Should I have expected anything less??? I was in recovery heaven during those calf raises!!! I was amazed how my legs felt when I removed the ankle weights, even only using 3 lbs. made a HUGE difference.
LOVED IT!
Jerry, I have had L&G since it was first released and have NEVER tired of it. If you haven't already done so, the pre-mixes that combine KPC and L&G are fab!
I looked those over, they are definitely on my to do list now that I did L&G all the way through. When I first watched L&G I thought, wow, it really doesn't look all that intense.
Jerry, you should know better by now Previewing Cathe's workouts can give you the ILLUSION of lack of intensity. You are going to love the pre-mixes and trust me, they are going to kick your butt, in a good way ;-)
I LOVE this workout. All those step-ups at the beginning get my heartrate way up. I have to take a break before doing the squats over the step. This is one of my favorite leg workouts.
I always laugh at Cathe's little shake move during the ankle weight leg section. It's just too cute and reminds me why I love her workouts. She seems so human and down-to-earth at that moment.

Jerry-
When you're in the mood for a killer workout, try the 82 minute premix of KPC and L&G. You do all the intermediate/high intensity drills from KPC and then you alternate the kicking and punching combos with segments from L&G standing leg work. My butt is NEVER as sore as the day after that premix!

Thank you, Jerry, for starting this thread, and thank you, Allison, for the premix suggestion. I did it today. It was fun!! I forget how good L&G is - I think I'll work it in its original form next week!
Give the premix a try, Jerry, when you've got 82 minutes to spare.
Just wanted to add that yesterday I did (and made it through!!) the Legs and Glutes Xtreme premix. You basically do almost the entire workout TWICE!! It thought after the second round of the standing weights section that I was going to have to call it quits, but I sucked it up and completed the premix.
My legs are sore today, but not like I thought they would be.
I'm really starting to discover (and love!!) premixes! They have been the motivation factor that I've needed to get back into working out consistently.
You must try this premix (as well as the B&G Leg Blast Premix)
I love legs & glutes! I did it once a week for 4 weeks and noticed much improvement in my legs. They're still not where I would like them to be ... but, that's another story! haha. I, too, did the xtreme premix. I had to psych myself up for that one, but loved the feeling after I was done. Definitely sore, but felt so accomplished. I'm excited to try some of the other premixes suggested. I've never tried any premixes that combine KPC with Legs and Glutes ... making a mental note to try them soon!
Just have to revive this thread since I just did L&G for the first time today. OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! I thought I would breeze through it after previewing it - OH NO. And I didn't even use ankle weights. This is going to be one I will incorporate into my workouts as my 2nd leg workout - it is definitely an endurance workout too... I was huffing and puffing...
I have been doing L&G for a couple of weeks, with PUB. I try to do each at least twice a week. I aim for 3 times, but usually end up being the 3rd time starting into the next week. I love it b/c so few weights are required. Since I have to lug my stuff into another room, I really appreciate that bonus!
I did L&G recently and it wasn't as challenging as I remembered. Granted, i did this after an Amy Bento Slo Mo rotation (now that's a killer leg routine). Geez I must the only one that isn't crazy about this workout. Maybe I just need to do the double premix.
