his father, who just died this year. :(

A song by his wife, Faith Hill, gets me every time. I think it's called "Thought I Saw You Today", about someone that died. Also there is a Tracy Chapman song called "The Promise" and Sara McClachlan's "I Will Remember You". Any time I hear these it makes me cry because when my son was 13 his friend was murdered by his father. It was a horrible time for all of us, especially living in a very small town where everyone knew everything about it.

Sorry to be a bummer!! :) I just think music is really emotional sometimes, good AND bad.
