Deodorant

Hi Cathe and Cathletes!

I have problem finding the right deodorant which I need for working out. I've been using Secret Clinical Strength (the messy white thing). It works great except that it is very hard to wash off. Underarms still very sticky after using soap so many times.

What do you guys use especially when you know you are going to workout and sweat a lot and how do you wash it off !!?

Thank you!

I been using organic deodorants like Jason for years. I can't use anything else, it will irritate my under arm.

I should add: I never get sweat stains or white patches stains in my clothing with Lady Mitchum. When I bathe, I just add a dollop of soap/shower gel that is just for the underarm area, gently scratch yourself there with your nails, it will all come off. No rubbing, no pain, all good! Sorry if this is TMI, but I think you did ask!!

I just roll out of bed and workout with whatever remains of yesterday's deodorant. I know I stink at the end, but if my daughter won't get out of bed to get ready for school, I just threaten to hug her!

I recently discovered Weleda spray on deodorants, no nasty aluminum or other ingredients and have been pleasantly surprised by their effectiveness.
I also discovered that if I splash a little bit of clear whey liquid (the clear liquid that separates from yoghurt) under my pits its works as well as anything I've tried.
Diet seems to play a role as well. I try to go lightly on meat (always pastured, grass fed, organic) because I do notice I need more deodorizing on the days after I eat more than one serving.

I use two easy home remedies for deodorants that truly work remarkably well. Continues it's protection for more than one day. Amazing stuff.

1. Milk of Magnesia. That's it. Nothing more. Apply with a tissue folded and it dries very fast.
After using the Milk of Magnesia, you can dab the dry ingredients (below) under your arms, if you like. I do sometimes.

2. Coconut oil, (do not mix with dry ingredients). Dry Ingredients: Mix together 1 part baking soda to 1 part cornstarch, add an essential oil if you like. Just use the coconut oil under your arms then press a cloth into the dry ingredients and dab on. You are good to go for at least 24 hours or longer. You can also add in other ingredients if you want like: Rice flour, baking powder, tapioca powder or cream of tartar. USE ANY COMBINATION YOU LIKE. I use them all. You choose what you would like. One part of everything is the way to use them. The powder comes off very shortly and you don't even know it was there.

I've even tried coconut oil by itself, and it works amazingly well too. Enjoy.

Been doing this for way over 10 years, and even during workouts. Nothing there to cause discoloration...These are the perfect deodorants for me. Try it out, you'll love it.

My favorite is the coconut oil and dry ingredients.
