Good Morning Girls :)

Today I did a "mish mosh" of my own. I did KPC: warm up, combo 1,2 &3, then switched to KM and did: combos 2,3,&4 and stretch. It was fun and a good workout!

I loved the pictures on the blog! Boot camp looks challenging!

Gin/Marcy~ I really enjoyed "seeing" you guys yesterday. Fun!

Tracee/Cheryl~ I hope you have a good workout.

I am home again today, lots to do for the birthday party tomorrow! I will be baking ipods today:) My DS found a fun recipie for brownies, making them look like ipods, and he wants that for his bday party.

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I ran 3 miles with my friends and then came back home to do RS.:p My HRM said I burned 700 calories!:p :p
I have a "summerfun" mtg this morning and DH and DS are leaving for a quick weekend trip to Chicago.,....so it will be just me and the dog here!

Ladies--have you seen the pictures on the blog? I am scared now after looking at the "airborne stepper" one!! YIKE STRIPES!

Deanie--I love your kickbox mish mosh! I think I will try that one next week. I love doing so many different workouts!
I want to see a pic of these ipod brownies. I can't even imagine.:) What kind of b-day party?

Cheryl---Saw your post from last night. Glad you are still with us!

Tracee and Marcy--What workout did you do today?

Good morning and happy friday!

Today was MIS upper body for me. I felt pretty good through the whole thing but towards the end I had to use lower weights than Cathe. I ran out of time to do abs so I'll throw those in tomorrow.

How fun that you guys all got to exchange pictures. I'd love to see what you all look like.

Gin - Have a good weekend with the dog. I would love to have time to myself like that.

Deanie - I bet you have the favorite house for all your son's friends to hang out at. You just seem like a cool mom. I'd also love to see a pic of those brownies or direct me to the site where your son found them.

Cheryl - glad you're still with the rotation. Sorry that most of us are in bed by the time you get a chance to post. What are you going to school for? You may have already told us but I forgot.

Marcy - Hope you had a good workout this morning.

Quick post guys, we are about to start baking:) The ipod brownies are in a back issue of Womens Day. June 20, 2006. I don't know if its on line. We saw the magazine at the checkout counter last year, and bought it, and then, never got to make them!

I hope I'm the favorite house, I like having the kids here. Also that way, I know what they are up to! LOL

Tracee~ If you send me your email, I will send you pictures, but I would like a picture of you too! Its nice to place a face with the name!

Gin~ I'm opposite of Tracee~ I would miss everyone for the whole weekend!:) What are your plans while they are gone? Pedicure?

Deanie - I found the recipe on the internet and all I can say is that you have more patience than I do. There were a lot of steps and lots of little candy pieces to work with. Good for you and I bet your boy's are loving making them.

Hi everyone!

Today I did Rhythmic Step. It was a lot of fun, as always. I did most of it on 8" until right before the challenge. I was getting a little tired at that point. I burned 411 calories. I wanted to do yoga but ran out of time so I popped in the Butts & Guts stretch. I really like that stretch. I love the standing split stretch. I am planning on posting my results today in a little while. One thing I'm very happy about is my bra size went down from a 34DD to a 32D. I'm guessing it was all those pushups! I have to recommend a great website for bras, lingerie, etc. called barenecessities.com. They have every conceivable size and type of bra and their service is super fast. I ordered Wednesday afternoon and they were delivered this morning! It feels good to finally be wearing the right size for me again. I don't think I will ever buy a bra from Victoria's Secret again. They definitely don't fit me right at all.

Deanie - I hope the brownies come out great. I loved all the pics on the blog. I wonder what that move is where their arms are on the step and their legs are in their air. Looks scary! How long did your mish-mosh take this morning? Sounds like fun.

Gin - You burned a lot of calories this morning. That was for both the run and RS, right? Do something special for yourself while everyone's away.

Tracee - Well, you saw me, now I have to see you. Got a pic? MIS is one of my dreaded workouts. It's real tough and it seems like it's never going to end.

Cheryl - Sorry we didn't get a chance to chat yesterday. If you send me your e-mail, I can send you some pics of my P90X results. You'll be lifting heavy soon. Remember, heavy is a relative term. I didn't start weight lifting until I turned 40 so you will get results if you stay on course. As far as the eating, like I said the other day, writing everything down helps me tremendously. I've been doing it this week and it's really working for me again.

Gin - Thought this book might interest you -- http://www.afterburntraining.com/ It's by Alwyn Cosgrove. A lot of people over at videofitness talk about him a lot. Maybe this might help you. I don't have any of his books so I can't give you my recommendation but I just thought you might like to take a look.

Okay, Ipods are complete!!! They took a long time to do, but we all did them together and it was fun. They look great!:)

Marcy~ Good workout today! Is it nice to be back to Cathe? Have you missed her, or are you missing Tony?:) Another similarity, we are now the same bra size!LOL I went to the web site, but I thought the bras were expensive. I guess I am stuck at V.S. I like their sales. Thanks for the bday wishes. I am sure all will go well. This is the easiest year yet. Just a movie, then pizza and cake(ipods), and then the sleepover.

Yes, it's real nice being back to Cathe. I have to admit I missed her warmups and stretches compared to Tony. Some of his were a little long and they were all the same so got a bit boring. Parts of them were effective (for instance, I don't mind power scissors and jumping jacks like I did before). Tony's stretches were okay but I just seem to like Cathe's better. A lot of the bras were expensive but I found a few in the $28-30 range that were good. I tried two 32Ds from VS from their sale and they weren't good at all but the one from BN fit perfectly. I admit I ordered a couple of expensive ones which I'm probably going to send back but I wanted to try them just to see if there was any big difference. Sounds like a real easy party. I used to have bowling parties a lot (it helped my sister-in-law worked there). One year I let DS pick one friend and we took them to an amusement park. They had a blast.

Marcy~ Thats a great idea. We don't live to far from Kings dominion. As they get older, its harder to find a birthday idea. Also, the summer is hard with peoples vacations and summer camp. He invited 3 boys, but only 2 are coming. One is not in town this weekend. But the amusement park next year would be a great idea. Thanks, I'm going to file that away!:)

Deanie - I remember going to Kings Dominion when the kids were little. We really enjoyed it. Thankfully you won't have too many kids. Sometimes its much nicer with a smaller group of kids. I still have a picture of myself on the Loch Ness Monster!

Good Afternoon Ladies!

What do you guys do when someone else prepares a meal for you and is not so healthy? The director was so kind to provide sandwiches for the teachers after the mtg. We had turkey on white bread with lettuce and mayo, pretzels and cookies. Turkey was good, the rest not so. I hate to be a food snob. Just hoping no one noticed I ate half of the sandwich and not the rest.:-(

Tracee--I think I have done MIS before, but don't remember it. I will send you a pic, but you need to send your e-mail address first. It took a long time to get to the point where I had time to myself. I had my first child at 24. The house is quiet, but you get used to it.

Cheryl--Try to write down everything you eat. I am a WW member and that is what they do. After 3 weeks, things become a habit. Try to make small changes. Good luck!

Deanie--I'll have to look for a pic of those ipod cakes! We had so many different kinds of boy b-day parties through the years...swimming, bowling, putt-putt, scavenger hunt, sleepovers, tennis lessons,ice hockey. I plan to shop, needlepoint, read and my Netflix Desperate Housewives should come in the mail today. I know I will be more that ready for them to return by Sunday.

Marcy--700 calories was for both the run and RS. Thanks for the book suggestion. I will definitely look at it.

Gin - Maybe you could say something like "I had a big breakfast" or "I'm just not that hungry right now". I also do needlepoint but ever since I've been working out, I haven't picked it up. I have a whole big box of projects I haven't even started yet! That was my obsession before working out. I must admit I am getting used to not having the kids around. My DS is out so much with work and friends, I barely see him that much these days. I had my DD at 21 and DS at 23 (well, a week before my 24th birthday).

Wow! your results all laid out like that are amazing!! Plus you are so consice (sp?) about everything. If I didn't already know and "use" this program your info was really informative. And the pushups!!!!!!O.M.G!!!!!Very impressive! (would have put that in bold, but I don't know how!):)

Sigh...well, at least I'm getting in before 10pm (my time) :) I did workout, but it was after work. I was so sick this morning. My head and neck were just pounding! I got to work late too, but I'm fine now.

I did my bm2 cardio blast...I had to lower my step after half an hour or I would have tripped and killed myself. I felt bad at first, but then I thought "hey, I'm still going on and with better form" so I felt better :)

Tomorrow is LIC with abs for me. I should get in earlier cause I don't have work to interrupt me (haha!).

Marcy my e-mail is [email protected] :) I'd love to see your pics! I forgot about the writing down thing. I tried it before and I didn't stick with it, but it is probably like everything else...you just have to disciple yourself :)

I love reading all your comments though, it's fun getting to know you all, even if I am only listening in :)
