Good Morning Girls :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I did~ we decided to go a whole different way with the Bar Mitzvah, and we found a restaurant and booked it! Whew! So place and food, out of the way, on to DJs....Big sigh of relief!!

Today was PUB. Of course, I did abs first. Then I did the workout. I did the weights I did last time I did this workout, which maybe was to heavy? I haven't done this in 3 or 4 weeks. So by the time I got to biceps I was fried.

Stats:
chest: 15-17-20 (can't seem to go higher than 20 for flys in this workout)
back: 15-20-25
shoulders: 3-5-7 as always!!x(
tri: 8-10-12 kickbacks; 15-20-25 overhead press
bi: 10-12-15 but on the way down, had to go to 10s for the last 4 reps of trad. curls with 12s~ that was dissappointing:(

Marcy~ whats on the schedule for you today? How'd you do?

Gin~ I hope you had a nice weekend. Did you get to visit your mom?

Tracee~ Well, did your DSs team win???:) I hope so!!

Cheryl~ How's your mom? Did you wake up early today? and most importantly~ How's the eating coming? hopefully you added more to your diet.

Later~

Hi Ladies!

I was supposed to do PUB this morning but couldn't get psyched up to do it with all the weight changes so I switched it with Thursday's workout: ME Upper Body Split, BC Upper Body and BC Abs. Except that I did ME abs yesterday so I left them out of the premix and only did the military press for shoulders in BC and used 8#. BC Upper Body is almost identical to the ME Upper Body Split and I didn't feel like repeating everything. Here are the rest of the stats:

One Arm Dbbl rows - 20#
Biceps - 20# (did most, but not all reps)
Chest - 8# (at first thought 8# was too light but with all those pulses 8# was just right). Used 8# dbbl to do press.
Pushups - did all.
Dips
Kickbacks - 8#
Overhead press - 10# plate
Front/Side raise - 5#
I also added in 1 close grip pullup (made it up to bar level) and 1 chinup (halfway).

This rotation has been a little tough for me with all the endurance work. It's a little hard figuring out what weight to use. I'm really looking forward to heavy lifting again. I've lost 2.4# since last week. Not that I'm trying but I am eating much better.

Deanie - Glad things are coming along with the Bar Mitzvah. Good luck with finding a DJ. Looks like you had a great workout.

Cheryl - Glad your mom is home from the hospital. It's good she has plenty of family around to help out.

Tracee - Hope your DS's game went well. How was your workout today?

Gin - The DM timesaver cardio packs quite a punch in a short amount of time (36 mins. I think). How was your workout today?

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I did PUB abs, ran 3 miles then the rest of PUB. Yesterday was a rest day.:) I was able to use the same weights as Cathe except (again!) I am not able to up to 20# on chest fly and bench press and not able to go to 10# on kickbacks. The rest was fine. I night have been able to heavier on back, but don't have anything more that 20#ers.

Have you guys ever done a one body part a day rotation? And what did you think of it? I read something that Fitness Freak said...she recommends taking a one week break everyone 8 weeks. Is that a total break or light cardio and yoga??

Deanie--Sounds as if things are moving right along with your Bar Mitzvah plans. You are so organized! I am planning to go visit my mom on Wed-Sat this week.

Marcy--You DO NOT need to lose any more weight, girl! It has taken be 4 weeks to lose 4 lbs.:p I did have some ice cream on DH's birthday. We shared a scoop of chocolate.:9

Tracee--How was the baseball game?

Cheryl--How is your mom?

Off to color my hair.
Gin :)

Good afternoon ladies. I just got back from the eye doctor and they dilated my eyes so I'm having a hard time looking at the computer. I'm hoping it will get better pretty soon otherwise it's kind of a waste to sit at work when I can't really focus.

My son's team made it to the championship game yesterday but lost. :-( Actually, it's kind of a nice relief to be done with baseball now. We've been doing it since May so we need a break. The winning team has to go on to the next tournament which is out of state and I don't think we were quite prepared to do that.

I also squeezed in a shopping trip to an outlet mall in Indiana with my mom and sister. I was successful in buying clothes for myself which almost never happens. I'm usually too busy buying stuff for the kids. My sister and mom kept bringing me stuff to try on in the dressing room because they said it was so much fun picking up clothes in small sizes. HA! I felt like I was on What Not to Wear with all the help I was getting.

I did PUB this morning and stayed at the same weight as last time which matches Cathe in most of the sets except when she goes over 20. I also have to go lighter on biceps on this one. I'm fried after the 10's and 12's on the up cycle.

Gin - As far as Debbie's recommendation of a rest week I would think it would mean light exercise like yoga or walking, stretching, etc. I'm thinking it might be a good thing to stick in after this workout.

Deanie - Glad to hear you've made progress with the party. I love when things can finally be crossed off the list.

Marcy - I can't believe you're still losing weight. Good for you even though you don't need to lose any more. I've had a hard time figuring out what weights to use in this rotation too. I still prefer to lift heavy so it's hard to wrap my head around going lighter.

Cheryl - Hope all is well with you and that you're doing well with the eating. Maybe now that my schedule has slowed down I might be able to make a few more meals instead of eating out all the time.

Have a good day everyone.

Good Afternoon all!

Spent a VERY frustrating morning shopping for school supplies. How Target can say they have all your school supplies is beyond me. No black and white composition notebooks(all grades use them) and no notebook paper!!!!! The notebook selection alone was pathetic... Okay thanks for letting me rant!!

I also was thinking of doing a "recovery" week when we are done this rotation. Like we did when doing the faux X.

Marcy~ I hear you! I also have a hard time figuring out what weights to use for muscle endurance. That is why most of the time I just follow Cathe. Looks like you had a great workout this morning. 20# for biceps~ I'm jealous:) Don't lose any more weight!!! You'll turn sideways and we won't see you!! LOL

Gin~ Funny how we are all thinking about a rest week. It must be the weather and the heavy weights! I hope you like your hair color. Same as always? or did you go for something different?

Tracee~ Yeah! for getting in to the championships!!!:) and for you (not DS) yeah! for being done with baseball. I felt the same way by the end of spring season: I want my sons team to win, but I am soooo tired of baseball!!!(and I do love the sport!) We actually will be registering for fall baseball in a few days!

Cheryl~ I hope you are having a nice day!

FYI: update (because you know how anal I can be:) ): What do you all think about doing April 05 rotation after the recovery week? Someone in the video/discussion forum suggested doing GS (which is in the 4/05 rotation)with the mix and match feature...I think I am going to try that. (using the same disc~ so mix and match chest and tri, mix and match back, shoulders,bi) Any thoughts? Marcy, are you game? just adding in PS?

Sorry for the longggggg post!!:)

Hi Again!

You guys are all making me dread doing PUB on Thursday. I like this rotation but I will be glad when it's over.

Deanie - I have to thank you for the almonds/apricots idea. It makes the almonds go down much easier.:) I don't envy you. I am so glad I don't have to shop for school supplies anymore. Have you tried Office Max/Office Depot/Staples? A recovery week sounds good. I've been neglecting my yoga and it would feel great after this rotation. Mix and Match sounds interesting. I'll think about it. It might be good for me since I don't like exhausting one muscle group at a time. I might get better results switching back and forth. I will probably do April '05 with PS and mix/match.

Gin - Don't feel bad. As I've said before, Cathe is a killer with chest and bis. I never get up to her with chest either. I have never done a one body part a day rotation but have wanted to do one for awhile. I would say light cardio and yoga is fine for rest week. Like I said, I didn't plan to lose weight, I'm just eating cleaner and watching my portions a little better so I guess that's making a difference. It's been good though because I'm clearing the closets of lots of old clothes!

Tracee - Sorry about your DS's loss but now maybe you can relax for awhile. Sounds like you had a blast on your shopping trip. LOL!Doesn't it feel good when you can find the right clothes? I may have done 20# for biceps (bbl not dbbls) but I couldn't get through all the reps. She had me fried.

Cheryl - Hope you're doing well with your eating. Keep us posted.

Marcy

Good Afternoon Ladies!

If we do a "recovery week" after this rotation, the Road Trip will fall on that weekend.:p So I guess I would end that revovery with a BANG!!}(
I just bought IMAX3 for $15.00 (ship. incl.) from someone on the yaya board. I think now the only one I may still want is PS.??

Tracee--How are your eyes now? I know you are proud of your DS's team. But I know what you mean about being almost glad that it's over. We could never take a vacation or send the boys to camp until the very end of the summer because of baseball. But, happy times and good memories! Sounds like you had a fun shopping trip.

Deanie--Sorry about the frustrating school shopping trip! My hair is the same color. But, I am going to have it cut and partial highlight tomorrow. I'm not sure what you mean about doing the Mix & Match.

Marcy--Don't dread doing PUB. The only bad part is the bicep portion seem to go on forever! But somehow I was able to lift all the same as Cathe. (biceps anyway):)

Off to run errands,
Gin

Gin~ Congrats on Imax 3. I didn't realize you don't have this one. You will love it. it is my favorite Imax! And you don't NEED PS, but I would recommend it. It has 10 reps for most exercises, and it has some different exercises in it. Its also good for a change of pace. I am doing the 4/05 rotation with just GS, unless I get bored of 4 weeks of it, then I'd do the last week with PS.

Here's what I mean by the mix and match: (and if this takes to long, I will only be doing it for the one week)
GS chest and tri ~
72 pushups (chest)
Dips (tri)
Bench press (chest)
lying extension (tri)
bench press (chest)
lying extension (tri)
bench press (chest)
lying extension (tri)
flys (chest)
overhead extension(tri)
flys (chest)
overhead extension (tri)
etc....

I think it would be interesting to try, at least for one week. So I'm going to give it a shot.

Marcy~ I am enjoying this rotation too. I was wondering if you were keeping up with your yoga. Its hard if its not on the rotation, I think.

Have a good evening,

Deanie
