Good Morning Girls :)

Today was CTX upper body. This was the first time I've done this workout and it was tough! When I previewed it I thought she used light weights, but doing the workout, it was tough keeping up with her! I thought the biceps were the hardest.

Gin~ Did I see 9 more days till the road trip? Though I didn't want to do it, I am a little jealous that you will get to workout with Cathe and meet others from the forums.:) You must be so excited!

Cheryl~ Hope you had a good workout today

Tracee~ I signed my DSs up for Baseball today. Just when your season ended! :)

Marcy~ I hope you are taking full advantage of your vacation day and sleeping late!!:)

Good Moring Ladies!

Today I did LowMax and Stretch Max #3 with the resistance band. I used an 8" step for the first time and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I burned 485 calories. Obviously IMAX3 didn't come in the mail yesterday. Hopefully today.
My back has been bothering me a little. I injured it years ago and every so often, it will hurt!x(

Deanie--Good workout with the CTX! Yes, I leave for the RT next Thurs. and we all meet on Fri.-Sun. She will have 3 classes on Sat and one on Sun.:p }( I so wish you guys were going!! There is always next year! DH and I are staying until the following Tues. and staying one night at the Hershey hotel.:9 We will be in the same boat when school starts with having to workout at 5:30 to get to school on time. Fall Ball ,huh? Fun!!

Good morning everyone!

I was out last night so of course that meant I was too tired to get out of bed this morning. I think LowMax was on the schedule so I'll probably do that tomorrow.

Deanie- How long does fall baseball last? We don't have that in my town so I always forget that other places have that. My ds and his team are actually playing in another tournament this weekend. This should be the last one though because football practice starts in a couple of weeks and we need some down time. :)

Gin - I'm jealous too about not going on the roadtrip although I know I would be a nervous wreck right now if I was actually going. I can't wait to hear everything you have to say when you get back. Are you planning on doing all four workouts with Cathe?

Marcy - I didn't realize you were going on vacation. Hope you're having a good time.

Cheryl - I'm not sure if we've made a decision about our August workout yet. I know we're planning a recovery week next week but after that I'm not sure. I'm waiting to see what Cathe's rotation for August is going to be and if I like it then I might follow that one.

Hi Girls!

Yesterday was a rest day so I kind of doubled up today. Did IMAX 3 for the first time in months. Felt great although blast #1 is still the toughest for me. I tripped on the step at the end of the blast so I stopped to catch my breath and then finished it. Blasts 4, 7 and 8 were tough as well. I also did MIS abs, chest, back and shoulders. Will try and do bis and tris tonight. MIS was tough and she does use heavy weights. I pretty much stuck to her weights and I was so glad when she went down for the second set. I still don't like upright rows, even with the barbell.

Yesterday we had to take our car to the dealer. There's something wrong with the paint and of course, the guy who needed to look at it wasn't there so we have to go back tomorrow.:( We just got back from the nursery and got some plants for our front yard. Everything else died out and we need to keep up our curb appeal. We have four visitors on Sunday. We see people kind of eyeing our house and we just scoop them up and invite them in. We're not doing much for vacation. We're going to see Chuck & Larry on Thursday. I wanted to see Hairspray but C&L looked funny so I said okay. Hopefully, we'll get to the beach maybe one day. It's going to be a heat wave here for the next week.

Gin - I'm getting more jealous as the road trip nears. You're so lucky! Glad you liked HSTA. It's nice you have both boys home with you.

Deanie - CTX sounds great. Glad you liked it. I'm still looking into getting that series. I think it was you who asked but no, there are no more vacations with the kids anymore. After the age of 14-15, they kind of want to do their own thing.

Tracee - I'm waiting to see about Cathe's August one too but if not I think I'm doing Apr '05 mixing PS in for a couple of weeks.

Cheryl - HSTA is High Step Training Advanced. It's the toughest of the high step workouts and has a lot of leg presses in it. There is no ab work but you do use your abs throughout the workout.

Gin~ Hope you enjoy Hershey, I don't think we are going to get there this year. We are going to 6 flags water park instead. (closer).

Marcy~ the last family vacation we took I was in college (and I am the oldest) and it didn't go well. I think the teen years are probably the cut off. Its a shame, the time the kids are old enough not to be "needy" on vacation, they aren't interested!:)

Ok, I just looked at the April '05 rotation and I think I'll be subbing in PS like Marcy said. The original looked a little too repititous to me and I think I'd go crazy doing only GS for 4 weeks. I love GS but I can only do so much of it before I get bored with it.

I'm trying to find a day that I can take my boys to a water park too. They really haven't had a vacation this summer so I think they might enjoy going.

I plan on doing the same rotation as you girls (Aug.05), but can we do some of Fitness Freak's other rotations in the future? I am curious about her "one body part a day". I don't have PS, so I will have to sub with...S&H??

Tracee--Enjoy LowMax tomorrow. I also wish you were going on the RT. I do plan on doing all 4 workouts, unless I colapse from exhaustion!:p }( :p

Marcy--What a tough workout day you had..IMAX3 and MIS? Whew! Good luck with you house. Let us know about the movie. I haven't seen any this summer. I also wish you were going on the RT! I love having my boys here and also younger son's GF was here for the last 3 days and just left...FUN! We played games and watched home movies last night. Either we are not so embarassing or they are nerds, or a little of both?!?!;-)

Deanie--We took our boys with on vacations up until a couple of years ago! I think at 18 and 21 they still went with us. Of course they were talking on their cell phones a lot of the time, but think they still had fun.

Gin~ just so you know, I am probably going to do the April 05 as is (weight work wise). If I get bored doing GS for to long, I'm only going to sub in PS for one week. I did change the cardio on this rotation to suit me: no 20 min. cardio after C&T, and the 2nd cardio of the week I'm going to do the treadmill HIIT (except for the last week, I'm keeping as is)

You know when I typed August, I meant April.:7 What a Ding Dong! But are we taking a recovery week next week? And by "recovery", what are you thinking about doing? I'll be gone 1/2 of the week anyway.

What does HIIT stand for? I may have asked before.

The HIIT on my treadmill is a 20 min. program:
warm up
intervals: 30 sec. high speed and incline; 1:30 min. no incline, slower speed

Ladies, I have so much catching up to do on these posts!

I was headed to bed when I realized I didn't post. I'm did BM2 Upper 2x w/ abs (cause yesterday didn't work out for me).

I still have to work on my eating. I keep snacking at night (not to nite though!). Grrrrr....

I'm ashamed to say that I only browsed thru the posts before posting now. I'm sorry! I'm glad to see you're all on track :)

I don't know what I'll do with Aug. I don't have all the DVD's (although I've been looking thru some rotations to see what I can do). I'm also going to FL for a week, so that'll throw things out of wack a bit, but I'll use their gym. Any suggestions for a travel workout?
