December Workout Checkin -New Monthly Thread

Good Morning,

I was going to do PUB today, but I had unexpected guest at my house last night and they spent the night, so I could not do my workout this morning. I will try to run 6 miles easy tonight.

Tuesday workout for me: I did PS Back and PUB Back and then did the Cardio Conditioning premix off of KPC. Boy after yesterday's all Chest day I am soreeee today!!!:eek: Punching during the cardio today hurt as did the warm up off of PSBB&A!!:+

With the thread like this it is harder to keep up individually for me, so forgive me if I don't post personally to anybody.:+ :(

My workout for the day is done.I have done C & W, the cardio and lower body premix of bootcamp and the core premix of bootcamp too. I have seen that the presale is going to end on 24 of dicember and I was flying over the step in C & W. I was tired during the premixes of bootcamp but 34 minutes of lenght of the CALB premix is nothing and the core premix is short. I am very proud. Later I will do 30 minutes in my stationary bike. If this won't slim down my legs and butt nothing can do it.See you tomorrow.

I have to agree that with a thread like this it is hard to determine which posts are new. By the end of the month this thread is going to be enormous!

Good Tuesday afternoon,

I have to agree that this post is becoming cumbersome, and we're only on Day 3. Maybe we need to rethink things. Do only a weekly thread? Go back to daily? I like the idea of continuity that this form of thread allows, but also agree that this particular format doesn't seem to be working very well. Anyone got ideas? My brain is very fried from this morning's work.

Carole, they don't play that commercial here in Canada, but it sounds hysterical! DH usually walks or bikes the mile to work, but it is so cold right now that even a 20 minute exposure is something to avoid. I felt so bad for him; I made him do all the work to get the car ready for me, then made him find his own way to work, at 7:30am, pitch dark and freezing cold. The temp will be dropping even lower tonight, so I will definitely be driving him to work tomorrow morning.

Laurie, I'm really enjoying the updates! IMAX3 sounds brutal! I'm thinking I need to start doing the IMAX2 blast premixes, to get used to less recovery time and all that. Besides, IMAX2 this morning didn't feel terribly difficult; it's time for me to increase the challenge level. But you go first. Dare you :-D

Mariángeles, tough workout, but certainly one for the entire body. I might try that some time.

Katie, congratulations on the heavier weights in CTX! It's very rewarding to see progress, isn't it? How are you energy levels these days?

Jes, has the UPS man arrived yet? With me, every week is a whole new ball game. I never repeat the same week twice. I have made up 4 week rotations before, but every day is different.

Sandy, are you getting some energy back? Do your gym instructors change the workouts each week?

Josie, I'm impressed that you are still running after completing the marathon! Don't your legs need a bit of rest?

Annette, your chest workout yesterday sounded brutal. If you are able to do all that, then I bow to you. :)

I have to agree....I'm getting lost trying to keep up with the posts and what is going on. I really like everybody posting their monthly rotation though...Maybe we go back to a daily check-in....to chat about our workouts....and have a monthly thread just to list our workout for the month ?

Today: 12 min elliptical, 32 min treadmill, CTX back & biceps.

until tomorrow....

Sandra - My energy levels have been great lately, but unfortunately I have not been as strict with my caloric intake since Thanksgiving so that may be the reason why. I really need to get back on track, but between Thanksgiving, my Anniversary and all the Holiday parties I'm having a really difficult time. I was good for about 4 days last week, but then blew it over the weekend. This week I haven't really been good at all. Sigh... it just is so hard to stay strict and eat clean when you know that in two days you're going to be eating Holiday goodies at the family Christmas party. I just keep telling myself "at least you're still working out every day", but I know that's still not enough. Sorry, I didn't mean to go off on this tangent. I guess I'm just thinking out loud.
 
I also agree that this thread is getting too hard to keep up with. i like seeing everyone's plan, but it was easier to communicate on a day to day thread. I will go along with what everyone else decides.

Now, the exciting part!

yes! the ups man got here about 2pm. i was going to do imax w/ you today sandra, but i had to do this instead. i did all the cardio and leg segments of BC and then all of ME. i am an idiot! i will not be able to move tomorrow. it hurt to brush my teeth in the shower afterwards! pathetic. but it was so much fun and i love ME!! you can all say "i told you so" now because you were right!

I don't really mind the thread this way...but....by the end of the month!!!!! Weekly might be better....or what about when you get ready to post....click the reply on the first post....as that should keep the posts in a straight line???? Any thoughts ladies???....could always go back to daily....:+ ....Carole
 
Hey Sandra that sounds to me like a challenge and I am definitely up for it!:) }( :) I love IMAX2 as is but I cannot wait to explore the blastey premixey things that are coming my way with the IS DVDs. Ain't 21st century technology grand. I may think otherwise after experiencing things like BC cardio only or Blastmania:p

Carole, hope you and DH enjoyed the day yesterday and that you had a great massage. After PS legs with some PLB and a run I'm sure your legs were loving it!!!:)

My pecs and triceps are so sore from yesterday's PUB (in the good way), I hope my legs aren't feeling like this tomorrow after today's PLB:+

I feel more or less the same, ughhx( but still I must press on, at least a little:) ...........listen to this, I didn't even make it to the gym tonight because the weather was a little crappy, just rain but you know how it is people suddenly forget how to drive when a little precipitation comes their way, so the traffic was insane and in way overpopulated NJ, that is never a good thingx( ;( I was beyond angry but what can you do?? SO I went home and did PLB/PUB combo with abs and loved it...it's been so long since I did the combo! I wanted to do IMAX2 with you but I am doing step tomorrow and my knees have been saying "hello" here and there lately so I thought I'd play it safe.

My instructor doesn't change up the powerflex too much but with step he does change it up every so often...it's a lot of fun! I would love for the step to be longer than what it is, but there is another class after oursx( !

I agree with you....the idea of this thread is great, but the reality of it is getting a bit cumbersome already. I know there wasn't continuity with the daily threads, but they were easier on the eyes! I prefer the daily threads but I'll go with whatever everyone else wants:)

Again I'm checking in here when I'm on the verge of falling asleep, so will just say I did S&H Chest & Back today. Yowza! I've done it a zillion times but after my paltry efforts last week it truly kicked my butt!

Tomorrow is cardio. I hope to have enough energy back soon to say hi to you all, but I literally just caught myself sitting here staring at the screen & drifting off. So...

Hi good morning, today I have done the part with the stability ball of PUB and the ctx kicbox cardio and arm drills. My workout of the august rotation is done. Later I will do 30 minutes in my stationary bike.Have a great day.

Recovering (Ihope) from what has been a frequently recurring sore throat and so took it easy yesterday. Did Max Cardio Burn/Abs (Firm) and UBP (back and triceps). Hope to do Gauntlet this evening.
 
Cathy you are going to enjoy the gaunlt.It is my favorite terminator workout. I hope the hardcore extreme dvd will be so great.Have a great day.

I know. I have done the Gauntlet many times. It is my favorite Terminator workout. I am only hoping I am up to doing it this evening.

Hello everyone,

I did Leaner Legs last night along with Kathy Smith's Peak Fat Burning. I haven't done this workout since about '98. I am going through all my old VHS and seeing if I want to keep them. I plan on keeping this one. Some of the moves are less intense, but Cathe has taught me how to up the intensity. }( It was a nice add on because the cardio was only 25 min. long.

For the rest of this week I plan on doing the CTX series. I think tonight will be 10-10-10.

As far as the thread, I will post in whatever format works best. I have put my view of threads for this forum in a page view. That way I just go to the last page I viewed.
