Good Morning Ladies!

Today I did the 45 min. run and then PLB and then Stretch Max segment with the band.....Whew!:p PLB is really not one of my favorites. It seems that during the leg press, lunges and squats, I hardly feel it in my legs, but it just gets my HR up. The floor work is better.
Do you guys all have your credit cards ready??:+ :+ :+ I do!!

Okay..Here is the silly question of the day....What personality (celebrity or famous person)do you most resemble? (personality-wise)

Deanie--Hope you had a safe trip to Philly and a nice visit with your family. A lot of driving yesterday, right?

Tracee--How is your son? We have missed you.

Marcy--What is going on with your house?

Have a great day and workout!
Gin:)

Good Morning Gin and all who come after!

Today I did 45 min. on the treadmill, and ab hits: ctx power circuit planks/step heat. and I did the stretch from PLB. The run on the treadmill was fun, but my discman conked out on me after 15 min, and I was a little bored!

Gin~ what an amazing workout you did today! I just can't seem to focus after an hour. Your workout must have been about 2 hours! whew! The trip to Philly was fun, the visit with family was very nice, but the way home was construction city! A normal 3 hour ride home became a 5 hour ride home! Boy were we happy to be home! It so hard, we love family and love seeing them, but the ride up or back always is an issue. I have no idea what personality I have like a celebrity. I can say, I am a pretty upbeat personality, and I like to get my own way (who doesn't!) What celeb are you like?

Tracee~ I hope your son is doing well. We miss you

Marcy~ I hope you had a great weekend.

BBL,

Deanie:*
eta: I am not moving from the computer until I have ordered my new Cathe dvds (and I may get a Cathe baseball tee, just not sure I want her name on my shirt or not)

Good morning ladies. I finally made it back onto the computer.

Thanks for the well wishes for my ds. He did fine through the surgery but the recovery has been difficult. I don't think we were quiet prepared for how much it was going to hurt. The doctors and nurses kept telling us that it was a simple procedure and he should do fine and that it was so much better than years ago because they use lasers. It may be better than years ago but it's still major surgery and painful according to my son. He slept alot on Thursday and Friday and didn't want anything to eat, not even ice cream or popsicles. On Saturday and Sunday, he still didn't want to eat but he didn't sleep as much. I always heard that kids constantly ate ice cream and popsicles during their recovery but that just wasn't the case for us. Anyway, I finally got him to eat a small dinner last night so he could have some nutrition and I hope that he starts to really improve now.

Anyway, I've slacked off on the workouts too. I have been finding it difficult to get motivated on the weekends (big surprise, not!). So I think I'm going to try real hard to do 5 days during the week and take the weekends off. We'll see how that goes since I usually falter around Thursdays. x(

Since this morning was a run which I am not able to do, I did the first 5 intervals of IMAX2 and shoulders from S&H. I enjoy doing a short cardio and some weights on the same day. I was hoping to get some abs in too but I ran out of time.

Sounds like you're all doing well with your workouts. It helps knowing that you guys are here for support.

Deanie - sorry about your 3 bad things last week. But the presale sounds like it's the start of good things.

I'll try to check back later.

Tracee

Deanie - You can leave the house now I'm assuming since Cathe's presale is ready now. Ha!

Gin - I forgot to answer your question about the personality. I don't think I have a personality like any celebrity because I'm very shy. Since most celebrities don't appear shy on camera it is too difficult to compare myself to any of them. Basically, I consider myself to be a very nice person but reserved. I'm not one to approach people I don't know and I don't make friends very easily. However, the friends I do have I usually have for a very long time.

I love the way the new workouts are described. Sounds like the premixes are going to be worth the price of the cd's as usual. :)

Okay, I ordered. But I never got an email about it! Running out, bbl to chat.
I'm very happy to hear all is well with the surgery for your son Tracee.

Hi Ladies!

Glad to see we're all back on today. I had a busy weekend again. Saturday was shopping and then preparing for open house (no one showed) but my sister-in-law came over for a visit. Sunday we went on a motorcycle run to an orphanage (Christmas in June) to deliver gifts. When you take a look at the kids that are there, you realize how lucky you are that your kids are healthy and that they have you. Yesterday we actually had 3 people come over to look at the house (the last one seemed promising) so keep your fingers crossed for me. Now on to my workout:

Today was my last Chest, Shoulders & Tris workout.YAYYYYYYYY!!! I think this one was the toughest for me in this rotation. Here are todays and final results for this workout:

Slow-Motion 3-in-1 pushups: 12 + 13 bonus (up 3 from week 10 and also up 3 from week 5)
In & Out Shoulder Flys: 16 reps at 13# (up 1# from week 10 and 3# from week 5)
Chair Dips: 45 with leg raise (up 3 from week 10 and up 15 from week 5)
Plange Pushups: 21 reps (up 3 from week 10 and up 9 from week 5)
Pike Presses: 15 reps (up 2 from week 10 and up 5 from week 5)
Side Tri-Rises: 30 each side (up 15 from week 10 (week 10 was a bad week, week 7 I did 25 each side) and up 12 from week 5)
Floor Flys: 16 (up none from last week and up none from week 5). This is one tough exercise! Never gets easier.
Scarecrows: 8 reps at 14.5# (up 1.5# from week 10 and up 4.5# from week 5)
Overhead Tricep Extensions: 10 reps at 14.5# (up 1.5# from week 10 and up 4.5# from week 5)
Two-Twitch Speed Push-ups: 18 reps (up 3 from week 10, up 5 from week 5)
Y-Presses: 10 reps at 16.5# (up 1.5# from week 10, up 4.5# from week 5)
Lying Tricep Extensions: 10 reps at 16.5# (up .5# from week 10, up 4.5# from week 5)
Side-to-Side Pushups: 15 reps (up 2 reps from week 10, up 5 reps from week 5)
Pour Flys: 8 reps at 11.5# (up 1.5# from week 10, up 1.5# from week 5)
Side-Leaning Tricep Extensions - 8 reps at 16# (up nothing from week 10, up 4# from week 5)
One-Arm Pushups: 16 reps (up nothing from week 10, up 8 reps from week 5)
Weighted Circles: 40 reps at 8# (up nothing from last week, up 3# for 2nd set of circles from week 5) This one never seemed to get easier either.
Throw the Bomb: 8 reps at 15# (up .5# from week 10 and up 7# from week 5)
Clap Pushups: 7 (pushed hands together on floor but never got hands off floor, I was disappointed since in week 10 I finally did 4 clapping pushups but I guess my strength wasn't there today or I pushed myself too hard for the beginning of the workout).
Slo-Mo Throws: 3 reps at 12#, 5 reps at 10# (up 2# for 3 reps, stayed same for other 5 reps from week 10, up 4# from week 5 for 3 reps, up 2# for other 5 reps from week 5)
Front-to-Back Tricep Extensions: 10 reps at 13# (up 1# from week 10, up 3# from week 5)
One-Arm Balance Push-Ups: 14 with leg in air (stayed same from week 10, up 6 reps from week 5 (didn't do leg raises in week 1)
Fly-Row Presses: 8 reps at 12# (up nothing from week 10, up 4# from week 5)
Dbbl Cross-Body Blows: 16 reps at 16# (up 1# from week 10 - 16 reps, up 8# from week 1 at 34 reps).

Gin - I have to think about the personality question. That's a tough one. But I do have my CC ready and will be pre-ordering when I'm done with this post. Great work on S&H. PLB is definitely not one of my favorites either.

Deanie - Hope you had a nice trip to Philly. Awesome weights on S&H legs. Sorry you had such a bad trip home.

Tracee - Glad you son's surgery went well but sorry for his difficult recovery. Hopefully it will be better from here on out. Workout on on weekends is hard for me too. I try and give it my all Monday through Friday and then if I'm lucky I might get one workout in on the weekend. Are you pre-ordering the 4 day split? It sounds like it might be perfect for you since you only have 5 days. I figured if I did this, I could make the 5th day yoga and it would have everything I needed for the week. For this rotation, I've had a lot of trouble adding Ab Ripper X at the end. I always seem to run out of time and then scramble to try and make it up.

Have a great day everyone.

Marcy

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I am so excited about the new 4 day split dvds. They sound perfect! In answer to my own silly question....I am also quite reserved when I first meet someone. You guys probably don't watch Desperate Housewives, but I think I am a combo of Bree and Susan. Like Bree, because in my own world I like everything lined up and in it's place and like Susan because I think I'm really kind of a mess, clumsy and saying and doing goofy things.

Deanie--You are amazing to be able to run 45 min. if you don't run very often! It was quite tough for me! :p You are such an inspiration. Sorry about your discman. Do you have a t.v. in there? I'll admit I had to stop the PLB tape a few times to get my HR down. Did you order a baseball tee?

Tracee--Sorry about your son's difficult recovery. Hopefully this will take care of the strep throat reoccurance. Don't worry about not getting in your workouts. You were taking care of more important things! But you got a good one in today.

Marcy--16 one arm pushups? You are my hero! Did your family go with you to deliver the Christmas gifts? I know my boys benefited as much as the recipients did when they helped me with Meals on Wheels!

Gin:)

Hi Gin -

My CC is steaming right now! I just ordered this morning. My DH and I went. It was a motorcyle run so only room for 2. There were about 100-150 other bikes with us. I only watched a few shows of Desperate Housewives but now I have a good picture of what you're like. Now that we're selling the house, I kind of like keeping everything put away and out of sight.

As far as abs go, I usually get in around 2-3 times a week. On P90X, Tony says "you don't work other body parts every day, so you shouldn't work abs every day." I guess I kind of feel this way too. I've read on the boards that some people who work them too much wind up getting thick around the middle which is the exact opposite of what everyone's trying to do.

Marcy

I probably missed you all, but its been a busy day...

Gin~ Don't give me to much credit:) - I ran for 45 min, but only on 5.0 speeed.(personality trait, I don't take compliments well:) ) I do have a t.v. in the workout room, but no reception since its in the basement, I thought of putting in a video, but then it would be to loud and wake the kids. it was okay, just boring. I ended up not getting a t-shirt. I ordered it, then it didn't bring the total up to get the free shipping, and I couldn't figure out when I would be getting it; with the dvds or now? So I passed. did you get an email? I signed up for emails, and never got one.

Marcy~ You go girl}( }( I bow to you, you are the official push up Queen. I am really impressed!:) This rotation has been great for you. Did you take before and after pictures? Are you going to share?!;) I agree with you about the abs. I think less is more for me too. Your weekend sounded nice. I hope something comes from the open house.

Tracee~ I'm glad the surgery went well, sorry about the recovery. I always feel, about working out, something is better than nothing. The new dvds should be right up your alley! I was so excited to order I didn't even see about the premixes info. I had to go back and read it!

have a great evening-

Deanie:*

Yes, I'm very excited about these new workouts. That's why I loved CTX so much because on most days they were just right for me. Too bad I screwed up and lost them. :-(

Gin - I'm glad to know a little more about you. I like Desperate Housewives so now I have a good picture of your personality too. I think I misunderstood the original questions so if I had to pick a character I was most like I would have to say Lynette from Desp. Housewives. Or at least that's what my life is the most like at the moment.

marcy - Good job on the pushups. Wow! I would love to see before and after pics if you had some. But I would understand if you didn't want to post because I'm a little leary of having my picture on the web.

Have a good evening.
