Good Morning Gin and all who come after!

Today I did KPC as is. I was debating doing the mish mosh again, but then I got lazy and didn't want to change discs! My abs are definatly sore now.(they were alittle sore this morning before I started KPC) I was thinking of not doing the abs today, but then I couldn't figure out when to stick them in later this week, so I did them. I actually cheered when she said on to planks!! The ball pass before that was tough today!

The blog pictures are amazing!!! I really am excited to get the new dvds. It looks like old moves with new twists:)}( :) I'm really looking forward to the tri. dips with the feet on the ball, and the kickboxing! (some of the squats she's doing with the barbell in front look scary!)

Gin~ I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Please keep us posted!! Enjoy your green eggs and ham! I'm glad you liked the mish mosh!

Marcy~ Whats on your schedule today?

Tracee~ I'm crossing my fingers your DS won his game(s) yesterday:)

Cheryl~ Did you wake up early to workout today? I prefer doing it in the morning. If I wait till later in the day, I usually end up not working out.

Have a good day all,
BBL,

Deanie:*

Good Morning Ladies!

I'm feeling a little better today. I did Kimberly Spreen's Cardio Camp. I'm sorry to enable but I have to highly recommend this workout. It was so much fun. I burned 446 calories (almost as much as an IMAX). It was hi/lo (without the really high impact), kickbox and non-weighted leg work with balance moves. I really liked the variety. She does a hi/lo combo, then a kickbox combo, hi/lo, kickbox, hi/lo, kickbox. Then she does all the hi/lo together, then all the kickbox together. Then she goes on to the leg work. Her stretches were great. This workout kept my heart rate up practically the entire workout. This is a definite keeper for me. There aren't too many good hi/los on the market and this is a great one. It's kind of like MIC and Low Max mixed together (which if you remember I did a mish mosh of a few months back). She is really great at cueing and has a nice personality. Also, there is no floor ab work but I felt the standing ab work in my obliques with the shin blocks.

I think my new favorite workout is going to be Cathe's High Intensity Step and Chest & Back. I love that she's doing some new complex choreography with spins (my favorite). At first when I saw 62# bbl, I said no way, but then I remembered I used 31# dbbls for underhand rows in P90X, so I think I might be able to manage it. The 30# incline press is another story. I hope it's only 8 reps, then maybe I can do it but probably not the first go around. The new kickbox looks great too.

Gin - Sounds like a fun day at school. I'm so sorry about your mom. Just know my prayers are with you. Glad you enjoyed your workout.

Deanie - I never did like that ball pass in KPC but it's gotten easier over time. Did you read about the "pushup around the clock" move? Sounds interesting. I like that she's including all different types of pushups.

Tracee - Hope your DS won yesterday. Is this the end of baseball now?

Cheryl - What was your workout today? How's your journal coming along?

Marcy

Good Afternoon,

Marcy~ I'm going to have to start a list of all the workouts you recommend, so when I want something new I have it handy:) It sounds like a fun workout, and I like its not really HIGH impact. I thought the same thing about the 62# bbl, but I also did 30 or 32# for rows so that should be okay. I use 55#bbl for S&H bench press, I wonder if I will be able to do it 30#db, or if I even want to (some of Cathes chest shots, not sure I want my chest to look like that)... I think this is going to be one Challenging series! I did see the round the clock pushups. They look good, its the "how low can you go" that I am concerned about:) Are we going to be holding that pose??!!! The X kinda burned me out on the pushups, so by the time we get this series, I should be okay with them. I do love the push pull method though. I am also anxiously awaiting Cathe's rotation with the new series, to see how she is going to have us use them!

Gin~ Hope you had a good day at school. Also wanted to mention, do you eat something before you workout? This may help jump start your metabolism. I really think its made a difference to me. The last couple of weeks I have been having either 1/2 a banana(cardio days) or a handful of (non roasted/non salted)cashews (lifting/circuit days), waiting 20ish min. and then working out.

Tracee~ Baseball? did you get the ipod pictures I sent?

Cheryl~ Hope you are having a good day

Deanie

PS I was out with friends the other day, and my friend turns to me and says "your body is ripped" I couldn't believe it:) I always feel like I don't look like I work out. I'm still on cloud 9 about that!!:)

Hi Again!

Deanie - I would be on cloud 9 too. That's wonderful. I don't know about the how long can you go but I know I was able to go lower than I ever have with pushups when I was doing the X. I did need a break from all the pushups but I think I'll also be ready by the time we get the series. I think this series will definitely be a challenge. I can never go as high as Cathe on chest and bicep work but usually go higher on back, shoulders and tris.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Could you tell I was in a big hurry this morning? Thank you ladies about the concerns for my mother. Hopefully after this week, I can go down there. The doctor wants to run some tests to find out why her heart is still racing.
The green eggs and ham were a hit with 8 out of 9 kids. They ate the whole dozen! The blogs pics are both scary:eek: and exciting!:7

Deanie--WTG on the "ripped" compliment! I think I will do KPC abs tomorrow after legs. Why don't I remember the ball pass on KPC? I did see your post on eating before w/o and have been eating a 1/2 banana before lately. When I got on the scale Sunday, I had gone down 4 lbs.:) I'm starting to see a little muscle definition in my arms. Friday will be 4 weeks of eating very clean and honest journaling.

Marcy--Thank you for the info on Kimberly Spreen's Cardio Camp. I'll have to remember that one. Not sure I am with you girls on the 62#!:p I have to be careful with my lower back. I did something to it years ago and it has never been quite the same. So there's my excuse!;-)

Have I mentioned that I really LOVE this rotation??
Gin

Hey Gin!

I was getting lonely waiting for someone to post again. You seem to be a real hit with the kids. They're lucky to have you. How far away is your mother? Do they have her on meds?

I'm loving this rotation too. Congrats on the weight loss and the definition!:) So what's the answer? Journaling and eating clean? You sounded like you always ate clean to me. I lost a little over a pound since last week. I guess it's the little bit of extra cardio and the cleaner eating for me along with journaling. I don't have time to eat before I work out and I'm usually okay but sometimes I'll have a banana or a fiber bar so I don't feel those hunger pangs.

Marcy

Hi Girls,

I didn't get up in the morning and work out so I had to do it after work. I was doing KM without the leg drills and ab ripper x from P90x. Well I got half way through KM and felt faint. I think my sugar was dropping (cause I didn't feel tired, I felt 'shaky'). So I stopped and did abs. I'm mad cause I didn't get in the blast though x(

Journaling is going well. I find my eating changes when I journal cause I don't want to write it all down - ha! I think I need to change to get more fruits and veggies though...we'll see. My problem is time. I never have the time to eat properly. Can anyone suggest some healthy snacks that I can eat at my desk...so I don't go for the 'evil' candy???

Gin - I'm so sorry about your mom...what is wrong with her? I thought about buying KPC, but the new dvds will have some kb, so I'm waiting...good job woman!!

Deanie - Oh to cheer when working out :) ha! Maybe one day in the future! Great job though!! Way to go on that 'ripped bod'!! Man, my day better come...it makes my 'suffering' worth it :) Ah, who am I kidding, I like my 'suffering' :)

Marcy - I'm excited to hear about another dvd! I love cathe's but I always like change too. I've heard of Kimberly, but didn't want to buy it and be disappointed - I didn't want to waste money really :)

Good Evening Ladies!

Marcy--My mother is in Houston which is a 4 and 1/2 hour drive from me. Yes, she takes several different meds. I talked to her tonight and she had a heart cat scan today, waiting to hear from the dr. and was then going to have a chest x-ray. She feels good now.
You DO NOT need to lose weight! I WAS eating about 85% clean (not journaling, ocassional sweets) but now nearly 100% clean. I really no longer crave the sweets and simple carbs. I don't have that hunger crash and am eating small meals every 2-3 hours.

Cheryl--
I'm so sorry that you felt faint when working out! Are you eating enough? Would it help you to post your daily menu here? I try to think the night before about what I will eat the next day. As far as packing healthy snacks.... I love 1/2 c. low fat cottage cheese mixed with chopped fruit of choice, cheese sticks wrapped in turkey slices, cut up veggies(carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomotoes), hard-boiled egg whites. Try to avoid anything that comes in a box or a bag or with a list of ingredients that you cannot pronounce! Stay away from the vending machine. It does take more time and thought to eat healthy, but it will be worth it!

Gin:)

Thanks Gin.

I think today was bad for me becuase I haven't had a chance to go grocery shopping yet. Here's what I ate before workout (I'm not a 'clean'eater yet, so don't be too shocked...haha):
B) multigrain eng muffin w/ 1 egg / 1 slice reduced fat swiss cheese...yep..coffee too.
S) none...too busy with meetings
L) meal bar (on the run again)
S) box of raisins
d) another meal bar...I was hungry, but didn't want to eat too much before working out.

Since then, I had a turkey sandwich and feel much better. I really have to look into the eating clean books so I can figure out how to incorporate it into my life.

Thanks so much again Gin for the suggestions. Tomorrow I have to attack the grocery store :)
