Good Morning Everyone :)

Today was 40 min. on the treadmill. I did a steady state run and listened to some fun music. It took a while for me to get into it, I haven't been on the treadmill in 3 weeks, and steady state running can be boring, but I did it. I also did A-Jocks cool abs mish mosh: CTX kickbox planks, coremax's ball rollouts, MIS abs on the long bench. That was a great ab workout. It also makes my MIS workout tomorrow a little shorter which is good, summer break begins tomorrow! I'm not sure if I can sleep later and then workout, if the kids will be okay behaving, or if I still have to get up early, so a short workout will be a good test.

Graduation was wonderful. My son won a presidential award for academic excellence, which really means something, because this year he is an A/B student and previously he was a C/D student. The ADD diagnosis and treatment (meds.) really helped get him to focus and it shows.:7 :7 We are very proud of him! and the weather held off. It stormed at 4pm, but the party was over at 2:30 so all went well!!

Marcy- I hope your graduation went well! You must be so proud of your son!! I hope you enjoyed your dinner and guest. That was very sweet of your son to invite the teacher:)

Gin- I hope we didn't miss you- have a great trip to your brothers house, enjoy your nephew(s). (sorry, forgot if it was 1 or 2)x( Anyway, enjoy! Did you do MIS? how was it?

Tracee- Hope you had a good workout. Did you end up doing yoga today?

Have a good one-
BBL,

You and Gin started a thread at the same time but since she is going to be gone for the rest of the day I decided to post here.:)

Once again, Thursday became a sleep in day for me. I don't know what it is about that day but I just hit a wall and can't pry myself out of bed at 5am.

Deanie - Congrats on your sons award and on a successful graduation party. It sounds like they do a little more at your 5th grade recognition than they did at ours. :(

Marcy - I hope your sons graduation went well also. I'll have to go back and read about the dinner thing that Deanie mentioned.

Gin - have a good trip and hope you can check in with us. I'm already dreading another weight workout this week because I'm so sore all over. I'm still sore right by my armpits from Monday's chest workout.

Hi Ladies!

Today was yoga for me. I attempted to do David Swenson's 2nd Ashtanga Series. This is definitely advanced. I didn't do any of the headstands (7 in all). I am really trying to get his 1st Series which he says you should be doing before attempting the next series. I haven't even looked at the 3rd series yet but if it's more advanced than the 2nd, I can only imagine how tough it's going to be. This is definitely one practice that won't get easy anytime soon. My flexibility just really wasn't there today. He also doesn't do any warmup since he says in the intro that there was only so much room on the disk so I did 5 sun salutations and some warriors and then got started. This is truly an example of achieving superb body strength without weights. My Shiva Reas are hopefully coming before next Thursday (Fluid Power and Yoga Shakti) so if they do, that is what I'll be doing next week.

My DS's graduation isn't until Tuesday. I'll let you know all about it on Wed.

Gin - Hope you have a good visit with your nephews and that you have time to work out and check in with us.

Deanie - I'm so happy your DS's graduation went so well. That's quite an accomplishment for your DS. The meds definitely help. I'm glad the weather held out for the pool party. That ab mish-mosh sounds tough. Hope your kids behave for you now that they're off.

Tracee - I guess you needed the rest. The good thing about the X rotation is you get the 2 toughest strength workouts out of the way. I always look forward to Thursdays and yoga and Friday's Legs & Back is a nice workout that I don't dread. Sorry about all your DOMS. That must have been some workout if you're still sore today. Was Monday PUB?

Okay Girls-

I am officially joining you working women!:) The nursery school director called today and asked if I've thought about the 5 day 4's. We talked about 4 days, but she really needs someone in there 5 days. I said I would do it!!! It is mon-fri 9-12. I will not be doing any enrichments (12-2pm) like I did this year, so I'm sure the schedule will be manageable. I am nervously (sp?) excited!! I really like the 4 year old class routine, and I like the teachers very much! and this still leaves me time to help out in my younger sons class (he asked me to be room mom next year) and food shop during the week. Okay, just wanted to share my big news:)

Marcy- Kudos to you for even trying the second practice!! I know thats got to be hard! You have so many new dvds coming you won't know what to do first! LOL! Keep us posted. Also, I wanted to mention, I am not down on P90X,(I still haven't taken measurements, but definately see results I'm happy with) and would seriously consider buying it to do next march or april (I don't think I'd want to do it agin before then)

Tracee- Don't worry that you missed today. I kinda feel weird doing cardio 3 days too. Hopefully you won't be sore tomorrow, and will enjoy MIS.

Deanie

Deanie - Congratulations! It sounds like the perfect schedule for me. I'm glad everything worked out for you. I wish I only had 3 hours a day. Time for work and to get everything else done.

I got a dress today at Dress Barn. White sundress with a brown print and brown ribbon for a belt, knee length, size 4. It's sure been a while since I was a size 4 in a dress. Still haven't taken my measurements yet but even if I don't go down anymore for this rotation, I'm happy. I actually saw a Fitness Freak rotation that I kind of liked (all the ones that I've done of hers have worked great for me):

After the X is over, I think it will be a few months before I do another X rotation, especially if I wind up moving. We're supposed to have another open house this Sunday. July 7th or 8th will be my last day of the X. Can you tell I can't wait? I'm counting down the days.

Marcy

Marcy- your dress sounds adorable.:) I love sun dresses. Size 4! That great. I have to laugh, I saw this rotation also and liked it. I like the premixes she uses from PP and SS. After I'm done this rotation, I would do the above rotation with you. I can start July 9. I agree about the X. The results are great, yours I'm sure better than mine since you will actually complete it;) , but 3 months is a long time for such an intense rotation.

Deanie:*

Deanie - July 9 is exactly when I'll be able to start. I really like PP and SS and wish I found the time to do them more often but I think they'll be perfect after this long rotation and good to switch up because they're more for muscle endurance. I really like the music on these too although they're a little lacking in the abs sections.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I did start the thread. Guess it was hard to locate. I am taking a break in between playing Lego Creator and watching old Brady Bunch dvds.:p Fortunately, my shoulder is no longer sore like it was this morning after MIS.

Deanie--Glad your son's graduation and swim party was a success and that he is doing so well in school. I know you are all happy about that. Congrats on getting the 4 year old teaching position. We will have to share curriculum ideas!:)

Tracee--I have been very tired in the mornings so I can relate.

Marcy--I did see Debbie's rotation and it looks like a good one.

I am going to attempt KPC in my younger nephew's room tomorrow because the dvd player in the family room is not working. His room is not very big so it will be quite a challenge!

Take care!
GIn

Gin - I did see that you started the thread this morning so you get extra credit! The Brady Bunch used to be my favorite show when I was a kid. Sounds like you're having a ball! Good luck doing KPC! Hope to hear from you tomorrow.
