DH just got laid off today

I too am sorry to hear this. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, and another, better opportunity is around the corner. I wish you much luck and a quick change in circumstance.

Carola, I am SO sorry that this happened. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. I know you guys are upset. I'll be praying that something better comes along soon. I agree with Michele that another door is sure to open soon. ((Hugs))

I told DH yesterday that maybe the layoff is a blessing in disguise since he didn't really enjoy working at the company anymore. Hopefully something better will present itself.

He already got a bunch of phone calls and emails yesterday from previous co-workers and friends about other jobs. He needs to get his resume together, so I have to get off the computer.

Fortunately, he will get a severance pay that will keep us afloat for a little while and while my income has taken a beating over the past 18 months, things are starting to look up for me. It is still pretty scary!

I work from home and I know it will be difficult to have him around all the time, I never get anything done when he is off work and now he will need the computer and I guess I have to fight for time on the computer http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_9_134.gif

We'll see what happens, fortunately there are a lot of semiconductor companies in AZ but I am still worried we may have to relocate and I don't really want to x(
