Good Morning Ladies!

Today I also did Body Max2 double upper body and ran 3 miles before that. I tried to do the same weights as Cathe the first go round, but then had to drop down the second time. I was shaking during those snow angels at the end.:p
Florida was great! The beaches are beautiful!:+ :+ :+ We drove back all in one day yesterday (13 hours!) and had the dog with us. It was great to see my son. I worked out a little bit while there. We walked and one day went to the gym with DS and did some of the machines there.

Deanie--I saw your revised rotation and plan to follow a little of both. I love mixing it all up now that I have so many workouts to chose from.

Marcy--Congrats on completing the x!! That is such an accomplishment!! Way to go! I didn't realize that you were a legal secretary. My DH is a lawyer.

Tracee--Sounds as if you have been doing well and are on a workout streak. Good for you!

Cheryl-- Welcome!! Glad you are joining our group. I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I am 47 (the oldest here!:7 ), married 25 years and we have 2 sons (20 and 23), and I have been teaching 4 year olds for 15 years. So I have the summer off. Yeah! I run twice week and yoga 3 x a week as well as Cathe workouts.

Filming starts today! YIPEEEEE!!:+
Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone. Well, I hit a little speed bump with the rotation already. I woke up at 1:30 in the morning and could not for the life of me get back to sleep. I managed to get maybe another hour in between 5 and 6 but that's it. I'm ready to drop right off my chair right now but I've got things to do all day so I've got to stay awake. So, I'll be doing the upper body workout tomorrow unless I can squeeze it in this afternoon in between my other scheduled things.

Deanie & Gin - Congrats on doing a great job on the workout today. The minute I woke up I knew I was going to be so bummed that I hadn't been able to do this workout with you guys. :-(

Cheryl - How did you do today? Did you manage to get up early? I know that is so hard to do. The only reason I do it in the morning is because that is the only time I have. Also, I like to do it before I shower for the day so I don't have to shower twice.

Marcy - Congrats on finishing the X. Did you do the BM2 premix today too?

I keep checking the blog but it hasn't been updated yet. I want more pictures!! :)

Hi Ladies!

Yes, I've officially graduated from the X! I never did Stretch X this weekend but I still consider myself a graduate. Today I did Push/Pull Upper Body 3X premix. (Never did this one before). This was definitely a change from Tony. I wasn't used to all the reps and I purposely tried to count them all. This premix is 65 minutes but with all the weight changes and rests it took me an hour and 34 minutes. Here are my stats (all of these are 3 sets):

Bench Press on Floor - 19# (15 reps) all sets (last set put legs in air for more of a challenge).
Deadrows - 40# (8 slow, 15 fast)
Chest Flies on Ball - 15# - 16 reps
Fonz on ball - 16 reps
Inverted Shoulder Press (pike on chair) - 10 reps
One Arm Rows - 1st 2 sets - 33# (12 reps), last set 29#
Front Raise on ball - 13# (10 reps)
Rear Delt raise on ball - 8# (10 reps)
1 foot on ball with hammer curl - 13# - 10 reps
1 foot on ball with traditional curl - 13# - 10 reps
slow tricep dips - 10 reps
Dbl Arm Tricep Kickbacks - 13# - 12 reps
Modified Superman - 16 reps
Reverse Crunch with ball (fast and 2-2 ct) lost count how many reps.

I forgot to do C&W abs. I'll tack them on to tomorrow's workout: Step Sweatfest with Tracey Staehle.

Eating was a bit better this weekend. I'm gathering up all my results on the X and will post them shortly.

Deanie/Gin: Great BM2 workout!

Cheryl: What workout did you do today? I'll take a look at the list of workouts that you have and I'll make recs later.

Tracee: Congratulations on your consistency. Lack of sleep really kills workouts. Maybe you can make them up on the weekend.

Gin: Welcome back. Glad you had a great visit with DS and that you were able to fit in some workouts. What type of law does your DS practice? What kind of dog do you have? I have a pomeranian. You must have a really good dog to make a long car trip like that. Mine usually gets sick in the car but he's gotten better.

Will BBL to chat. Have a great day!

Marcy

Hi Again!

Cheryl - As far as adding to your collection, I would suggest the following since you want to concentrate more on the lower half:

Gym Style Legs (to have the complete GS series)
KPC/Legs & Glutes - one of my absolute favorites
Low Max - low impact, but high intensity

Question 1: Do you want total body or split series strength workouts?

Question 2: Do you like athletic or dancy cardio/step?

Marcy

Good Afternoon!

Tracee--Sorry you had trouble sleeping last night. Hate when that happens. I'll bet you are tired.

Cheryl--Do you workout later in the day? Are you working or in school or both?

Marcy--Good job on the PP upper body. We used that one so much with the faux x, I wanted to do BM2 instead. My DH practices banking law. We have a Welsh corgi and she was pretty good in the car, but would bark every time one of us would stop and get out. Major seperation anxiety! She is really my DS's dog, so he was probably more excited to see her than us! He took her to meet all his friends. He was showing her off like a new baby.;)

Deanie--Hope you are having a good day!

Take care!
Gin:)

Good Afternoon!

Tracee~ I'm sorry you didn't get a good nights sleep. Do you do caffine? maybe a large starbucks coffee will help:)

Cheryl~ I hope you had a good workout.

Gin~ I did BM2 today for the same reason:) I'm glad you had a nice visit with your son.

Marcy~ Good job with PP. Were you confused on which weights to use? I was. We've been doing strength for so long, its hard to get out of the mind set.

Off to the blog... I hope there are some pictures and I hope taping started today!

Hi!

Deanie - Yes, I was confused on the weights. Biceps worked out okay for me but the one-arm rows I thought I could do the same as the X but it was a little too heavy. The workout wasn't real hard but it was a little bit of a challenge (not used to doing all those reps and the slower counts made a difference). I felt a lot stronger in my chest (probably from all those pushups I did in the X.) Front raise for shoulders was no problem but I was pushing it a little with 8# for rear delts. Triceps weren't a problem, nor were bench presses or deadrows. It was a nice change of pace. Forgot to mention my heartrate actually stayed up in my zone for about 30 mins. Pretty good for a strength workout, huh?

Gin - My brother has a Corgi too but was somewhat violent. Ripped my DS's sweaters. bit people. They were almost going to get rid of it but they got too attached to it (especially my nephew). They have to keep it caged. I hope yours is much better behaved. I love dogs and wouldn't have a dog if I had to keep it caged in my home. I worked for a banking/bankruptcy attorney for 14 years. Now I'm working in corporate finance/transactions dept.

Hey all

I did get up early (for me anyway). I worked out at 6am and I was so happy I did. I made my day a little less stressful because I wasn't racing home from work to workout. It also helped my eating, because I didn't have to worry about having a cramp in my side if I ate and worked out!

I did Upper Body 2x thru (from BM2) and abs - whew! My back is sore :) I am following my rotation to the tee. I couldn't match Cathe's weights but i did the first round. Oh, that rocket shoots get me too. I don't think I'm doing them right, but I keep trying!
Congrats to everyone else on your workouts...will I ever be up there with you girls? Gin, I can't beleive you ran three miles and did the BM2 Upper!!

Tracee - hope you get in your sleep tonight and can work out tomorrow. I think I'm about to fall asleep too!

Marcy - what can I say - I want to be like you too :) Thank you for the suggestions too. To answer your questions...I think I like to split the strength workouts because I feel like I'm really focusing on the muscles.

I also like bot athletic and dancy cardio/step. Basically, I want a challenging, yet fun, workout. I love to dance...my favorite is swing dancing!!

I will get in earlier tomorrow...off to bed now!

:)
